In Italy, both the parents and Emily would be arrested, accused of subjecting a fully mentally capable adult to medical treatment without his consent, as well as kidnapping and probably sexual abuse (diaper changes could be considered as such). By the way, not so in America, but in Italy parents cannot kick a child out of the house even if he is over 18, if he has no income and housing, to survive until he is 30 (obviously he must prove that he is studying or looking for a job). In Italy, however, 21 years of age does not exist, at 18 years old you are an adult according to everything, you can drink alcohol, etc.. -
Whilst we don’t have consumer AT&T internet down here we CAN (if we are lucky) get a fibre internet feed. Shortly after moving up into our new house, I got the place upgraded to a direct fibre connection (as opposed to the old copper-based VDSL feed that used to slow down when it rained). Whilst the wifi getting better is less likely to be related to fibre than it is freshened up wifi hardware or location, the underlying stability and bandwidth of the fibre connection vs copper is outstanding. Even the old HFC (cable internet) network, whilst better than VDSL/ADSL is still constrained by shared bandwidth for the coppery bits along with all the rust and rot problems you’d expect from hanging wires in the sky for a few decades. Fibre rocks. -

Anybody have any problem ordering these from Amazon? I’ve tried it before and it’s almost a week before I cancel because they won’t take the money off. I’m gonna try it again tonight. We’ll see what happens.
