  1. The government doesn't regulate it so I'm guessing it's a right. Probably a first amendment issue but what do I know. Never been to law school. As long as we don't have to pay a fee to the local or state or federal people I think we're good.
  2. I think that would be worth a trip to the doctor. May not be serious but I wouldn't take the chance.
  3. Zero, nada, zip, or just none. First of all I'd be too afraid of their reaction and secondly I know my family and living around them after would be very uncomfortable. IF it ever came to be that I contracted a medical reason that I HAD to wear then it would be totally different. However. just telling them I wear diapers for enjoyment and comfort is not an option.
  4. Well for starters I love the feel of a wet diaper even though with the new disposables you can hardly tell. Second thing is I'm cheap at heart I guess. I wan to make full use of the diaper or I feel like I'm wasting it. As I sit in a chair, usually surfing on the computer, I am constantly checking as it swells to soak up the pee. I wear plastic pants over it and always have the slight leak that tells me it's getting close. Once I feel the front and back are good and wet that's when I change.

    Freedom!!!

@deacon I was totally at ease today. When I ran my errand I was diapered wearing blue jeans and a long t-shirt. I'm sure no one noticed at Best Buy what I was wearing for underwear. Being discrete when I'm out and about diapered is my number one goal. No sense doing anything that would bring attention to myself.

    Freedom!!!

After I ran an errand this morning I came back home and tore my clothes off. Been sitting here ever since in just a diaper and plastic pants. It's warm out today so the curtains are shut so I can walk about with no reservations. Oh what a feeling!
  7. When I'm not diapered my brain does the holding for me unconsciously. Due to that and wearing diapers a lot the feeling of a full bladder comes on quickly. I don't want to hold it because I want my bladder to shrink making wetting easier. Hopefully anyway. So I have to remember to go to the bathroom more often than my brain tells me so I can avoid a full bladder. I have to say I don't get stressed because I hold it without knowing.
  8. Just wanted to tell you how cute your profile pic or avatar or whatever it's called is. Now that's a mama!

Thank you! I drew it myself actually for my boyfriend/little boy :)

  9. Well, I'm reluctant to post this because it's not my idea but we're going on a cruise sometime in July. I absolutely hate going through TSA at the airport besides the fact that we're stopping off in NYC for 2 days before the cruise. The only reason I decided to go was that we're going with my daughter and son-in-law and he is very experienced with most of the airports in the U. S. so he knows how to get where we need to go. The wife retired in 2017 and claimed this was her retirement splurge. After her almost coming to tears I agreed. We plan on doing the tourist thing in NYC and then go on a 10 day cruise to the Caribbean. If that's where St. Martin and Bermuda are anyway. Barring hurricanes and any other natural disasters we'll be ok. Before anyone asks, no I won't be diapered.

Such a lovely little baby girl.
  11. I probably shouldn't reply to this thread as I am not incon. However, I do wear disposables out of the house. The last thing I want is a little leak to turn into a wet spot on the outside of my pants. I would guess no one who wears diapers outside of their home would want their diaper to leak a small amount and have it show to the rest of the world. There are those who wouldn't care if they were seen with an obvious leak but the vast majority, in my lowly opinion, would not. Plastic pants are a way to avoid an embarrassing leak.
  12. I'm just a dl myself and don't to wear a diaper to bed every night. When I did start wearing one it took some getting used to. It was probably by the third or fourth night that it didn't feel any different than wearing regular underwear. Normally I keep track of my nights in a diaper but I honestly can't remember the last time I didn't wear one to bed. I'm sure something will interrupt my streak, as it always does. After a few nights you should be fine.
  13. I agree with everyone that says tell her before you get married. Been married 47 years and have regretted not telling mine ever since. I have to give her credit, she tried her best to accept it but in the last 15 years it's been a struggle to keep the marriage together. If there's an abdl out there who was able to give it up I'd really like to meet them and see how they did it.
  14. I mentioned this earlier. I was living in a town of approx. 1600 people. Everyone knows your business but maybe not you secrets. Some of my relatives serve on the ambulance crew. More than likely they aren't going to see my diaper under my clothes or need to take my pants down. However, the thought of it is certainly not a pleasant one.
  15. @Author_Alex I did call my family physician and they asked me a few questions. Told me I should have it checked out so when the wife got home we went to the ER. Everything was normal except for that damn lump I still have on the top of my head. That was quite the day. Three of us from a little town of 1600 slipped and fell on the ice. One almost died. I'd like to thank you all for sharing your stories. Always wondered if it happened to anyone else.
  16. I probably should have noted that it was mainly for those of us who aren't incontinent. For all of you who wear 24/7 I'm sure it wouldn't be a big deal. Even for us who aren't 24/7 it might not be a big deal until like you said the nurse leaves a couple of diapers laying next to your bed. Then the family shows up! That would definitely be cringe worthy.
  17. I had the same problem because of being a side sleeper. A booster in the middle helped a little but like you the sides didn't absorb quickly enough. So now I put a booster on each side, making sure it comes up high enough in the front, and even though my penis is smaller than average it seems to work for me. You just have to make sure the diaper stays snug around the waist.
  18. To start this off I was wearing my overnight diaper and plastic pants. So just recently I was reminded of some bad weather we had when I was still living in Illinois. We had freezing rain overnight and I had forgotten to take out the garbage the night before. For some reason I woke up knowing I needed to hurry and get it to the curb. I put on my usual diaper wearing clothes, those swishy nylon pants that make a lot of noise and an over sized shirt. I went out through the garage under the roof overhang and grabbed the garbage can that was on wheels. Then I totally forgot about the freezing conditions and started to pull the garbage can onto the driveway but NOT underneath the roof overhang. As soon as my foot hit the driveway I fell backwards onto it and unbelievably my head hit first. I thought for sure when I put my hand behind my head it would be full of blood but for some unknown reason all I had was a huge lump on my head. I kind of shook it off and carefully got up. Gingerly I rolled the can out to the curb and went back inside the house. To say I was relieved I didn't have to lay on the driveway waiting for an ambulance to take me to the hospital in a diaper would be a huge understatement .Any other abdl's have anything like this happen to them?
  19. I have answered the door earlier in the morning than when I normally get up. Putting on my robe as I walked to the door and making sure it was covering everything. Luckily it was just some mail the postman couldn't put in our mailbox and they just handed it to me. It did get the heart rate up a bit though knowing I was wearing a wet diaper and plastic pants with only my robe covering me.
  20. That reminds me of the phrase "Getting older sucks but it beats the alternative". It seems about every 5 or 10 years from my 20's on up I've had to deal with some sort of ailment. Started feeling the effects of arthritis at about 30. Then came the skin problems. At about 38 I broke an ankle that took 5 months to heal.At about 50 I was diagnosed with acid reflux. Not to mention the monthly trips to the chiro since I was 16 .Found out when I was 57 and taking back therapy that I had a bad knee. I've had both hips replaced because of the arthritis and in the last couple of years I've been introduced to good old Mr. Gout. I'd heard about it from the guys I worked with but never knew it hurt that bad. Made me want my arthritis back. LOL. It's all in your genes and there isn't much you can do about it except stay as active as you can. Live life to its fullest!
  21. That will be on the New York Times best seller list next week! That's hilarious.
  22. I used up a sample pack that I had gotten last week. They are a very good diaper with good wicking which helped in getting almost all of the diaper wet. There were no leaks and I probably could have went longer. I had a lot of coffee and water to drink and not sure of the total amount but it was a lot. For me it comes down to what the diaper will hold and how much it costs among other things. The tapes were the best I've ever seen on a diaper and I was pleased with the whole diaper getting used. However, at $2 per diaper plus shipping it's just too expensive. My other problem with it was the size medium barely fit me and I'd have to get the large. Same goes with the regular Northshore diapers they sent with them. Their sizing is a bit off. I'll stick with Confi-Dry 24/7. For me they hold just as much but can't compete with the MegaMax tapes. They are closely matched but to keep costs down I will stick to the Confi-Dry.
  23. I'm sure it felt like reuniting with a long lost friend. :)
  24. The best way to wear a diaper out in public is to act as if you're wearing just plain old underwear. When I first started wearing outside the house I was paranoid someone would notice even though I had on jeans that were a size bigger than normal. That was many years ago and now when I do it it's no big deal. Of course I don't wear skin hugging clothes when I do it but just use common sense . None of my jeans fit tightly so I could probably wear any of them and no one would notice. If you don't make a big deal of it no one else will either. So don't worry about a bulge and you'll be fine.
