Several years back I had to wear a catheter intermittently to correct a urine retention problem also, scar tissue was blocking my urethra. I went through three years of dilation treatments and the insertion of a catheter for 10 days at a time. What I learned was you must drink lots of water, plain ole H2o. Cranberry juice from what I understand helps your kidneys function more. You want to void as much as you can when you are cathed, voiding is what rids the buggies from the body. And you must wash your penis & meatus (head) thoroughly & often. I used to plug the end of the catheter and manually release the urine hourly then hook up to a catch bag for night. Many times I would drip into a diaper but again you need to ensure that you dilute the urine with water to cut down the risk of a UTI while dripping into a diaper. As the urine lays in the diaper bacteria grows and can work its way up the open end of the catheter or as it comes in contact with the meatus. Remember the hose is contaminated outside the penis and collects buggies as it moves about inside the diaper or after voiding from the hose if plugged. The hose also irritates the pee hole too ... very common problems. I was prescribed Levaquin (a synthetic antibiotic) for this procedure too. In review drink lots of water, and wash hands before and after fussing with the catheter and clean the genital area thoroughly as well as the exposed hose & plug. On a personal note I miss my catheter and dilation treatments

DEPENDECO DIAPERS ROCK! my baby girl and a special little boy of mine wear them all the time. I change their diapers regularly and the are sturdy. The velcro tabs hold, no pins needed. I concur with DailyDi's comment.

Normally I wear Tranquility Premium OverNight pull-ups during the day but I also enjoy on occasion to wear Tranquility "AllThroughTheNight" diapers and put an Abri San pad in as a booster. I recently got Dry 24/7 diapers, I really like them!

I am a Daddy and I wear diapers also (as a DL). I never ask my bABy to change me, I feel as long as I maintain the TOP mindset wearing diapers shouldn't interfere in who is Daddy and who is bABy.

after stumbling onto this thread I decided to share something that I never ever spoke about before. When I was about 14 an older boy (prolly 16) who was a very popular person in my circles but he also tended to be a bully peed on me. As it went I was sitting leaning against a baseball backstop minding my own business as I watched the older kids play baseball I suddenly feel a strong warm stream of liquid hitting my back. I jumped up and turned around to the laughs & jeers of that bully peeing on me and to all the other boys laughing at me. I was totally humiliated and felt so violated but because of who did it and with all the embarrassment I felt I repressed that moment until now. Weirdly, me and that bully became very good friends in my adult life and in fact we worked together in a very dangerous career field. I do not harbor any ill feelings about that moment as I sit typing and in fact I think it may be part of my infatuation to the whole pee/watersport thing that I would love to participate in with one of my special ppl. I have never confronted that person about that moment, HMMM I wonder what he would say??? I'll prolly just let sleeping dogs lay. One day hopefully with a willing partner I can enjoy that warm feeling again...

I like TRANQUILITY "All Through The Night" diapers, they have good volume content yet are on the thin side in bulk and they make a nice crinkle. I wear them often. I also love the Tranquility "Premium OverNight" pull-up, they are worn regularly by myself as well.

YES! I agree, the Tranquility "Premium OverNight" pull-ups are tops! I wear them mostly everyday. Not only are they a nice thickness and hold alot (vs other p-u) , they maintain their shape, they are a very sturdily made pull-up.
