    • Unlike many, I am not an AB or an adult kid.  I am always my real age, however there are times when I would like to go back to High School age and date some of the girls I was too shy to ask out way back then and drive my old 1967 Mustang.  Like many I wet the bed until I was about 6, then stopped.  I have almost no memory of potty training but well remember the times each night when my mom would diaper me for bed with cloth diapers and Gerber plastic pants.  On vacations, especially when we stayed with relatives who had kids my own age, I didn't want to wear diapers to bed but lost that argument.  I think things were different in the late 1950's and early 1060's in the fact that kids just wet the bed even though it wasn't talked about like it is today with all the Goodnites and Underjams.  I believe it was much more acceptable to keep a kid in night diapers for bedwetting, up to the age of 6 or 7 anyway.  Somewhere in the 1970's or 1980's psychologists decided that putting your kids in diapers for bedwetting was very bad for their self esteem and not acceptable.  Then the diaper companies like Kimberly Clark changed that perception with Goodnites (probably so they could sell their products) and having older kids wear some kind of protection at night was acceptable again, although the Goodnites were more like thick underpants than actual diapers.  Kind of a compromise.  Because back then the perception was more of, "It happens and they usually grow out of it", my parents never punished me, humiliated me or embaressed me for bedwetting and needing night diapers.  I was not treated like a baby or anything which I'm sure is why I am not an AB today but a DL instead.  Even though there were times on vacation where I didn't want diapers at night, they were just a tool for a purpose back then, like someone who needed glasses to help them see or a came to help them walk.  Diapers were a tool at night to help keep the bed dry, that's all.  I am a strong believer that any parent who punishes their child for bedwetting should be turned into CPS, jailed and in some cases have their parential rights terminated.  Unacceptable to hit a kid for something they can't help (especially when many experts say bedwetting is hereditary). Humiliation and embaressment is just as bad, especially when these idiots with an I.Q. of 45 do it in front of the child's friends.

    • Someone who is bowel incontinent working a long hard day might confuse people if he said, "Boy, am I pooped!"  Coworkers would either say, "Better go home and rest", or "Better change your diaper then!"
