What's your preferred high-activity diaper?

Many of us here have to be acknowledged as diaper experts; we love them, and/or, we spend some, a lot, or all of our time in them, and have been doing so for years. We can slice and dice their attributes and failings any number of ways, but most often, I tend to see them ranked by:

• Absorbency/Capacity - sheer payload capability 
• Reliability - this can be different than capacity - some high capacity diapers will soak up an aquarium, but can exhibit press-out leaks way before they're "full"
• Value for the dollar - maximum capacity/reliability for the buck
• Aesthetics - cuteness, femininity, accurately portraying your preferred diaper era - appearances

However, I suspect that our demographics skew younger than those of the average adult medical diaper buyer; sure, the ads depict a couple at the basecamp of Everest, preparing for their ascent while wearing Tena "briefs" they bought at Walmart, but the reality is that the majority of those products are being consumed by people sitting, reclining, or palliating, for most of their days. SO, my question is, what are your favourite diapers for active living - hiking, jogging, skiing, biking, pickle ball, golf, softball, taking the dog for a long walk, exploring a city, etc?

My personal favorite is Rearz Active Air.  It is thin yet fairly absorbent (It won't compare to something like a Northshore Megamax or Sunkiss Masterpiece or a Rearz high capacity diaper) but for me it is abosrbent for a thiner cloth backed diaper.  It's my favorite go-to day diaper when I would prefer discretion or I don't need a high-capacity plastic backed diaper. 

My other favorite is North Shore Go Supreme pullups. In my experience they're about as absorbent as the Active Air. I have not compared them, I have not tested them or seen what diaper can hold the most in tests and capacity etc. I'm only judging by my own usage and only speaking about my own experience. Both the Active Air diapers and the Go Supreme pullups have served me well. They fit my body well, they are both very comfortable, and I have never leaked in either the diapers or the pullups despite multiple wettings. I've gotten max of 4-5 hours out of each of them during various activities. I've worn them shopping, ice skating (nothing fancy lol just regular skating at a public park), walking in the park, at an amusement park, walking all over the zoo (in those two cases I did have to change my diaper since those were long days. I wanted thinner diapers for discretion + ease of movement vs a crinkly and bulky higher capacity diaper)

This,  At my age with needing knee replacement and other joint issues I'm not as active as I was in my 20's or 30's.  Going about my day running a few errands when I have to doesn't put stress on my diapers.  Betterdry is my go to all day diaper when out of town running errands or Christmas shopping.  3 years ago I took a vacation trip to Wisconsin Dells for about 4 to 5 days and wore all the time.  Walking the trails at the boat stops in 85 degree humid weather did put a strain on all my diapers.  Mega Max had a lining failure and when I got to my motel room to change, diaper padding fell out all over the floor.  That also happened with a Betterdry but not as bad.  Activity, hot and humid weather and wet diapers can put a strain on any diaper.

Well I'm not particularly active at the moment, thanks to the cattle that trampled me in July.  But normally anything up to about a 5 mile walk I just wear my normal terry washables, with extra washable inserts.  Folded in a Chinese fold, pinned with a Snappi and 2 3-inch nappy pins.  It's only on longer walks that I take things a bit more seriously & aim to minimise chafing and nappy disintegration.  Usually that means a Tena Maxi pullup with an extra disposable insert, and careful management of my fluid intake over the day.  These pullups don't usually fall to pieces over a day's hiking, unlike some tabbed nappies I've tried, and they are very comfortable over long distances. I always carry a change of course, but usually don't need it.  They are no protection against cows though...

The high capacity diapers I use as my overnight diaper is the Megamax in the colder months and the Seni Quatro in the warmer months.

Anything cloth backed is ideal for when I'm being active or generally doing grown up stuff while still needing a diaper (either physically or emotionally). The abus ones are my favorite cuz they hold a lot and those tabs hold snuggly, kings and gatorz

Yeah I bought these on a lark, basically, because I liked their appearance - they remind me of Pampers Cruisers from the mid-2000's. However I was surprised to note that they're not just a novelty product, they're a pretty good diaper. I find them expensive for regular use - they're about $5 a diaper up here in Canada - but if you can get your hands on them for less, or if your budget allows, I could see them being a good diaper for an active "baby" to wear.

When it comes to an active diaper for a active baby like me, I like little Kings and super dry kids and Dino rawrs. They're really good diapers and add to that baby feel. Also when I was 6 years old and in school I remember wearing a '90s vintage style diaper with teddy bears on it. So the super dry kids are just like that, which make them my favorite cuz it reminds me of when I was a baby.

I'm not a super active person,  but when I do go out diapered,  I'll usually wear a Crinklz Astronaut.  They start out fairly thin and, despite their name, they're fairly quiet under my clothes.  I've went to the grocery store in them,  walks around the block,  deer hunting and I've cut the grass in my Crinklz diaper.

For me, It’s any of the Rearz high capacity diapers. It doesn’t really matter too me if that are printed or not. Any thick diaper is cute and meant for a baby like me.

@Little Sherri I am a delivery driver for a pizza joint.  and I am very active when I am working.  On Friday nights it can be really busy.  And by the time the dinner rush sets in I could be really soaked as peeing in them for hours at end can get messy.

Though most shifts I can last my go to diaper though is Mega Max as I do not trust any other diaper for the work I do.

And the main reason I wear those is that I may have not a liquid mess but a messy mess.  And they can hold up to the mess I may put out.

I also wear plastic pants over my diaper as I found that if I do not there will definitely be a leak of some sort.  Messy or liquid kind so I wear plastic pants.

When out an avout for the day, my go to active diaper was Dry 24/7 until they closed then I switched to Betterdry and Rearz Day Dreamer. At home, I am usually in cloth diapers and plastic pants

That has happened to me on several occasions , in fact that was the reason , went to all cloth pin on diapers with up to 3 soakers , and adult training pants from rearz , and I was amazed how well them training pants , kept a huge load in them , yeah they were dirty from front to back , but them plastic pants kept 99.% of the mess contained, and if I was out side I would just , pull the one leg band of the plastic pants , down just a little and empty the brown liquid out on the ground , and yes my messy training pants were just , a brown color , but they still felt great 😊. But I called north shore, on more than a few occasions, and posted my complaints , but they are from China , so you can’t make a silk purse , outta a sows ear !

Tena slip maxi plastic backed is my day time diaper. i do all my activity's in it. the plastic holds up great tape tabs no issue and its not to thick to move around in.

I would have to say my go to diaper is my mega max diapers.   They help keep me dry while at work.

See whenever I was looking for the best pull-up or diaper for gym workout, outdoor labor, or any other physical labor, so i tried the Abena M4. Amd let me tell you, it was not great for high physical labor.

So here my idea for a highly physical labor diaper.

1.  Durable structure with stitching the padding to keep the padding in place when wet 

2. Breathable cloth and tough plastic backing hybrid to prevent sweating, skin sticking to the plastic, while still being strong. 

3. More absorbency to keep up with hydration due to instance drinking from work. 

4. Addional strong elastic band from the front, between the leg, and back to prevent sagging and more hugging 

5. Stronger tape that's reapplyable and possibly 6 tapes instead of 4

Try the InControl line by Rearz. They have great absorbancy although they have 4 tapes they work well

People told me that bodysuit onesie (ideally like a black decreet tanktop one).is great for keeping the diaper in place during physical labor activities, for cover up, and reduce the wear, tear, and sagging.

I have about a dozen of these. I haven't been to the gym a lot lately, but I was teaching martial arts classes a few years ago, and wearing a onesie was cheap insurance that my diaper wasn't going to end up on display in front of the class!
