While it isn't exactly a Christmas piece, Charles Dickens does mention it in A Christmas Carol.  My favorite for this year is Sir Roger de Coverley, an English country dance tune.

Basically anything from Psychostick or Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s holiday catalog. This one’s a bit more in tune with how I view the holiday season.

This song me and my husband used to sing to each other, and now me and my wife sing it to each other.. I brings back very precious memories. Love you all !

One of my favorites, an odd one by the Pogues, "Fairy tale of New York"  Don't know why, maybe the Irish type tune and instruments....always liked it though..

But, my all time favorite, classic version of little drummer boy, a song about giving of ones self...always makes me cry....just a pretty tune.??

 

I also have a soft spot for "Silver Bells"..

I have many favorites.    I spent yesterday going through several song books playing carols from things like the Huron Christmas Song and Jeanette Isabella to things like Have a Holly Jolly Christmas.

My absolute least favorite is Dominick the Christmas Donkey.   If I don't hear that during the season, I'm happy.

The current song stuck in my head (and at the top levels of the British Pop charts) is Boris Johnson is a Fucking Cunt.

There’s so many I like, from lots of different types of music. But, there’s one I like, maybe not my all time favorite, but it stands out for me, and lots of people don’t like the song. Christmas Wrappings, by the Waitresses. It tells a cute story, and it’s fun!

I like a lot of Christmas music, mostly songs and records I remember being played when I was a kid.  There is a lot to be said for the newer Christmas songs but I think most people will have a soft spot for the music that was played in their homes when they were growing up.  I'm more of a traditional "Jingle Bells, White Christmas, The First Noel, Deck The Halls" Christmas music lover than the new stuff that has come out in the past 10 or 15 years.
