  1. Mentioned before, but I will be going to wild nights. Its a small con that held at a state park in oklahoma. Actualy, Robbers cave state park. Its april 25 to 30 includes food, and in most cases a place to sleep. Membership is 74 at the door basicly, not totaly horrable.
  2. Oil lamps where for the folks that had money, if you where dirt floor poor you made do with tallow dips or oil candles. Your bathroom was a chair with seat busted out over a hole in the ground, or a couple planks serving the same function.
  3. Yah you gotta remember that the seller is going to do what they can to make money. With a bogo you gotta pay attention. Its also how the computer systems are set up to work it out, they discount the lowist priced item, no concern with what it is. A lot of the electronic transactions there is no person that looks at it, no one that can question it. Just a computer that looks at numbers and thats it. WHen your in person, the clerk can plug it in and make it work right. The computer does not care, it only looks at the numbers. Thus you kinda need to be carefull about how you order stuff online.
  4. Thats more or less standard. If you read the small print, in most cases they will say equil or lower priced item will be the discounted item. Else someone would go to the grocery store with that sorta sale, buy a 10 cent bit of candy, and expect to get a 50 dollar steak for free
  5. From what I remember, most people actualy drink less water than they should. I know I have this issue myself. In part, cause if I drink enough, I wake up a couple times a night to pee.
  6. Toddler. Oddly enough, a toddler is in a weird position, not quite a child, not quite a baby, but, able to slide from one to the other momant to momant. Can be fully a baby for a while, then just a suddenly being a bigger kid, and wanting bigger kid things, but not quite there, so its ok if you still need your diapers.
  7. Never seen a plumber that was not a scammer that incuraged flushing stuff. Most are very vocal against the wipes, cause they are such a hastle
  8. I should add, all of thoes companys allready have adult diaper brands that they produce as well. They have no desire to muddy the waters too much and have them overlap. Though I should note that over the years, the abdl brands have been slowly spreading into the incon market. I think folks do not like having to get outa bed and change every time they wet.
  9. I tend to do a lot of side sleeping myself, but, I also tend to toss and turn a lot, so its a bit flaky. Oddly enough, for me, I find a bit of bulk actualy helps me sleep. It is a bit of a delicate balance, as too much, and its a bother, but, with the right amount, it actualy helps me be more comfortable on the side. Never found a disposable that was too much bulk though, they are far too flexable and thin. Overnight and at home is also a good place that cloth diapers can really shine. Though for a side sleeper, I would say to avoid things like the all in ones, and all in 2s. Too many of the all in ones and all in 2 have poor side absorbancy, like many of the cheeper disposables.
  10. It would depend on what your shipping. Some diapers would ship better in a small shipping box, others the padded envelope would be best. A couple of some of the thicker diapers might need a box, just cause of the bulk. A few of the nice thin ones, would easily fit in one of thoes padded envelopes.
  11. Meh, not so much diferent from some of the ads I have seen on TV. Look up some of the old attends and depends comercials. Oh sure, they never showed the product on an actual person, but, they where rather in your face.
  12. You know what might sound weird, I have started to wear more often at night for the same reason, getting on in years myself, and its a right royal pain in the ass to wake up a couple times a night, run to the bathroom, then go back to bed. Mostly by the time I get back to bed, I am awake, and it takes me a while to get back to sleep, if I even can. With a diaper on, at most, I wake up, sit up, pee, then just lay back down. Partly I tend to sit up as it seems to help direct things to the back a bit better than just laying on my back does, and less risk of leaks out the waistband. Better sleep definatly is an important thing at my age.
  13. There has been a very slow trend to stop demonizing diapers. Hell, its becoming more and more common that kids are starting kindergarden and stuff still in diapers. Theres been a fair amount of traffic about that of late, as the teachers hate it, not there job to change diapers after all. The problem is, most of the folks that make baby diapers, are allready making adult diapers. They are the ones making depends, and attends, and the other grocery store brand crap that you see all over the place in the US.
  14. Never did understand the underwear as fasion that shows up now and again. ALso I keep wondering why people get away with that sort of crap in public. Some guy walk around in undies, and they get arrested, some woman does it, and they get away with it cause its 'fasion' How about some equality for once.
