  1. As y'all probably know, I gave up on ConfiDry as they went to quality hell. I don't know if it's been corrected as my tolerance for junk is low. The daily driver is now Better Dry; it works very well and is it works out, is cheaper than ConfiDry and way less expensive than Megamax. I do like Crinklz and InControl Hybrid Elites (a lot) despite a higher price. InControl has notified me to a "new" cloth diaper fastener, so I bought a couple pairs. No expectation that I'll like them or they'll be any better than a Snappi style fastener (of which I am not a fan).
  2. I rest my case. Thank you. I am a plastic pants dude.
  3. @DiaperboyEddie12 -- personally, I like PVC much better than PUL. I have a couple of pairs of Trifecta's that I'll wear out occasionally in public; but prefer PVC. It just don't feel right if it's not PVC. PVC is much cheaper -- especially if you can get it on sale (like from InControl Ideal). It seems PVC also contains odors better, but it can get pretty brittle pretty fast. Good luck as you journey!!!
  4. Screw that fair share crap. Get rid of the IRS and replace them with a dirty diaper. It won't stink nearly as bad. Shrink the government to a smaller, more responsive and responsible body or get rid of them altogether. You're always better off when there's less of it.
  5. I have only tried them when included as samples which means very limited experience. The first one I tried leaked -- don't know if was just me, but after that I tended to not trust them. Had a terrible time prying off the tabs -- they stuck like hell. The jury still's out on them. Better Dry is my daily and I enhance them occasionaly with Crinklz and InControl Elites ( which I really like(,
  6. Atta boy Eddie!!! Probably more useless advice: Prices on Better Dry from XP Medical are probably the best priced on the web. When you order by the case, shipping is free and their autoship actually works well. In the end, they're significantly less than Megamax. Good luck!!!
  7. Well, I tried InControl Hybrid Elites for the first time yesterday after deciding to open the case and try one. I was not disappointed. Hook and loop has come a long way baby. They were not rough; much more pleasant to use. Didn't trust them at first, but found the hook/loop worked pretty well. Didn't have to adjust them and really filled them up with pee in a fairly short time. Really wet day. Yes, Virginia, they worked great and I really like them. Thanks for the disposal instructions as I was a little lost on how to roll it up. Hippo Sacks are great for that. Got an email ad from them today. They've added more diapers to a bag (can't remember how many) thus making the case slightly larger. They also claim lower pricing which comes to about $2+ per diaper. It seems to be a better deal and I plan to buy more in the future. The mainstay remains Better Dry.
  8. Welcome to the club. It only gets worse from here. Diapers really help and make things easier and more comfortable. Can't manage without them.
  9. Does InControl Elite fit into that category? I have an unopened case and haven't tried them yet. Guess I should. Good excuse to open and try them?
  10. Those are pretty nice and well made. Also, Changing Times (CTCD) also has a couple of them. I think they're made by ABU (Adult Baby Universe) which is another soure.
  11. You've got to be kidding. The IRS is a blood sucking parasite that has and is out of control. They need to be de funded, not supported. What the heck are you taking? Are you an IRS agent? If so, get away from me....
  12. I know the diaper pin blues all too well. My visual impairment makes it very hard to use pins without jabbing myself, so I get shy around them. Snappi's work OK, but they're just "not right". When my children were infants/toddlers a hundred years ago, they were swaddled in cloth and we used diaper clips we got from Babies R Us. Of course, I can't find anything like them; not even close. They were great as the were placed over the top of the diaper and then pushed down (snapped) thus securing the diaper. Way better than pins. I wished they could make a come back. If it weren't for the pins, I'd do much more cloth than I do now. You should reinvent those clips that worked so well.
  13. Yeah... I was able to fit into Pattycakes, Gerbers and maybe one other that I can't remember. Oh, the good old days!!! Though now I'm swimming in plastic -- even with economic and supplier contraction there are still a few different plastic pants suppliers around. Still don't like China at all.
  14. Am I in a time machine going back? Shades of reckoning!!! Yes, I was a member of the Wet Set and found plastics on X rated sites. Also DPF on early internets. Before that, there was VIP and the hand-drawn trusty Comco. And one has to remember early Babykins too! I hated the Salk products, and the early Depends with the "button elastics" really stunk. What a vast difference today compared to back then!!! How did we ever survive?
  15. Don't be too proud to accept help. Take it when and wherever you can -- especially if it's from your spouse. Thank her for it and be grateful.
  16. Welcome to the world of Conglomo. Yes, it's real -- companies keep getting sucked up until there is no more competition. They sell their products to whomever will relabel and resell them giving an appearance of competition when there isn't really any. Some of the resellers buy more product and get a bigger discount thus offering a small discount to its buyers. The robber-barrens are back!!!
  17. First, you must learn to trust your diaper. If you need help, get some kind of bed pad. Second, if laying on you back, make sure Mr. Happy is pointing down between your legs. The middle and bottom bulk should catch it all. Third, if on your stomach, lift slightly off the bed to give it room to flow. Most of the time, the top and middle portions of the diaper should catch the flow. Once you know the diaper will hold, you'll be in a much better place. You may get to the point like me where you don't care anymore. The pad works great.
  18. I found that process to be extremely laborious and hard to do. So, being lazy, went with GoDaddy for the domain and using CPanel to handle the email. One Google account is used because the phone requires a gmail account. Otherwise I'd throw out gmail and any other (outlook.com) and bunches of others that aren't worth a pile of spit. I leaned early on that you could only count on yourself.
  19. Hope my Roku don't do that. WPA? Why on earth would you EVER use that? It's terrible! Why wouldn't you use something with AES-256? Just asking...
  20. Been 24/7 IC for over 20 years (probably closer to 25. Bingo on the plastics -- they chop down woodies like you can't believe (eyes crazed and tongue hanging out).
  21. Same winter warning storm here! You must be nearby somewhere. Comfy in my Crinklz Aquanaut.
  22. Rubber pants to the rescue!!! Betchya that'll work...
  23. Quality control seems to be lacking in many brands, which leads me to ask if all diapers are made by a handful of manufacturers. Dry 24/7 got so bad that my supplier quit carrying them. Better Dry and by extension, Crinklz have had their tab issues. I've had a couple clump and fall apart on the floor. We'll see how the InControl works. So, today I ordered a case of InControl Elites, but didn't think of quantity until after I ordered. I'm thinking there is 40 in a case (other than 60 or 72). Hopefully, it's more than 10, per bag but I'm not holding my breath. They don't tell you the number in a bag/case.
  24. I'm always late to the party and to this topic. Why would this even be a question?
