  1. I'm in the same boat as "stevewet" but my incontinence spans my lifetime to one degree or another. My question is a simple one. Why? Unless you're talking about being so hopelessly addicted to the "cycle" that you are unable to function... then I would consider Professional Help. However, nothing you described is "wrong" or "Perverted" it's just different. Like every person in the world is different from every other.
  2. I wake up in the morning while I'm making my coffee. I do the grind your own bean routine and depending on so many different factors I almost always shit myself before I awake enough to realize I'm doing it. In the past I did everything I could to try and act normal and poop on the potty but in that respect I've never really been normal. I can be standing next to the toilet naked and half the time I'd be shitting down my leg or on the floor so I don't even worry about it any more. A diaper is the toilet that you wear and the fact that I've learned to enjoy the feelings associated with using a diaper without the other associations of Guilt, Shame, and Fear of Discovery have made life a lot easier to handle.

They might be okay as a backup if you're wearing a paper diaper to bed. But without the diaper what's the point? The bedding and you still get wet and it's more work than you have time for. If I wore paper diapers 24\7 I would have to spend around $85 to $90 a month...
  4. I've never found a paper diaper that was worth a shit!
  5. This seems to me a perfect opportunity to give this young man and mother a teaching and learning experience as well as the helping both of them through the transition from child to teenager. (it might also be one of the last time you
  6. The main reason I prefer cloth diapers is the odor containment. I have always had problems with shitting myself. Add in the bed wetting and diapers were a frequent constant for me while I was growing up. Remember hating the idea that I had to be diapered every night but I never said anything about that. I was, however, very vocal if, for some reason, my diaper leaked and got my bed wet. For me that was the same as being a BedWetter! and that Horrified me for reasons that I either don
  7. If you need cloth diapers on the Cheep then Good Will is the place to go. You are looking for used Soft Dish Towels. You can check out the cloth diaper section but they don't normally have Flat Diapers of any size, and you don't want prefold diapers (to hard to wash or dry)
  8. Use a Bisacodyl
  9. While I can't say that I remember them all, because I was mostly incontinent my early childhood revolved around diapers. I'm thankful that my mother was enough of a rebel that she kept me in diapers long after the 18month diaper deadline that was arbitrarily decided was the Upper Limit for diapering a child.
  10. Pin on folded cotton flats w\Gary (encased elastic) plastic pants. Some day, some where, some one will invent a Paper Diaper that works... so far though, they've all been a waste of money and ruined a lot of clothing, furniture, and bedding. I'll stick with Cotton. They never leak if you bother to learn how to fold and pin them on properly.
  11. No!!! The only thing they were any good for was LEAKING They were BY FAR the worst paper diaper I ever tried. The one and Only thing they did right was Three Tapes on each side so they fit but that was it.
  12. I am, probably, the biggest advocate of pin-on flat cloth diapers on the site. But I have to agree with you that they are a pain in the Ass at work! Then there's the ammonia odor (that forms as soon as 4 hrs after the diaper is first wet) which limits the amount of time you can wear a wet cloth diaper. I'm incontinent so paper diapers were the biggest challenge for me. I found that Depend Diapers (the ones with three tapes) worked best for me before I retired. Now if I need a paper diaper I use the Abena M4's.
  13. With cloth diapers thicker is generally more absorbent but with paper diapers it doesn't really mean anything (but might get you splinters in your butt). Then you're faced with finding a diaper that fits with enough usable capacity to suit your needs. As to "Moo" on ADISC...I was Banned a few years back for Lying?!?
  14. Hi:
  15. I rarely shop at Walmart but I have, in the past, and I sincerely doubt that anyone would care if you were walking around in "Just the Diaper"! Just google wtf walmart and that will explain how to wear a diaper Properly at Walmart. :-)
  16. Diapers DON'T Cause incontinence... PERIOD ! Incontinence is the Problem and diapers are the Cure, not the other way around. This is really about Good vs. Bad habits and that is a well researched topic with tons of research to back it up.
  17. Moderate for urine but I also have a lot of problems with bowel incontinence. When I was working full time and on a fairly regular schedule, I was able to "make do" with one of the better Pull Ups (w\leakguards) during the day. Around the house and when traveling I can't cut Any Corners so It's diapers and plastic pants full time no exceptions.
  18. For me, it's normal to wake up with a wet diaper. What gets my attention is waking up dry because that's one of the things I watch for as I tend to get dehydrated... which leads to all sorts of medical complications. Here's where the Rant begins:
  19. All paper diapers leak but, to be fair, some like the Abena M4's work okay as long as you only sleep on your back or stomach. Just remember that the "stated capacity" is never what they say because paper diapers don't Wick moisture very well. If that doesn't bother you like it bothers me you can get by with just about anything paper. If you're wearing a diaper to keep your bed dry then pin on cotton flat diapers are the only answer. Those cloth things that are made to look like a
  20. Over the years I've tried just about every Paper Diaper that's been made and I've never found one that didn't Leak, Split Open, Broken Tapes, and the list goes on. The only diapers I've tried that fit your FCC metric is a properly folded and pinned cloth diaper.
  21. I grew up in the 50s and spent most of my childhood following whatever "sure cure" bed wetting solution was the current fad. In between cures it was back to the diaper and rubber pants routine. I remember being told (over and over again) that I would Out Grow my accidents and never once was I told that I was Incontinent. Over the years I figured out ways to Stop peeing and pooping almost before I wet or messed myself so I could get by with some toilet paper or a handkerchief to keep the wet spots from showing. By the time I started Jr. High I had convinced my mother she didn't need to keep diapering me every night but if I got sick or got a case of diarrhea she always kept a box of my old diapers on the shelf. The roller coaster ride settled down when I finally got an Incontinence Diagnosis in my 40s and I went back to diapers full time. Diapers are more convenient than the previous ways I was managing my incontinence and my stress levels dropped so fast that even I noticed it. It makes me wonder why people have such an Aversion to Diapers that even when circumstances make them the obvious solution they'll opt for major surgeries...
