  1. I wear cloth diapers so I change right away. I change the overpants too.
  2. I believe it was Nixon that first set wage and price controls. My father was the first to bring it to my attention. They found a simple solution. They started calling items by other names like hambuger meat vs. ground beef. When they called it something else, they could increase the price. I was in middle school at the time. To take the pinch out of fuel cost, I bought a Prius. It is a small car but on long trips I prefer my SUV. On a good day, the SUV gets 25 MPG. The Prius worst case is 50. I don't like the government dictation what kind of car to buy but the Prius didn't cost more than an average car so I bought it. I've had the Prius for a few years and was pleasantly surprised by the low maintenance cost. On a negative note, the high voltage battery is $3000. The HV battery has a 100,000 mile warranty.
  3. Growing up there was Salk and Bitner's.
  4. I have a slop sing in my utility room. The faucet is equipped with a sprayer. I can spray the nasty stuff away. Wash the diapers in HOT water. Never use fabric softener or bleach.
  5. My wife scored a few days ago at Walmart. She came home with 2 packs of Charmin.
  6. A real old style cloth diaper. http://www.adultclothdiaper.com
  7. I had a bad rash post chemotherapy. I was told by my doctor to place warm wet washcloths on the affected area twice a day for a week for 30 minutes. Then after drying off I was instructed to put Miconazole Nitrate 2 percent on it. In the US it is marketed under the name of "Zeasorb".
  8. A gas over will stop working when the pilot glowbar failure. In electric ovens, the heating element goes bad.
  9. The shelves were almost empty here but my wife got a 9 pack of Charmin at Wal-Mart yesterday. If you have a septic system I wouldn't flush wipes. Then you want paper that breaks down easily when it hits the water.
  10. I like some room in mine too. I cannot stand them tight.
  11. I am so big I have my pants custom made. That bunch in BC does a wonderful job.
  12. I take a prescribed drug called "Lasix". It is a diuretic. I have issues with edema so the medication helps.
  13. Gary makes a pant made of polyurethane. It is clear and has a feel like rubber. It is a bit pricey.
  14. Having been in hospital I can tell you that the hospital supplied diapers are a joke. Bring your own and the orderlies will love you.
  15. I am a big guy and I have my overpants custom made. I like a lot of room. Gary pant 5XL fits well. I like the pants to blossom to accommodate air circulation
  16. Most of us old times will recommend pins. Velcro is problematic in the laundry and it doesn't hold together well. Typically, the diaper outlast the Velcro.
  17. Use a thicker or second diaper. If the pants are wicking, the diaper isn't doing its job. You can get no-wick pants but they are really uncomfortable. No-wick pants put the plastic right on your skin with the elastic inside the plastic.
  18. Prefer gauze here. Flannel wind up on the dryer screen too much.
  19. Probably to test for UL and CSA safety standards. I am sure it fries the port. This is done because there really are people, who will find a way to connect their USB port to an electrical outlet. The object is to be certain that the computer will not catch fire upom misuse .
  20. You want one while under extreme chemotherapy. They see it all the time.
