Diapers are sometimes useful

I was stuck on a chairlift today for 3 hours.  I was glad that I was diapered, although I didn't actually use it while I was stuck.  It was hard to pee while sitting, and I was so cold.

They can be very useful at times. I am diapered 24/7 lately due to bladder and bowel incontinence and I find that I never have to stop what I am doing to take a bathroom break. I just go in my diaper when the need arises. Half of the time, I don't know I am about to pee myself until it starts flowing out on its own. As far as messing goes, I do get the urge, but can rarely make it to the bathroom before I have an accident. Diapers are definitely a requirement for me to lead a normal life.

Same here I have to wear nappies.

There really are!  Sometimes it's just good to know they're there.  I often wear nappies on a long car journey just because I'm worried about needing the loo and not being able to stop.  I don't always end up using the nappy, but I just feel I can relax so much more knowing that I have one on.

Although, I guess for many of us, we always feel more relaxed wearing a diaper!

I'm pretty much diapered full time now and there have been times, more and more often, that I really need them. I've been stuck in traffic a number of times and If I wasn't diapered, well, there would have been a mess. Yes, diapers are useful.

The only issue I have with wearing diapers lately is that my bladder control is significantly diminished when I am diapered.  I'm sure its purely psychological but I feel that I wet more frequently and get the urge to wet more intensely.  Not that it matters if I'm wearing a high quality brand but it does happen....

On the upside I suppose is that I can pretty well wet in any position now.  Sitting, standing, walking and so on....

Me too! I always find myself hardly able to control my bladder when I'm wearing diapers. I like this though. It's as though somehow my body knows that wearing nappies is the right thing for me, and it knows what to do when I am!

Diapers are useful thanks captain obvious?

Of course diapers are very useful I don't think I could live and be functioning member of society without diapers before I started wearing diapers to bed at night and to work sometimes it has drastically reduced my stress and irritability levels down to where I can actually interact with people without getting irritated about the smallest little things in life and my girlfriend says I am an entirely different person when I'm in diapers I am a lot calmer and considerably more refined I am a somewhat intimidating alpha male when I'm an adult but the second I'm in a diaper I turn into jelly which ballences me out

I usually have weak control while diapered.  It doesn't take much to start to flood, and I pee in short spurts, but I normally know before the leak starts.

In this particular case, I don't believe that I leaked while I was stuck.  Fortunately, I was at worried about needing to pee, which I would have been had I not worn a diaper.   But I don't normally pee while in a sitting position and have to do a reverse kegel to start the flow.  I was too cold and numb to worry about it- and never needed to pee.  My seatmate did, and many others.  I'm pretty sure there other skiers who needed to change when they got off the lift, and I heard others 'yellowed' the snow.  But that's hard to do suspended 20 feet up in the air.

I agree with the shared sentiment that diapers are always useful.  I've pretty much gone 24/7, with slight exceptions, for the last 3 years.  Since then, there are situations where a diaper benefits are blatantly obvious.  Not just events like movies, but events where the bathrooms are not available (stuck on a chairlift for 3 hours), or inefficient.  I was at a festival and the lines for the bathrooms were ridiculously long (30 minutes).  No worries on my end.   The other I find to be a huge comfort is airplanes.   I get my window seat, and don't have to for the whole flight.

About 30 years ago I was in a Phar More drug store in South Bend and I sneezed really hard.  Doing that caused me to accidentally poop myself a little.  I was very shocked and surprised but I was so glad I was wearing a diaper at the time.  About 7 years ago I was in Atlantic City with a friend and we had just had pizza at the food court in one of the casinos.  I had some cramping, passed a little gas, had an accident and was not wearing a diaper.  When I first felt the drops of liquid poo I rushed for the nearest men's room.  Fortunately, it didn't mess my underpants much and what very little was there I was able to clean up with some toilet paper.  Somehow food court pizza has that effect on me.

Wearing diapers all the time now really has helped me at work.  Often times before I decided to wear diapers permanently I would play the potty marathon with both OAB and anal leakage issues.  Now you rarely ever find me taking a potty break.

This is so beneficial in my job because you need to concentrate as to what you are doing always.  For instance now I am installing a 200 ton machine.  I do not know how it would ever get installed if I was not diapered.  Now I no longer have to worry abouy the bathroom and can concentrate on my job better.

The other day at work one of my coworkers mentioned that she hadn’t been able to get to the toilet and she was busting as we had been really busy lucky for me I didn’t need to worry about needing a bathroom break.

Yes, they are useful.... and at the age of 60, they are becoming more and more useful. ?

There are not a lot of "great things" about aging, excepting for maybe senior discounts and over 55 housing communities with no loud children.

However, the wearing of diapers and our love of being in diapers, takes on a whole new element as you age.

No one even blinks when they see a grey-haired man with the telltale outline of a thick diaper under his pants.  And the best part is that as you age, you have more and more friends your age in diapers, and everyone understands what a blessing diapers are. ?

Did you say to her "Luckily, I don't have that problem"? ;)

Yes....

I have literally shit myself from severe IBS flare up in public without diapers/pullups before and was truly horrible. And got shouted/sworn at in the person's car as well. I always hold it and get extreme cramping/spasms,sweating and near fainting. Worse thing with IBS is the sudden urge to poop. Sometimes more than one time after going.

Car journeys + no protection + severe IBS is the worst thing ever! Lucky not messed up mum's new car seats or she would probably never let me in her car again and charge me the cleaning costs. I usually refuse to leave the house all day,if I had a bad IBS flare up in the morning.

Also been diagnosed with SIBO in march, so hopefully once treated maybe my IBS will be gone.

BOTH eating the wrong foods AND severe anxiety causes me flare ups. I eat a low fodmap diet currently. And dairy, gluten, onions, garlic being my worst triggers will pass out and be in total 10/10 pain agony if I eat them for days.
