Hi I do not really feel the need to go, before this i used to make sure I tried regularly, like when you get potty trying kids to try, just in case. but now the first thing I know is the feeling of it starting to come out - I can hold it a little bit, but unless very close to a toilet, I end up following through - sort of resolved to the fact this is what is happening to me, like when I gradually list control of my pee

I have been a bedwetter to some of extent all my life. Came back really frequently at 40 and have worn for bed since then. Also stated to have daytime accidents so wear 24/7. Have had lots of medical intervention with little success. Was told that eventually I could loose bowel control, but until recently thought I had missed that bullet, as only messy accidents were if I had very loose bowels when the difference between farts and pooing got a bit blurred. However last few week I have had quite a few messy nappies - still feel the need to go, but not much time now between getting feeling and it coming out - I try to hold it in, but can not hold on and I mess my nappy. So far this week all my bowel movements have ended up in my diaper. While it is not at all unpleasant, it is a bit of a shock to be using my diaper with no or very little control, already had no control of my pee. I knew it would eventually happen, but still a bit of a shock to be messing myself like baby.

Just squat a little bit like did growing up - always feels naughty pooing in my underpants or nappies - certainly got into trouble when I did it growing up - parents were ok with wetting as I was often caught short, but parents thought I should hold my poo and use the toilet

Single bed with plastic mattress protector and little kid style bedding. A set of drawers containing diapers, wipes etc and little boy style clothes and pj’s A diaper bin (useful to put diapers in, but also produces that stale pee smell that all bed wetter rooms have) curtains and lamp shade also little boy style soft toys and lots of Lego Recently got a side to go in the bed that stops toddlers falling out of bed

If I need to go I also squat like a toddler, also tend to hide behind furniture- still kind of naughty doing it - growing up peeing myself because I could not hold it was sort of ok - but if I pooed myself, then I got into big trouble

Just filled mine walking home from the shops like a little toddler - now sat in my mess

Growing up my brother and I had charts - supposed to help, but did not really - for wet beds and wet pants

You just get used to it - used to wear for bedwetting growing up - a bit like coming home again - nice to know that I can pee without my pants getting wet

Thank you for your answers - I have talked with my urologist and like has been said he was not surprised. Only occasionally at present when bowel movements loose, however need to accept that it will eventually become the norm. I adjusted to wearing fir wetting, so will just have to get on with it

I have been urinary incontinent for many years now and wear diapers 24/7. Apart from some loose bowel accidents I have always had control of my bowels. In recent months however I have started to have messy accidents. Most of the time I pass wind that is all it is, but now sometimes I follow through and end up messing myself. has anyone else experienced this happening. I have had lots of u successful medical interventions and was told this may happen, but still a bit of a shock when it starts to happen. Still use the toilet for most bowel movements, but accidents are becoming more frequent. I did have accidents in my pants frequently growing up, and it is like I am reverting back again.

When I wear underwear I wear boy style pants - I can fit into M&S 16 year old boys pants and some have quite a young design - being small down below, they fit really well as there is no pouch to put your junk in like adults pants - just a flat panel for a little boy sized package

AK, so use sippy cup, but sometimes have a bottle at night

Not a crib - but as an AK I have a single bed - with plastic sheets and waterproof quilt / always little boy style bedding and pj’s bed is a kids bed - not a cot , but has sides on three sides and a portable side to stop me falling out - like when I was 8

I used to have accidents all the time - even at secondary school a few times - once on a trip while caving and I peed myself inside my wetsuit and once on a bus coming home - often ended up getting home with wet pants as I didn’t like to go at school

I think there are many more kids, especially boys wearing nappies and pull ups at a a much later age than they used to. Perhaps not all the time, but on days out and travelling and in bed. Bedwetting for kids under five is now considered normal and like the post said kids are wearing and wetting much longer. Stigma about bedwetting is still there, but it is normalised now and judging by the socks of bigger nappies in supermarkets - lots of kids are wearing
