I don't think the issue was the shared interest in DL. Shared interests are the basis of relationships. I think it's that you got too serious too fast. Save diapers/sex until marriage, or at least until you're really comfortable with being with the person long term. Communication is key. Explore each other mentally before physically. Form a real bond first.

They are different, yes. However, the nature of hair follicles may make it appear that hair is regrowing when it's not the case. At any given time, only a fraction of folicles are producing hair. They grow it, it can fall out, then they lie dormant for a time before regrowing again. What your friends are likely seeing is new growth from formerly dormant folicles, not regrowth of treated folicles. I think it takes a year or two of regular treatment to treat them all.

It's strange but not unheard of. I know of someone who did that. She was not forced. She was codependent and liked being controlled, but I hear she was not told how to vote. She likely saw it as submission to her husband. He passed away from cancer years ago now. She has recovered somewhat since then. She votes how she likes.

What kind of arrangement do you envision that being? That you'll literally be treated as a 2 year old all the time? Diapers, strollers, high chairs, the whole bit? Zero responsibility and expectation? All expenses paid?
