I've read every possible topic and this on the Internet in search of the one golden rule, but what I've come to believe is that it's up to the person to do what makes then comfortable (within reasonable limits). Let me explain........ I personally wear 24/7 and that means all the time, no matter what. So, there are times I need to be in public and might not be able to totally hide it. The best rule of thumb for be is that since diapers are my underwear I'll treat them as such. What this means is that any situation where a average person wouldn't just wear their underwear I can't wear just a diaper. For example, I'm fine with not covering it if I'm changing clothes at the gym or somewhere similar, but need to be making a reasonable effort to cover it everywhere else as average people will do with underwear. I'm also fine if my waistband accidently shows since I can't really help it 100% and it's no different that underwear showing. Just a touch more embarrassing. If I treat my diaper as not a big deal, others won't either. I even was accidentally found out by my father in law who is a really intense guy who couldn't care less. The one gray situation is swimming and the beach. I always have a swim diaper on and have one that can be completely hidden but really uncomfortable, and some new abdl ones that fit more like a diaper but are way way way more comfortable to wear. Unfortunately they can't really be hidden since the waistband guess way above my swimsuit and is a teddy bear print. Sometimes I wonder if it's even with covering at all. Ultimately, I treat others as I want to be treated and consider their feelings. If I'm not causing a problem I think it's 100% ok to wear just a swim diaper or normal diaper to the beach (pool rules usually don't allow this). If I treat it as just normal underwear I don't see any issues with others assuming you are ok and comfortable with the occasional comment or weird look. I'm planning on testing the waters by not hiding hiding the top of my swim diaper this year. One last comment is that intent is everything. If I'm in just my diaper, if it's the beach, or some other situation it's because it's normal to be in underwear, and that my intention is to just enjoy the activitiy, not emphasize that I'm a baby or in a diaper. If people notice, oh well but I'm not looking to make a point of it. I'm just enjoying my day without making a scene. It seems like a firm line not to cross. Other than that just have fun and don't think about your diaper or what others might think, as long as you are being a respectful adult.

Just wanted to spread awareness for my local shop, My diaper depot. Its located close to Cincinnati and has an amazing owner that supports our community. You can tell that he really loves what he does when you visit. My favorite part though is feeling like I'm completely normal when I stop by to pick up my diapers. Just yesterday I went by and picked up a pack of kiddo diapers, teddies. I would have never thought to try these except the amazing shop owner introduced me to them. I feel so accepted and wonderful. If any of you great people are close by I highly recommend stopping by. Support your local shops : )

I love the design, and really want to try them but being 24/7 its way to expensive to make a staple in my wardrobe. Maybe if my local shop (My Diaper Depot, Cincinnati) gets some in I'll give them a try. I'm adore how cute they are. There are tons of similar options out now. Kings, Try-again, and one I just got today called the kiddo teddies (Pic below)

Ya. Weight Rated to hold an adult, and has the added benefit of being portable to move if I have company over.

Just thought I would show off my DIY work of creating my changing table and area. Highlights are a custom turtle PUL cover, turtle pillow case, all supplies in reach for my big, and a locking safety belt. Makes me feel super little : )

Don't forget to try different diapers to find if one fits, and chafes less than others. For example, I'm 24/7 and rearz diapers cause me more problems than Tykables, or ABU. It all comes down to how well they fit you.

Wow. Thanks @Cute_Kitten for the research work. That's impressive. The likelihood of needing it is almost zero, but it's nice to be safe and comfy. Fun fact, I've been wearing my so secure swim diaper wakeboarding and it's so much more comfortable and stretchy than my standard compression shorts. I can't believe I didn't try it sooner! I'm no longer afraid of anyone finding it after going riding a few times at my local cable park. I do wear under my board shorts of course

I never wear plastic pants and they don't really look comfortable or little to me, but I think it's because they were not common growing up in the 90s/2000s

That's the plan. I DO NOT plan to use them for any reason, but they are an additional an safety measure. I have a condo pool that when it's quiet will be a perfect place for a test run is there too noticeable

Guess I just need to try and be brave. Worst that happens is that I get embarrassed and asked to leave, but otherwise I feel safe and have a great day. It's not risk free, but it beats not wearing. I'm just going to go have fun with my supportive friends.

What is considered reasonable? Seems highly subjective and unless a policy is clearly written like at Great Wolf Lodge which clearly states it's expected for anyone in diapers, it leaves a lot up to whoever you run into. To me it's very reasonable, but that's just my personal opinion. I'm specifically going on vacation to universal and and trying to figure out their policy. I asked and got sassed by the agent without a real answer. I felt really bad after because it was a real question.

The issue is not that I plan on using it and more that the park/pool will take issue with me having it on in the first place and not let me swim. I'm worried that they will think I'm either 1: not in control enough to be trusted in the water, or 2: weird and don't deserve to stay.

So for starters I'm newly diapered 24/7/365 and as @rusty pinshas said in other posts diapers are my new normal underwear and need to get used to it. With that said I do have a doctor's note stating that I require diapers as well. My question is that if I discretely as possible wear a so secure swim diaper (link below) under my bathing suit can a water park or pool kick me out for it? I'm NOT trying to show it off and intend to treat it discreet and private like my normal diaper, but it will be visible at the top waistline and possibly if I bend over. It would be under a swimsuit but I can't hide it fully due to the nature of swimming. Since I wear a diaper every day for ibs it feels respectful to wear one in the water as well even if it most likely won't be used. I want to be respectful to others but most importantly not get kicked out. Is this something that is likely to happen. I'm terrified in my mind of causing a scene. (Ps. Sorry for posting so much. I have a lot of strong emotions about being 24/7 now)

Hey that's a good idea! Only downside I can think of is that I would need to change my diaper every time, but I would probably do that anyway and might be be way more comfortable than a disposable.
