    Ugh

Sounds like you got an ARM which really sucks when rates go up; especially now with inflation... Banks are paying over 5% for 3-month CDs with low initial investment. Sure am happy that mortgage was paid in full during 2021. Spent most of the time getting screwed like you and not liking it.
  2. AS usual, you speak truth and wisdom grasshopper.
  3. During divorce, I temporarily moved back into my parent's home. They were well aware of my vision and incontinence issues. Before leaving to a scheduled event, my mother noticed a lot of crinkling from me while on the way out of the house. She insisted that I go back and put on a pair of plastic pants to kill the noise. After doing so, she gave her approval and we left. Since then, I have plastic pants on, regardless of diaper type, time, or event. No exceptions, no matter where or what. It is the best!!!
  4. If I could tell that it's there, I'd probably like it. No eyesight = is there a wetness indicator -- really?
  5. I'll raise that and call -- yeah baby!!!! Plastics is the best!!!
  6. I completely agree with Rusty. Capacity isn't always the determining or desired factor. Get a good diaper and resolve to change it somewhere along the way. Can't emphasize the importance of an overpant -- I prefer plastic, but it's your choice. Finding a place to change isn't that hard -- I've used stalls multiple times and really don't care who sees me throwing a used diaper away. You'll probably never see them again. And if you do, so what?
  7. the official definition for bladder IC from urology: Any involuntary loss of urine of any amount. Any questions?
  8. Everyone is right. It's an almost impossible task. The best way to handle it? This may sound harsh but it's not: Time to seriously consider going out on your own. You won't regret it.
  9. Unlike you, I've been screwed from the beginning, My insurance (whether employer supplied or later Medicare had no provisions for diapers and the cost has been fully borne by me. I could never qualify for Medicaid as my income level was too high, even when considered disabled. To this day, I bear the full cost of wearing and using diapers. I am on a fixed income which still keeps me barely above the poverty line which I conclude is done purposely. My fixed income is higher than many others as I paid an exorbitant amount in taxes during my lifetime. I found a good supplier and Betterdry diapers at a reasonable cost that I can afford. Northshore was never a cost effective option for me. A colonoscopy was suggested last week and I turned them down. Did the same for the one you do at home but have to play with your poop to send in a sample. Ain't happening. Stay well and prosper.
  10. Plan ahead. Pack smart... Use a backpack and take enough diapers and supplies to get you to your destination. This includes any connection flights and layovers. Pack enough in checked luggage to get you through your trip. Scope out diaper supply locations in advance so you have a backup source if necessary. If you need to, ship a case of diapers in advance to your destination and pick up when you get there. Reverse the above on the return trip. This has worked well for me in the past. Good luck.
  11. Y'all are so great!!! Crazy enviro-MENTAL ists...
  12. After 25+ years 24/7, and many doctors later, you soon realize two things: The only one who cares about their style or type of underwear is you; your doctor may notice your underwear and may or may not comment. They really don't care if you need it or not, especially if you tell them that you've got it handled. Even if you just like to wear them and may or may not use them requires no explanation. It's easier to be shy and avoid the issue but bringing it out leads to freedom.
  13. That's a good boy. Try it. You'll love it. They feel so good and look oh so babyish.
  14. That's the problem when they're on the way out. They don't care anymore and customer service goes bye-bye as they swirl around and down the toilet. Not good enough for a diaper analogy.
  15. It may serve you to read Little Sherri's "blog" in 24/7 startups.... There's tons of experience and advice there. A continuous running commentary on all things diaper situations in real life.
  16. Plastic pants are 100% required at all times -- no exceptions!!!
  17. I can give you a recommendation for the contour cotton twill diaper with soaker insert from Changing Times Diaper Company. I have one and it is just as good as a disposable. It holds a lot very well and works very well at night. No velcro involved; you'll need fasteners. Not cheap, but will pay for itself soon enough. You may only need one during the day.
  18. If you can, check your account online; if not call the number on the back of the card and they'll be glad to help you confirm and if needed, dispute the charge. The sooner you do it, the less the credit card company will question the legitimacy of your claim. Matters like this can be resolved overnight. Usually with no pain.
  19. Isn't there meds to help with IBS? I'm currently struggling with that and will be asking the DR about it.
  20. Did you use a credit card, and if so, have you disputed the charge? This usually gets them off their duffs pretty quickly. If not, you get your cash back right away. They don't care who the vendor is. Good luck.
  21. I guess I'm like you -- with almost no vision at all. I can relate. My insurance makes no provision for coverage. I get premium Better Dry diapers for about $100/case (60 diapers total). One order per month covers the needs. I buy a couple other cases of Crinklz and InControl Elites in case I run out of Better Dry's but that almost never happens. Plus, if I do get short, I can always switch to the 6-8 cloth diapers I have in stock. Love the twill contour from CTDC. Rivals a disposable.
  22. If baby-pants.com isn't out of business by now it's a major miracle. They went to hell and I quit buying from them years ago. I have anumber of their onesies. They once were good and have many of them. Other suppliers are CTDC and InControl, of late has become my supplier. Too bad the color selection is so limited. Colors other than black or white would be nice. Some day I'll try Rearz if they have colored polo style.
