I came here to explore my diaper fetish... then I found out that Im a DL by definition, so in the first case I vote DL. The second question, well, I like diapers for comfort (it gives me pretty much pleasure to be in one as long as possible), and plus its fun I think :) no sex play unfortunatelly :(

I came originally because I'd begun being attracted to diapers. I liked dressing in diapers, onesie, etc with paci and bottle, but I hesitate to say full aby because I still don't like baby talk or even particularly acting like a baby (can you be an aby w/o any of the roleplay???)

I've developed into more of a DL, wearing to work almost everyday, but not having enough opportunity at home to do the onesie, etc...

Sexual arousal is very common when I get my diapers on, but I've come just to love the feeling of wearing them, the convenience and feel of wetting them, and yes, once in a while...messing - but in limited situations (and not at work!).

Oh, what a lovely poll- I can vote for more than one option!!!

I came here because I'm a DL and I wanted some social interaction with others like me ;) After surfing and lurking for about a year I decided that the site and the people here are the best. No other free ABDL website comes close as far as I'm concerned :)

I love the comfort, security, and fun of cloth diapers B) though I use disposables too. I wanted to go back to being a bedwetter after many usually dry years of having to get up 1-5 times a night to pee :P and never getting enough rest because of that  So I guess the biggest "why" would be that I don't like a wet bed- but I  a wet diaper :P:D

I am incontinent and need to be diapered day and night, protected by rubber pants and panty girdle to held diapers in place. As it is for long years I wear diapers, I cannot imagine to live without and finaly I becam an incontinent diaper lover.

What brings me here?

I come here for a number of reasons. I am an AB/DL which I believe sprung from my being a bed wetter all of my life. I just like to know how other like minded folks deal with and incorporate their fetishes, desires and/or incontinence issues into their lives. If I make a friend or two along the way. That's an even better bonus :)

Why diapers?

I wore diapers to bed until I was 9 or 10 for bed wetting. I had somewhat of a dry period for the next 10 or so years. I knew I liked diapers when I was around 5 or 6 though and always fooled around with diapers during that time because I still wet the bed 2 or 3 times a year. As an adult, my bed wetting becoming more regular again. I chose diapers opposed to the medications I tried to manage it.

I am incontinent due to an early childhood accident. Why do I like diapers - that was the hardest question for the longest time for me to answer - and to date, I still don't know - maybe cause it gives me a sense of security, maybe a sense of warmth, or maybe a sense of childhood that I and probably most here miss and want to relive - in reality, I probably will never know, so I don't bother trying to answer the why - I like it, it is not hurting anyone else, so I wear - and if I wasn't incontinent, would I still wear - at times to be completely honest, the hassle can be a bit much, but for what I gain from them - I would have to say a big resounding yes all the time. This may also be a reason why I am also an adult baby, an unkie to a select few and a daddy to one or two people too. I am and probably always be a child at heart.

I don't like the actual term 'adult baby' since it tries to typecast people who cant be typecast.

I am an a chronological adult. I am not a baby since I know what I am doing.

1- I am constantly learning - does that class me as a baby?

2- I wear and use diapers 24/7/365 uncontrollable - does that class me as a baby?

3- I sleep with a plushie (Theodore - see picture) and always have done - does that class me as a baby?

I'd answer NO, since I am responsible enough to know that...

1 - In my line of work, without keeping up to-date, I would be unemployed and therefore financially unable to support myself or others.

2 - I need diapers due to my incontinence, where a baby can't associate comfort with requirements.

3- I want that comfort of cuddling with a plushie, and doing so enhances my sleep. That is another decision a mature mind is needed to make.

Am I a baby - or is that a call an uneducated person would make?

Typecasts or stereotypes are inherently wrong. They are used by the the ignorant - ignorant of the facts and too lazy or stupid to self learn.

I started out wanting to explore my fetish side, but ultimately I enjoy delving into the experiences of other DLs and developing some sense of a community.

I am here because I'm an AB/DL and I love this lifestyle, and because I am a bi ab/dl, I have trouble identifying with a lot of the people I meet face to face, so it's nice to come here and connect with people that I can see eye-to-eye with! And also because I love sharing my writing!

B)

I listed DL, but on rare occasions also have the tiniest bit of AB in me, I also chose other, because when I wear I get a sense of well being that I generally lack. I get peace of mind, and I don't get that from anything else in this world of ours (what's left of it anyway).

As for the next category I say that I wear for comfort and fun, and since I wet the bed I should also list that they are there for practicle reasons (when I'm sleeping that is).

Rock on,

Vic ;)

ok i'm sorry but ............... seriously?

not sure what you were getting at here.. but reading this post seems to me as if u are implying that people who consider themselves adult babies somehow are not employable, intelligent, mature people...

i mean calling someone a dl or ab is not a stereotype, a stereotype would be saying all ab's are uneducated unemployable people...

or that people who have stereotypes are to lazy or stupid to learn

saying all dl's like diapers cause thye get off masturbating in them, or all ab's are just fat girls who want someone to take care of them.

those are stereotypes... but the actual label 'ab' or 'dl' is in no way a stereotype.

I totally agree with Sarah. Adult babies doesn't at all mean people aren't employable, intelligent or mature. Thats silly. Adult baby is purely a term to describe the fetish/lifestyle you lead, you wear diapers and like to be little doesn't mean you ARE a baby so of course you are responsible enough to know these things.

AB/DL is not a stereotype.

I am NOT, nor never would state, specify or imply that "people who make their own choice in relation to their actions are stupid, unemployable or otherwise". I will state, without any reservation, that it is the foolish that follow the pack blindly.

What I did mean by the statement "In my line of work, without keeping up to-date, I would be unemployed and therefore financially unable to support myself or others." that an actual baby does not know, nor care about work or responsibilities.

...

or that people who have stereotypes are to lazy or stupid to learn

...

YES. It is, in my opinion, one of the reasons for the bad press in relation to this interest. Humans can NOT be classified, Inanimate objects can.

...

but the actual label 'ab' or 'dl' is in no way a stereotype.

...

The 'labeling' of a 'ab' and 'dl' ARE stereotypes in the fact that they are labels that refer to typical set of trait and/or behavior. Labels, are classifications, and HUMANS and their actions are unique and therefore CANNOT be classified.

The world is made up of different totally unique people, each with their own mind, choices and actions. Humans, therefore, cannot be classified as they are NOT objects.

Simple example - the more I read your posts, the more I learn about you. Even if I spent every day of my live living with you, I could never fully know you. The simple reason is that you, similar to everyone in the world, are unique. Note, I did not use the word 'same' since you are NOT the same as any other person ever living or dead.

I am urinary incontinent, so I need diapers at night, long time ago when I first became incontinent I hated the idea that I was going to be in diapers.

Knowing it wasen't going to go away I decided that I would try and turn it around in my mind that it was something that wasen't so terrible.

I wore 24/7 for over two years, going to work, doing all the stuff we all do in our everyday lives, it wasent easy, diapers during the daytime for able bodied people can be a real test. changing at work, leaking in the most embarrising places.

I have been using a shieth and legbag for the last three years for daytime and it has made a big differnce to me personally.

I can be incontinent, but appear to be like anyone else, even use public toilets when out and about, not have to fight with

heavy leaking diapers that would always be trying to fall down while walking around.

I still use diapers at nightime, usually abeana or molicares, always with plastic pants, sometimes use cloth diapers if the mood takes me, I love the secure feeling of being in a diaper and knowing that even though I usually wake soaked the bed will be dry.

Everyone who is close to me knows I wear diapers, none of them have issues with it, even my ex girlfriend accepted it,

she would much rather see me in a diaper everynight than wake up wet in the morning. -John.
