DD, i know you said this in another thread a while back, and i can't remember where it was, so i was wondering, about how much does it cost to the run the site monthly? i want to start regularly donating, now that i have a job that allows for me to do that financially, and i was just wondering what sort of donation i should start budgeting in...

Server Rental (basic server, not including bandwidth overages: $2,760 a year

Server management (support technicians on call to keep server running) $359.88

Message Board Licenses: $174.99 a year

Chat room: $396 a year

That's almost $3,700 a year we need to raise JUST to have the site here. And that doesn't include what I pay for graphic designers, script customization, domain fees, photographers for photo sets and more.

Things are tight again this month; pay site and ad sales are down, server costs are up. Could use a few new supporters this month if anyone can help! I would do it but don't have a clue. Would hate to crash the board on a test.. I thought that you said after the first donation you didn't want the status changed..but I might be thinking of someone else. Anyway would help if I could..Hey I did manage to get a few "older" people up to "member" status..so that's a plus..but the Verified and Donator status isn't listed where I was. So DD's Gonna have to do that..as I feel he should anyway.

On a side note: I think Angela Bauer should be listed as Verified 18+, as many of us "older" babies remember her from way back and have seen her either personally, or photo's and video's. Good gosh..she's a Lawyer, don't think you can be in a law firm at 17... Anyway best of luck on the upgrade..Perhaps I'll peek around in the Mod area again today..It's just kinda scary in there...don't even want to push the wrong button! LOL

That's one thing I hate about Capital One. They say that your payment will post to your account that same day if you pay between the hours they posted online, but sometimes it takes like three days before a payment is posted.

Hey DD,

As a big time user of this site (which is awesome btw), I really feel the need to donate. I often buy diapers from XP medical but when I do I send in a money order. I do not have a credit card or a paypal account. Do I need to set up a paypal account for you to get the donation or when I mail in my order could I put a note that says "please donate some of the money to DD?" I feel guilty not having donated yet, it's time to stop mouching ! So, I can set up a paypal account if needs be, whatever it takes to donate to the site.
