spoonchicken Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Black leather miniskirts, the HeadBangers Ball, and…Screaming Yellow Zonkers Being young & in my 20’s was fun too
ValentinesStuff Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Knees that worked right. Tom Baker as The Doctor. 2
Alyeskabird Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Tom Baker was one of the best doctors. For me best three was Tom Baker, John Pertwee, and Selvester McCoy. Working knees would be nice. Working back would be good too. Oddly, some of the cartoons from back then where pretty good too. Can't forget, 32 inch waist. 2
Nyte Kitsune Posted February 13 Posted February 13 What I miss from the 80's... My age. I'd say the cartoons, but many of those are available on streaming services, minus a few. Definitely miss my toys (Transformers and GI Joes) which my dad threw away when I turned 13 (I forgave him after I showed him my pricing guide as that year he bought me a NES and 8 games and a sm color TV to make up for it)
DailyDi Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I miss the fruit drinks of my childhood, that actually tasted good, and they didn't care how much sugar was in it. I mean, does anyone remember how good Hawaiian Punch used to be. Or Ecto Cooler.
Dubious Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I'm not that old.. But I would say, thick plastic diapers. Even ABDL diapers are getting thinner, and I can only get plastic ABDL diapers now cause the medical brands are going cloth-like. 2
mikejackson999 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 The freedom from being tracked, when away from the house no one could get hold of you, the cartoons, no body pains
Pampertimmy Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Plastic Pampers with that wonderful scent. Huggies were ok too…I guess.
DprDJeff Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I miss being a radical (albeit amateur) BMX racer. I really thought I was headed for the big leagues. That is until I competed in my first race and got demolished. lol
drynot Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I'd have to say my group of friends I used to hang around with. We had a lot of fun growing up together. Hiking and camping, swimming in the lakes and rivers, going to the movies.....sleep overs.... Nowadays everyone is spread to the 4 winds and all have busy lives. Back then....life seemed to have endless possibilities....and then you become an adult....and life smacks you around with reality. 3
Hookedondiapers Posted February 14 Posted February 14 I miss 80's hair. I had great headbanging hair in 1988.
LtlGary Posted February 14 Posted February 14 I was born in the early 80's, so I miss my diapers, toys and cartoons.
2sail2 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Top 40 Music and friends. Riding my bike to get a jamoca (coffee flavor) shake at Arby's. One way was a 30 minute ride. Running 6 miles on a service road that paralleled the highway -- and not really caring fast or slow I was and enjoying the hot weather.
foreverdl Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I miss the 70's stuff.... like the originals f plastic backed diapers, and Gerber plastic pants the milk white soft, and not noisy ones.. etc there's a lot more
tuffy Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Let's see, watching the price of my house go under water as the oil industry collapsed... nope. Driving on the east side of Dallas at sunset and being able to see it through the empty skyscrapers... that was kinda cool. Having my variable rate mortgage payment go down every year was really nice. I could say I miss MTV, but the commercials really got on my nerves. I guess what I miss most is VAX/VMS. Gave it up for Unix though.
kirababy Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Probably my youth! That said - it is a good thing we can still watch the movies from the 80's cuz most of them could not be made today. 1
Cute_Kitten Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Loved the headbanger's ball. Jelly shoes. As a kid those were my jam. (pun intended 🤓 ) Some of the 80s fashion (I know it has a reputation of being a bad fashion era like with the huge shoulder pads etc. But I liked some of it, like Cyndi Lauper's style etc) Crimped hair. The thick crinkly plastic backed baby diapers that swelled.
