  1. See? You've got all the angles covered! All you have to now do is to write it.
  2. Feel free to use it! I'm sure neither InkyHume nor TainCadioch will deny you permission to use Em-Em and Eckhart if you ask nicely. Now, if you could write it in 2nd person from the point of view of Chase Morgan, you're on to a winner here!
  3. What I meant was that while Littles 15 to 25 would be irresistibly cute, ages 26-35 tolerably so, ages 36-45 only so to semi-blind Amazons and anything above 45 being plainly ridiculous. So how long would a little be kept captive, given that Amazons do age as well? And what happens to Littles too old to be cute or to those whose careers grow too old? Of course there will be many freed Littles who have been "brought up" by Amazons! And just for those eugenetic reasons as well as inherent amazonian decency of the kind that makes them adopt Littles in the first place, such Freed Littles would be set up in conditions much better than the average non-adopted Little could ever aspire at as well as encouraged to marry and breed more cute Littles for Amazons to adopt. There probably even would be matings if not downright deliberate breeding done by/with captive Littles, especially those who have been permanently regressed - "Aww Agnes, aren't our babies just too cute for words making out in the bathtub like they do!"
  4. You make good sense but there could be a way: As the life of free Littles are hard, they have few children, one or two at most. Captured Littles do not stay cute and babylike from age 16 or whichever age they are taken into custody by Amazons. They age and at some point, they will be freed. If such Littles, the ones genetically predisposed to being cute and pretty, were sponsored and encouraged by Amazon society, they would tend to have more than one or two children. If that's the way it works, then the ugly ones would be the ones bred out.
  5. If Elfking's advice seems a little daring to start with, just wear them about the house! After a few days, you will no longer notice and suddenly you'll realise that you're half-way to the shop still wearing them. If by "wearing" you mean "using them for the purpose(-s) they were designed for", that too will come. Just beware! Once you do get used to wearing them, not doing so at, say, a family event might require a conscious effort not to do what has become second nature - which would be even more embarrassing.
  6. Oh no, not at all! I don't suppose you remember Mr Futterman in Gremlins? I just wanted to make sure you didn't mean it his way!
  7. Some great answers here! It is good to see that, if you will excuse my phrasing it this way, something was kept pure (nudge, nudge) in the colonies and not in the Old Country. Somehow, we assume it's always the other way around.
  8. I like that! "Daily Diapers & Nightly Nappies", it would be a great name or a title for a film (movie to our American cousins ) or book.
  9. Honestly, isn't there something pathetic about our word "nappy"? When you wear a nappy, I suppose you are "nappied" and the process of being put in one would be called "nappying"?!? Compare that with diaper, diapered and diapering. Much better!
  10. When they got home, they had to stay downstairs and use the changing mat to change little Tain's nappy as Tain's room was being changed into a nursery cum playroom. Mina put the mat on the table in the front room and laid Tain on it while Mather Zinaya, once more Dr Bagramian, laid out Tain's bespoke onesie, socks and romper conveniently. As Mina cleaned him with a wet-wipe, Tain's little winkle stiffened. "Hello there, Mr Winkie! Did we come out just to say hi or de we want to make a little contribution to our conversation?" She grabbed a few tissues in her left hand and held it on Tain's tummy, just in case, as she finished cleaning, taking special care with Mr Winkie and his little sac. "Oh we like that do we!" She smiled broadly at baby Tain.
  11. "Mama is here, baby! Oh, you're such a pretty little boy, aren't you! Shhh... Mummy is here to take you home". Mina held the little boy to her and swept her cloak over him to protect him from the cold. She kissed his head and soothed him as they began the walk home. Mina's heart was singing, he was such a little darling! 'Raven! I will watch over him and no harm shall befall him!', she projected her thought towards the raven.
  12. After giving Tain a late-night feed, the boy or young man had fallen asleep again, emotional exhaustion finally catching up with him as he relaxed. Thus he did not notice that Mina got up and changed her clothes, nor did he notice the others that came back with her. In his dreams - surely something as bizarre as this had to be a dream, right? - Nurse Coddlington was there to remove both catheter and anal plug. In their place, a thick diaper was put on him before Nurse Coddlington left, without saying a word. Then Tain felt himself being lifted up to be carried by Mina. Somehow, he felt lighter, smaller. But also, it felt so right that she was carrying him that he only opened his eyes a slit to sort of see the others following them in a line down the stairs. His head was resting on her shoulder and Mina would stroke and part his hair, occasionally planting a soft kiss on his head. To Mina, he seemed to be very relaxed, very comfortable and very sleepy as she followed Dr Bagramian down the path that led to the glade beneath ancient acorn, deep in the forest. She knew the path they walked. She knew that it was not only a physical path into the heart of the forest but also a path steeped in magic, one that led her and Tain towards their destiny, inexorably. The last-quarter moon could be seen through the branches and would reach the zenith of its path across the sky, at the exact moment of dawn, when Venus too would shine. Mather Zinaya was leading them down the path, her torch held aloft for them to silently follow. The deeper they forged, the greater her strength and the power of them all. As they had entered the forest, she had been but a vague presence in Mina's awareness but here, at the heart of the forest, her thoughts were clear as a voice speaking in her head, speaking to them all as they too had the power to do at the heart of the forest. "Soeur Hermione, you know it is necessary." "Mather, surely we have the power to withstand him, a mere mortal without the Gift?" "Ma Soeur, you forget that his power and anger comes from another. There are no walls that can hold Him forever and He will seek to accomplish what at the last moment the flesh of the possessed could not bring himself to do that time. The Sacrifice of Pain is not complete." She let the force of her thoughts settle. "Only through the power and sacrifice of the mother was this little one spared. She broke his hold over the unfortunate long enough to save Tain, but He will return. He must never find Tain and that is why the Changes are necessary. You know it in your soul, ma Soeur." Mina bowed her head in unwilling acceptance. Yes, even when transformed, his heterochroma would be recognisable to the possessed one as the flesh of the possessed one. It had to be. Mather Zinaya stepped up to them and laid her hand on Tains head. "Dream on little one. You are safe with us and will be safe with us. This is only a dream between night and dawn." In her mind she called up the Power to effect the first change. Had Tain been able to look at himself in a mirror, he would have seen his eyes changing in colour, the one to violet blue, the other sapphire blue. At Mather Zinaya's call, the others gathered round them and placed the heart hand over Mather Zinaya's, resting lightly on Tain's head, the other on Mina's head to lend Mather their strength to forge the bond and effect the Change. Mather Zinaya gathered the Power and as moon reached zenith at the moment of dawn, the spell took hold. The years were rolled back, one by one and Tain shrunk and as he did, his bond to Mina grew stronger, his fears and doubts and memories disappearing, to be locked away safely where they no longer could access him. Then, right at the end, Mather Zinaya spoke directly to the mind of Tain: "You know why this is necessary, why Tain must become Tanya to hide from Him and His possessed one. I cannot force it. You must accept it, but if you don't, you will always be in danger of being found dear child. Will you remain Tain at peril or Tanya safe?"
  13. Some really excellent replies here, thank you! Even if there is a lot more to be said yet about this part or aspect of the question of research, I'd like to throw a different log on the fire to take it in a slightly different direction. Please read this BBC story and give me your thoughts on it! http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20160112-what-i-learned-when-i-lived-as-david-bowie
  14. I "Like this" but perhaps it's too simplified to be readily understandable? As for King, there is no doubting his success and talent as a story-teller of the first rank! But his invented cultural setting "Smallville, USA" plus overly graphic and garish monsters take little creative talent and he definitely cannot be compared with any of Tolkien, Lewis, Pratchett, Heinlein, Asimov, Pournelle, Niven, Atwood, Verne, Hugo, Shelley, Fitzgerald or Dickens to name but a few. I think you may confuse "huge commercial success" with "being a great author", but they are not commensurate! To use a music analogy, it's like saying Dylan is a greater singer than Andrea Bocelli or that Bacharach is as great a composer as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart or Wagner. Or to use actors - all of Wayne, Eastwood (with a few outstanding exceptions), Hoffman, Roberts, Cruise or Hanks do are play themselves, always easily recognisable. Just one film, Dr Strangelove, proves that as an actor Peter Sellers was streets in front. I guess it is a clash of cultures and that to an American, success is the proof of ability and the greater the commercial success, the greater the artistic ability? Europeans in general and Brits in particular make distinction between the two.
