  1. After 25+ years 24/7, and many doctors later, you soon realize two things: The only one who cares about their style or type of underwear is you; your doctor may notice your underwear and may or may not comment. They really don't care if you need it or not, especially if you tell them that you've got it handled. Even if you just like to wear them and may or may not use them requires no explanation. It's easier to be shy and avoid the issue but bringing it out leads to freedom.
  2. That's a good boy. Try it. You'll love it. They feel so good and look oh so babyish.
  3. That's the problem when they're on the way out. They don't care anymore and customer service goes bye-bye as they swirl around and down the toilet. Not good enough for a diaper analogy.
  4. It may serve you to read Little Sherri's "blog" in 24/7 startups.... There's tons of experience and advice there. A continuous running commentary on all things diaper situations in real life.
  5. Plastic pants are 100% required at all times -- no exceptions!!!
  6. I can give you a recommendation for the contour cotton twill diaper with soaker insert from Changing Times Diaper Company. I have one and it is just as good as a disposable. It holds a lot very well and works very well at night. No velcro involved; you'll need fasteners. Not cheap, but will pay for itself soon enough. You may only need one during the day.
  7. If you can, check your account online; if not call the number on the back of the card and they'll be glad to help you confirm and if needed, dispute the charge. The sooner you do it, the less the credit card company will question the legitimacy of your claim. Matters like this can be resolved overnight. Usually with no pain.
  8. Isn't there meds to help with IBS? I'm currently struggling with that and will be asking the DR about it.
  9. Did you use a credit card, and if so, have you disputed the charge? This usually gets them off their duffs pretty quickly. If not, you get your cash back right away. They don't care who the vendor is. Good luck.
  10. I guess I'm like you -- with almost no vision at all. I can relate. My insurance makes no provision for coverage. I get premium Better Dry diapers for about $100/case (60 diapers total). One order per month covers the needs. I buy a couple other cases of Crinklz and InControl Elites in case I run out of Better Dry's but that almost never happens. Plus, if I do get short, I can always switch to the 6-8 cloth diapers I have in stock. Love the twill contour from CTDC. Rivals a disposable.
  11. If baby-pants.com isn't out of business by now it's a major miracle. They went to hell and I quit buying from them years ago. I have anumber of their onesies. They once were good and have many of them. Other suppliers are CTDC and InControl, of late has become my supplier. Too bad the color selection is so limited. Colors other than black or white would be nice. Some day I'll try Rearz if they have colored polo style.
  12. Good question. The fascination with diapers was there, but the plastic pants was a horny teenagers dream come true. Still can't get enough of the plastics, although the diaper is now a necessary component of every day life (as it has for the last 25+ years). Did the early fascination further the need? Probably... Boy Scout -- always be prepared... Never know when you'll be horny or peeing.
  13. Let me know when/if you get ins/Medicare to pay for them. It's so far out of the realm of possibility it doesn't even occur in this universe. Diapers just don't exist in those US worlds. When it applies, it usually relegates you to some sort of crap that's substandard not worth crapping in.
  14. I've gotten to the point where I don't care about discovery. I wear my size in clothing -- don't go up to hide the diaper. If it shows -- it shows. The plastic/PUL pants keep things under wrap and everything is tucked inside those nicely. Nothing is going to peek through those.
  15. Crinklz has several prints. I don't know for sure, but the ones I've bought are white with designs in black ink.
  16. Man... You're no fun. Living on the edge is fun.
  17. Same here. Often don't flood but still have heavy leaks and short spurts that make for a squishy, definitely wet diaper. No diaper = wet (whatever you have on).
  18. As usual, I'm late to the game. I get the majority of my plastics from Changing Times Diaper Company. They sell Gary products which makes most of the plastics on the market. There are literally hundreds of sites that sell the Gary's under their own brand name such as Leakmaster. CTDC has the complete range of plastics in solid and print colors that meet your needs. What you're asking for is very common. Usually leg/waist openings are elastic and not rapped with plastic. Forward facing leg holes are the norm. I don't know why it is, but I kill them pretty quickly. I also have PUL pants which after a few washing begin to feel rubber like but still prefer the good old fashioned vinyl.
  19. I am by no means an expert on this subject. My first ex hurt her back working at a nursing home and had a hell of a time getting anything. She had all sorts of doctor's visits with little or no results. She ended up taking a settlement from her employer wihich included separation. I, myself, had no trouble getting it as I went blind. Easy to prove; an open and closed case happened pretty quickly. Had to wait for short/long term from employer before it went into effect. Can't get diapers though. Tried hard and failed. Michigan doesn't do MedicAid when MediCare takes over. Couldn't qualify as I made too much money.
  20. Yeah. Something's wrong if you can't feel the bulk between your legs.
  21. Like many others have stated, it's your hangup. Just do it. You'll find you were sweating bullets for nothing. They will not care about your choice of underwear.
  22. Man, you complicated it to the point where it's a major event and now I'm afraid and discouraged from changing my own diaper. Yikes!!!
  23. The only way to go.
  24. According to my discussions with XP Medical, and as to my experience with ConfiDry, they went to hell. XP tells me that they were totally non-responsive to the quality issues. Those issues included poor quality control. Diapers were of inconsistent material, thickness and weight. Tabs were literally unglued, badly cut, or had differing amounts of glue on each tab. Absorbancy differed from diaper to diaper. In other words, they became unpredictable. XP Medical informed me that ConfiDry did not respond to inquiries, complaints, or other forms of questions and correspondence. Consequently, they have decided to drop them. On the other hand, or diaper, they've had the opposite response with Better Dry. They not only respond to questions, they also act quickly to resolve XP's questions and issues. Consequently, they've shifted from Confidru to Better Dry and have also shifted me some time ago. They address quality and tape issues quickly. In the end, it seems that Better Dry was the always the better choice but took time to get there. Price wise, they are a tad bit less, but you get 15/bag instead of 22.
