Dubious
The main problem is that the legal age to drive a car is 16 in many states Scooter not good enough? Link to comment
DavidMW
It varies widely across states. Link to comment
Zander
I've driven a lot in Norway (Oppland and Hedmark, mostly). Link to comment

redneck diaper boy
I for one have paid some seat belt fines. The way cars are constructed today, its a wonder that more people are not killed. Link to comment
Zander
I am against seat belt laws but think it would be cool for the insurance companies to 1 Link to comment

Dubious
Helmet not mandatory must be only in the states as everyone else, that I know off, have mandatory and you get fined if you don't use Some even have mandatory for scooters and such that travel at "running speed" Link to comment
rusty pins
I have always remembered this Dragnet episode where Joe Friday is telling a newspaper reporter what happens in the first second of a head on collision. 1 Link to comment
Codyboy
Put on your damn seatbelt... I work enough wrecks where people are killed, but could have been saved by simply clicking it in. Not wearing a seatbelt is illegal for a reason, and I'm getting tired of having to do death notifications for extremely preventable deaths... So true. Link to comment
Codyboy
Another thing I never thought was cute, is when people drive with their tiny little yappy lap dogs on their laps, on the dashboard or leaning on the doors of their cars while they drive. 1 Link to comment
Codyboy
Speaking of helmets, I am an avid inline skater and always wear a helmet and full wrist, elbow and knee pads Link to comment

Codyboy
I'd laugh at you too If you know what you're doing you only need a helmet and some gloves All the stuff you are wearing is for trainees/babies Not with all the idiots on the streets, this is for inline skating on roads with cars, and here there is alot of sand, potholes and streets in disrepair. Just this past year there have been multiple people hit by cars and killed just walking along the sides of the roads. Link to comment

packrat
Perhaps Darwin is right on one point. Stop wearing seat belts, stop wearing helmets; Evolution of the species might benefit. Link to comment
