  1. This, so much. It's better to over research than to under research. Any research you don't end up putting in the story specifically still helps you the writer to understand your subject better and that will come across in the writing. Whenever I'm writing a subject I'm unfamiliar with- something as simple as surfing or as complex as another culture such as Japan- I research. The bigger the role the subject plays in the story, the more research I do. It helps you get little things like vernacular and professional jargon, etc right. Those little details might not seem like much, but they add up to create an overall picture/ build the world and develop the character. In other words, it's the little details readers might not notice, but it's what helps immerse them in the story.
  2. It's generally best to ask the author if they minded. One example is the Diaper Dimension by Princess Pottypants, and she's given her blessing for writers to use her world. Another case I know of is someone wrote a sequel to another writer's original story and universe without asking, and that original writer, when they found out, really was not happy about it- I believe the story ended up getting taken down (it's been a hot minute, I don't fully remember). Now, if the author of the series you want to write fanfiction of is not around or has not been active for a very long time (I'm talking at least several years) and there's no way to get in contact with them, then I'd assume it would be okay to go ahead and write. If this turns out to be the case, I recommend putting an author's note saying you tried to contact the original writer but were unable to do so. Also, give credit! "My story is inspired by/ based off of/ set in X universe by Y author", or something along those lines. Just give the original creator credit where credit is due for created worlds, characters, etc.
  3. New story The Rainbow's End is up on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0863CRYPQ

  4. Instead of staying hope, people in my area have just been congregating in grocery stores/ stores that sell food like Target and Super Walmart and small convenience stores. A few non-food stores are still open- they're the die-hard hold outs who will only close once the local government/ police forcibly shut them down.
  5. I'm home for 2 days this week since work has been so slow, boss let me use up some of my sick days. At least it isn't coming out of my saved up vacation time.
  6. No extra free time here- I still have to report to work (despite work being extra slooooow). I've been bringing my school text book to work so I can get some extra study time. In my area, all stores except grocery stores (and any other stores like Super Walmarts that carry groceries + other items) are closed. So when I wanna go to the store....Super Walmart it is.
  7. I've noticed groceries are also getting picked clean. No meats- not even the very expensive cuts of fancy beef- but for some reason there was plenty of sausage left. A lot of shelves were picked clean. All I wanted was some cookies for St. Paddy's day tomorrow. ?
  8. For any medications, you would need to talk to your doctor about that. You could always try natural diuretics like dandelion tea, or a natural bowel stimulant like prune juice. Seeing a dietician might also help. Does your psychologist offer over the phone/ or video-chat services (or ask them if they would due to the cornona virus)?
  9. Stores where I'm at have been rationing the amounts of TP people can buy. I had to go get some pet food this morning and the local Target only allowed one package of TP/ papertowels per customer.
  10. I didn't have the pleasure of attending and meeting everyone face to face, but knowing the writers on the panel, I'm sure it was a powerhouse combination. Would you gaiz consider doing a write up/ summary of your experience? Did you, as presenters, have a favorite part of your panel? Any favorite or challenging questions from the audience? Would you do it again next year? And, the most important question that I'm sure has been burning in everyones' brains, do you like green eggs and ham? How about with a side of spam, green ham in a can?
  11. I haven't heard of any. A google search yielded some cute homemade diaper covers though.
  12. If it wasn't a filter, I wonder how the airline would even be aware of this site. I mean, out side of ABDL circles (or curious people who google ABDL), I think the vast majority of the vanilla world are unaware of its existence. Now it's making me wonder if an incident happened...and, if an incident did happen, what was it? Because curiosity. ?
  13. I've had tapes that rip off the wings on cloth-like disposable diapers before. One solution I've found is to staple the tapes at their base before I put the diaper on; it helps reinforce their attachment to the diaper wings. It sounds like the Bunny Hops- while cute- might be more of a 'for play only' or 'worn for a short time' type of diaper.
  14. Going to a store and buying diapers is mostly a mind game. Those minimum-wage workers truly don't get paid enough to care. They and any customers who see you will just assume you're buying for an aged or disabled relative. Other customers are too wrapped up in their own affairs to care much what another customer does/ what's in another customer's cart. If you're worried about someone you know recognizing you, you can always drive to a pharmacy/ medical supply store a little further from home. Though I do hope you're feeling better by now.
  15. I can see something like that selling very well at an ABDL convention.
  16. I do like cloth backed plastic diapers for noise discretion. I'm going to have to try the gary active wear diaper cover, that sounds like an excellent combination.
  17. an ABDL-themed bed and breakfast. That would be fun!
  18. Not sure. My guess is an ABU Simple diaper with a filter on the photo that gives the diaper a blue tint? ?
  19. Brudda, thank you for sharing that personal story. I think your message can't be said enough, especially since it's something you've dealt with personally- others who are in the same boat you once were can read your story and find hope/ encouragement to seek mental health care. Some of the regulars might hear you say that a lot, but for a newbie to the board it would be their first time hearing it- and it might be just the thing they need to hear! ?
  20. It sucks when bad reviews happen. Sometimes people just don't like a story because of personal taste, no matter how well it's written. For products, I'll read bad reviews and good reviews. I take bad reviews with a grain of salt- sometimes the poster sounds like they know what they're talking about (like they can clearly state the problem they had with the product. Such as "shirt was sized too small/ shirt runs small" etc and sometimes if it's a defective product they'll include pictures. Other times, the reviewer unintentionally reveals their own stupidity, and I discount their opinion. For fiction books, I read the "sneak peek/ peek inside" preview on Amazon. Sometimes a bad review is just out of personal taste, other times a bad review can be spot on. Don't let a bad review or two get you down! It happens to even the best of authors.
  21. To bed, I wear an ABU, a Rearz, or a Dry 24/7. During the day, I usually wear a North Shore Supreme Lite in colors, unless I'm going to be out and about for an extended period of time. Then I'll wear a thicker diaper like a 24/7.
  22. No cookies, not fair! ? There have been times in my past where I couldn't afford a copay on a prescription- actually had to borrow money for it, and that was with health insurance. I've seen a lot of commercials on TV for a website called Good RX which is supposed to help find discounts/ coupons for medications. I haven't tried it myself, so I can't say anything about it, but just thought I'd mention it! Has anyone tried it?
