  1. I was doing my usual web search for papers related to diaper wearing and incontinence and found this recent research thesis. A bit long...but a good read, with interesting historical references and some interesting pictures. You'll have to down load the full pdf for all the information and pictures. https://scholarworks.rit.edu/theses/8523/ Let me know what you think.
  2. Northshore has always been good to me. On a order a couple of months ago, they sent me a sample underpad that fit the entire bed.... That was great, because I leaked.....and without the pad would have messed up a relatives bed when visiting for another relatives wedding. THAT would have taken a lot of unpleasant explanation.
  3. I had a prostate infection one time, felt the same way....I mean the having to hold knees together and rock back and forth fear of instant streams venting from my loins. Problem was, I had a business visitor in town and we, including my wife, were scheduled to go to dinner. My wife, who knows of my interests and does not approve, and knew of my prostate predicament, for the only time said, "why don't you just wear one of your diapers?" I was stunned...but it was an idea. I changed into what I though was the best (ie quiet and absorbent) solution. Problem was, it sounded like I was wearing garbage bags and sandpaper to me. I asked my wife and she said, "what does it matter if it solves the problem". In the end, I didn't wear anything, turns out that even though I had the feeling....I did not leak or wet....just felt like I had to. It was a LONG...and pretty miserable dinner....and the problem was, the guy was not only a business contact, he was also a good personal friend. Things cleared up after a course of antibiotics.....but I will never forget that feeling.
  4. I always wear plastic pants over disposable....I find the plastic of LeakMaster Heavy duty plastic pants to feel better than the thin plastic of disposables. At home I'll often wear clear Euroflex polyurethane pants over disposables. They are virtually indestructible, feel like rubber, and...for home.... are very noisy.
  5. I was on a plane flight the other day. There was a couple in the row opposite of mine with a very active baby. At one point, the mother notices an odor, does the "pull the back of the pants away and look", wrinkles nose and knows it's time for a change. The husband fusses in bag as she's standing up with baby. She turned away from me towards him and accepted what I thought would be clean disposable diaper. Low and behold, when she turned to move to the lavatories at the back of the plane, she was holding a nicely quilted cloth diaper...and a milky white pair of plastic pants. She said something in a foreign language to the man and went to the back. In a few minutes she returned with smiling baby and what looked like a "wet pouch" which she handed to the husband and he put into their diaper bag. At that point, the baby only had a shirt on and you could clearly see the very puffy plastic pants and diaper. The mother gave the baby a bottle and it drifted right off. Glad to see customs are different for some folks.
  6. I have vivid memories, traceable by distinct events during those periods, of wearing rubber pants when I was 2 and a half. They definitely were Playtex Rubber Pants, beige in color in a tube. I was out of diapers by then, but had several pairs. I very distinctly remember when one pair broke, I was trying to put it on like a tshirt..duh. My mom was going shopping and asked if I'd like a toy....I said no thanks, but asked for another pair of rubber pants.....she looked at me funny, but that's what I got when she got home. My next door neighbor and best friend, exact same age by 1 week, still slept in a crib with full diapers and rubber pants. He had older sisters that would dress him at night, I was so jealous....
  7. JKPPP was a great company. Lot's of fantastic rubber products.
  8. Give the MegaMax a try.... very good as well, maybe slightly more absorbant
  9. Hi, I'd like to post a few surveys on the Survey Thread page....how does one design them?
  10. Thanks for the response. I guess that that is actually very good news......the record breaking part. My mind is still not in that space where I can commit. So maybe next year. Do you know of any CONs in Europe?
  11. Last night I finally broke down and contacted the host of an ABDL channel for the city I live in. I mentioned that was interested in joining the on line group but was very concerned about attending any of the local munches they hold. Being "outed" would not go well for me and from some of the pictures posted on members personal profiles, I was pretty sure I am familiar with a few of them. The host was very understanding, got me in the group and also gave me access to a special chat dialog channel they have previously set up. I joined the group and immediately folks introduced themselves, shared interests, confirmed that they respected my privacy and made me feel very welcome. The chat is active apparently all day and I had to silence the alert because there were so many and my wife (how knows of my interest and does not approve) kept asking about it. I've already been invited to several private parties and the Sept munch they plan. I seriously doubt I will be able to convince myself to go....too much potential for issues. But the whole concept of how friendly and understanding others with our interests are was very heartening .....and exciting. If you are working as an ambassador for ABDLism, ...keep of the good work ....there are still so many of us that "understand" our interests...but still are not totally accepting of ourselves. I've also been encouraged to go to either CAPCON or TeddyCON..... don't know if going to those would be easier since they are far away from my home territory. But even thinking about it is exciting.
  12. I used to travel to Europe quite often on business. In one of the towns I was in I passed a store that had the word Suprima in the window. Being unfamiliar with the actual language of the country I wasn't sure what it meant so I stopped to look in the window. I guess it was there equivalent of a hospital supply store and the Suprima did indeed mean the plastic pants folks. I went in the door, saw the display of plastic pants (Suprima makes great plastic pants) and also saw all the sales folks just milling around. I was only one of three customers and both of the others were older ladies. It seemed like everything stopped when I entered, and I swear everyone turned to look at me. I knew I would not be able to hold a conversation without it becoming very embarrassing...and I panicked....said something about wrong store...and walked out an shaking legs. I would purposely pass that shop after closing hours and gaze in the window. I could see the display but never got the courage to go in again during the day. Went back two years later on business, determined to buy some plastic pants and shop had totally changed to clothing store. Worse part was, I had ordered Suprima pants from www.b4ns.com and now knew how great they were.....
  13. My local grocery (a well know national brand) used to have two "baby isles" that were placed right before the checkout lines. It was my habit to casually cruise down one of those lanes on my way to check out. They were placed such that it seemed perfectly normal for folks to take that path. I tend not to go to those isles in other stores since I'm a bit old to be buying things for babies and I know most all stores now have camera's in all the isles to track travel and consumer interest. Well the one lane I always chose had the benefit of having baby clothes including toddler training pants and ONE package of Gerber plastic pants which never seemed to sell. On the bottom shelf were about 10 packages of Curity Cloth diapers....both just the normal Birdseye cloth diapers and cloth diapers with "sewn in polymer stuffers" for more absorbancy. I love using cloth diapers for stuffers in the disposables I wear, so I always eyed the packages thinking I'd find a way to buy one. Alas, I could never get up the courage to buy them. Then one day.....the isle was completely changed and the plastic pants, training pants, and packs of diapers were gone. Made sense I guess since I never saw a package out of place in the 1.5 years I've been going there. Que two weeks ago when I finally went with wife and girls to in-laws to do some home repair projects beyond my father in law abilities. Had a chance to go to same brand store there to pick up golden liquid reward for jobs well done. Low and behold.....same set up as my "old" store....with bags of new cloth diapers still in place. Unfortunately no way I could buy them as car was packed with travel stuff for the four of us and I could not hide them. It really kills me that I couldn't get them.... I guess the lesson is, go for it while can.
  14. I was in a voice chat with an acquaintance today. She happened to mention "diapers and plastic pants".... It's amazing the impact just a few words can have.....it was an immediate turn on..... I mentioned it to her....and she playfully repeated it a few times....each time...a shot of excitement went through me. The same kind of thing happens when I hear commercials for adult diapers or hear the words (among other ABDL words) mentioned in videos. I even get that excited feeling when I read those words as well, not as much as hearing it...but still.
  15. I was potty trained early...my mom wanted to get back to work. But at 4 I started wetting the bed again. Turns out...after a lot of research and discussions. and three wet years, that the probable cause was airway blockage causing Sleep Apnea, not that they knew what that was then. I was simply not getting enough sleep and so when I first fell asleep at night (which is when i wet) I was down so solidly that I did not wake to the cues your bladder normally gives you. I had some nasolarynx surgery and the bedwetting quickly went away. By that time of course, my pathway in life seemed to be set.
  16. Wow, so you are actually a member of Daily Diapers.  Incredible.

  17. I usually wear two pair. First is a polyurethane (not the fabric coated type) because of their tear resistance and rubbery feel. Over those I wear Gary 7mil heavy duty encased elastic plastic pants. No noise at all. I've found on multiple occasions that if I leak through the polyurethane leg seals it stays contained in the Gary pants. On occasion, I've put a baby diaper soaker between the two plastic pants and on those occasions, have never leaked even when sitting in chairs.
  18. Sitting here now with same thoughts. I was able to wear for 4 days....towards the end it was....do I really want to do this..or go out for beer or be with friends..... Now, three days later I have an opportunity to wear again and it's like....Ehhh...nah....let's go do stuff . I very much like Roslie's storm versus strong wind analogy.
  19. Do they have a way to order on line..... Always happy to support these kinds of places.
  20. So Cruiser.....I'm assuming that you recommend the company and the rubber pants....
  21. How do you order on line from these folks?
  22. Thanks Christine I figured you'd know. So where would you recommend I buy the rubber pants from? And with Baby Kins.....any issues with packages coming in with customs declarations or things that need signing? They have great stuff....but something like that would be an issue.
