  1. Yes, that's the way. Adjustable flow dual shower heads like https://www.homedepot.com/p/303333599 with an extended length high flex armored hose like https://www.homedepot.com/p/302391860 are one of those "how did I ever live without this?" type conveniences. They're a 10 minute install in most cases, and let you reach every inch of your shower and yourself. You can certainly spend more, but the one linked above is inexpensive, reliable, and has all the spray patterns you need. These turn a neck or waist-down shower into a fast 5 minute operation. As a quick aside, you might want to investigate removing the flow restrictor in modern shower heads. You can get a lot more pressure out of the wand in this way, and just adjust the pressure down as needed with the lever on the wand.
  2. The chat's been up and stable since yesterday evening. I left a connection running overnight and it was still active this morning. It also appears that the long-standing bug preventing user list updates was squished. Thanks again for keeping this ship sailing, Mikey.
  3. Sticking with the major brands (Samsung, Lenovo) is probably a better idea than picking some small-batch tablet from an unknown company. You'll have better longevity this way. OS updates will be available for a longer time, repairs will be possible, etc. Apple is far and away the best in this area, but you explicitly asked for an Android tablet. Getting to a store and holding a few tablets before ordering anything would be worth the trip. Particularlly, keep an eye on the weight. Tablets over a pound are surprisingly annoying to hold for hours if you're using them as e-readers. You might also find you're happier with a different aspect ratio than the cheap 1920x1080 screens provide.
  4. Oh, hey there! Welcome to DD! Glad to see you here. I've recently discovered your podcast, and started slowly working through the backlog. Such good stuff. You have great guests (the CAP history episode was fantastic), the new special interests segment is becoming a particular bright spot, and you're occasionally making it dangerous to drive because I'm laughing too hard to control the car. I'll restrain, for the moment, my inclination to drop five pages reacting to the last fifteen hilarious and/or fascinating podcast bits, and just say that we may have some of those special interests in common. (3D printing, absurdities in home automation, Le Guin, etc etc.) If you'd enjoy engaging in gratuitous acts of geekery in the hobby forums or DD webchat, I'd be very much game.
  5. It's not an exact match, but that looks very much like a modern Comotomo bottle nipple. They come in several flow levels, and are the perfect size to fit inside a standard sized Mason jar lid. This opens many options for bottle sizes.
  6. To be a little more descriptive, a few people are seeing their browsers output text <img> tags instead of emoji when emoji are chosen from the popup menu. These tags appear unparsed to everyone in the chat. Andy was running desktop Firefox at the time. Not everyone running Firefox is seeing the problem, though.
  7. That rule used to be listed at the top of the chat page. It was lost while fixing one of the more recent configuration problems. It might be helpful for new members if that notification was replaced. You can kind of sympathize with new people making that mistake, when the rule isn't posted front and center.
  8. It's presenting exactly as it did last time. The chat room app is still running just fine, but the referencing iframe tag has gone missing from the chat page html.
