  1. Woke up very wet this morning, as I've done for 11 out of the last 12 days. What I can't figure out is how I could have jumped from an average of two times a week to this so quickly.
  2. Well, I originally thought my "aha!" moment was after trying on one of my brother's cloth diapers at ten, until I remembered an incident which took place a year or so earlier. A neighbor lady made an offhand remark to me that she'd been hospitalized as a child and had to wear a diaper temporarily--and I found myself instantly jealous without knowing why, I still don't know why, but I do know I'd been surrounded by diapers of various kinds from birth until my youngest brother was trained (I was about twelve then). The more I saw them, the more curious I became about how they felt. How that intense curiosity developed into a fetish is a mystery to me, though.
  3. Simple answer? I don't. I've come to accept leaks as inevitable, so I try to minimize the damage. First, I use cloth diapers rather than disposable. On my bed, I have two or three Chux pads on top of a cloth diaper lying on top of my bottom sheet--unless I wet very heavily, that works most of the time. I do have problems with my PUL pants weeping liquid a bit, however, and making the top sheet wet by contact.
  4. I suppose it depends on what's important to you. If you want a diaper that's durable, I've found birdseye to be the best for that. If you want softness and a material that "breathes", IMO gauze and twill are ideal. As to the style of diaper,
  5. Spanish and some German, at least in written form. I have difficulty understanding the spoken form of either language. Spanish speakers tend to run their words together and even omit whole syllables (Cubans and Puerto Ricans especially). It's frustrating, because I'd love to be able to watch the telenovelas on Univision, but trying to follow them is just hopeless.
  6. I had that problem myself (as mentioned in a different thread) but it seems to have cleared up on its own.
  7. The only family member I ever told was my mother--the rest of the family has enough trouble accepting that I'm transgender, let alone ABDL. As to the media portrayals of our community, I can't recall any article, documentary or talk show that didn't look at us from a "aren't those people weird?" point of view. Some are better than others (Riley Kilo, the subject of the "My Strange Addiction" segment on adult babies,
  8. Just curious--how much does liposuction cost on average?
  9. I'm already a bedwetter (I've awakened wet six days in the past week), so I'd have to say emptying small amounts every ten minutes. One, my pathetically inadequate med-supply diapers might be better able to handle the flow (and therefore, leak less). Two, I'd feel more justified in calling myself "incontinent"--there's always that nagging question in the back of my mind: "Am I really incontinent, or just convinced myself I am so I could wear diapers?"
  10. I guess I'm the only one here who likes the classic stuff--namely, Bullwinkle, The Flintstones, the old theatrical Warner Bros. cartoons, and so on. Aside from Animaniacs, (definitely with you on that one, WakkoWannaBe), I don't watch many of the cartoons made in the last twenty years.
  11. I wish I could--my pacifier falling out of my mouth at night has been an ongoing source of frustration for as long as I've been using them. It doesn't help that I'm a side-sleeper--sleeping on my back might help keep it in, but my spinal curvature makes it difficult to sleep in that position, to say the least.
  12. I'm having difficulty accessing this site with Google Chrome. While using Chrome I can neither reply nor post (the part that says "Drag Files Here" is still there, but there's no text field that I can type in). EDIT--Disregard. It appears to be working now.
  13. I chose the first option, but it's only a guess, since no one has ever bothered to ask me why I use them. Not salesclerks, and certainly not the general public, assuming they notice at all. I assume they figure I'm incontinent because so many folks in wheelchairs are. EDIT: It seems I misread what the poll said. What would I LIKE them to think? Well, I suppose at worst that I'm incontinent, but really, I'd rather they just not bring the subject up at all.
  14. To Dirty Diaper/Maxipad Lover--yes, there was a similar discussion (to put it mildly) about Adrian Surley on ADISC about six years ago, in a thread about good diaper sites. Google "Adrian Surley fake" and it'll be one of the first hits that comes up. I didn't bother to read their arguments, since it doesn't really matter to me who she is. Her blog is an invaluable resource for the ABDL community, and typically generates some good discussions which have never, to my knowledge, degenerated into flame wars. As to online ID, I suppose I'm either a model of transparency or incredibly stupid--I'll leave it to you to decide which. The name I use here
  15. I don't know what to believe in regard to Angela. In an online forum like this, we do take it on faith that the people we associate with are who they say they are. On the other hand, I suppose if one wanted to, a person could piece together convincing-sounding evidence questioning my authenticity as well,
  16. If a transwoman can weigh in here, I'd have to say no also. Not that I'd object to playing mommy to another ABDL once in a while, but I'd prefer to be the little in the relationship.
  17. Since I still lived with my parents when I was in college, I unfortunately couldn't risk wearing diapers back then, but if I'd had my way, I definitely would have worn during tests. I can't tell you how many times the urge to go would hit me mid-exam--it seemed to increase in proportion to the importance of the test.
