  1. I was working in in a juvenile correctional facility. We had an escape attempt. A news crew was there. I thought, "I hope they find him soon because I really need to pee."
  2. Adult training pants are beneficial for people who have small leaks or dribbles so that an embarrassing wet spot doesn't appear on their pants. They can also be useful for people who want to gain bladder control. Training pants encourage using the potty because they are easier to remove than a diaper. They also provide protection in case of an accident although they aren't as absorbent as a diaper. The cloth trainers feel wet so you pay attention to your body's signals. Plastic pants can be worn over trainers for extra protection.
  3. Mommypro- If necessary get a second or even third opinion from another urologist. Keep trying to retrain yourself. If possible wear goodnites or disposable underwear. It might be too difficult to remove a diaper in time to use the bathroom. You will have accidents during the learning process so try not to be too hard on yourself. Are you waking up wet? Please let us know how you are doing.
  4. First of all I would like to congratulate those who have re-potty trained themselves. For those who re-potty trained themselves, how did you do it and how long did it take? For those who want to re-potty train themselves, remember that everyone learns at their own pace. The method that works for one person may not work for another. People have to come up with their own plan. It's best to start slow. Success builds confidence. Although there will be accidents, too many accidents can be discouraging.
  5. For people who don't wear 24/7, before they wet they have to ask themselves if they are diapered. I have heard stories of people who forgot they weren't weren't wearing a diaper and just wet. Dlmike35- The way your girlfriend reacted to your accident was wrong. You needed understanding and reassurance. You are not alone. You aren't the first guy to have an accident and you won't be the last. You didn't do it on purpose. You were probably so used to being diapered that you wet without thinking about it. Are you still in diapers because you are afraid of having another accident or have you lost some control from wearing 24/7? How do you and your girlfriend feel about you wearing 24/7?
  6. David- I'm so sorry you had to get up 8 times to use the bathroom. I hope the doctor can adjust your diuretic so you can sleep well. It's a good idea to diaper up for concerts because the restroom might be far away or there might be a long line. Especially if someone is newly potty trained they might not be paying attention to their body 's gotta go signals because they are so into the show and their muscles might not be strong enough to hold it until they get to the restroom.
  7. David- It's ok to wet. Accidents are common among the newly potty trained. Good thing you were wearing a diaper. There are factors that increase the risk of bedwetting. For example, some people are more likely to wet the bed when they are tired. Sometimes wearing diapers makes bedwetting more likely because for some people the diaper gives them subconscious permission to wet. Also the diaper can stop them from feeling when they start to wet so instead of waking up they sleep through it. It might have been a little too soon after potty training to wear a diaper to bed.
  8. I collect stamps and postcards. I also collect horse and cat items like mugs, books, figurines, etc.
  9. If possible, I would wear dark pants in case of a leak. People probably won't notice a you are wearing a diaper but they will notice a leak. Consider plastic pants to help contain any leaks. This is not the time to experiment with a new diaper. Whatever diaper you decide to wear, give it a trial before the wedding. A diaper that works for someone else might not work for you. Please let us know how it goes.
  10. I hope everything works out for you. Trust and communication are important in a relationship. Have a heart to heart talk with her. Being a man has nothing to do with wearing diapers. The kind of person you are and how you treat people determines how much of a man you are. No guy should be shamed or humiliated for an accident unless it's part of a mutually agreed upon role playing scenario. If you wear a diaper nobody will probably know. If you wet your pants everyone will know. It's better to wear a diaper and not need it than to not wear a diaper and need it. To regain your control you might need some re potty training. Try pull-ups because they make it easier to to use the toilet. Don't get discouraged when you have an accident. Remember night time control takes longer to achieve than day time control. I'd rather have a sweet guy who wears diapers than a jerk who doesn't. Please let us know how things are going.
  11. Nappied Dan- How are you doing? I hope you are making progress in your quest for dryness. Becoming dry is a process. It sounds like you are afraid of having accidents. Give yourself permission to have accidents during the learning process. Put a waterproof sheet on the bed. Try setting an alarm every few hours during the night to see what time you wet or if you wet more than once a night. To help you feel the wetness try wearing cloth diapers without plastic pants. You can also put on a pair of underwear under a disposable diaper. Please let us know how you are doing.
  12. I'm so sorry this is happening to you. It's one thing to wear diapers for enjoyment and another thing to wear them out of necessity. The first step is to see a doctor, preferably a urologist. Get a second opinion if necessary. They can test you for a UTI. Try heading for the restroom sooner because trying to hold it can cause accidents. For protection wear pull-ups because they are easier to remove than a diaper so you might be able to make it to the restroom. Please let us know how you are doing.
  13. Dan- The first step is to go to a doctor, preferably a urologist to rule out a physical cause. Also consider getting a second opinion. Something that may help is to keep a chart or diary of your dry nights and wet ones to see if there is a pattern. For example, some people find stress, being sick or tired makes them more likely to wet the bed. What kind of diapers do you wear? Try cloth diapers because some people say you feel when they are wet. This may help you wake up, kind of like the pull-ups that feel cold when they are wet. Keep us updated. We are rooting for you to become dry.
  14. Did anyone have to be re-potty trained for for some reason? What was it like? How long did it take? How did you do it? I have heard some guys need help with potty training. They have accidents because they wait too long or they aren't paying attention to the body's signals because they are engrossed in something like watching tv, playing video games or using their smart phone
  15. I hope you are feeling better. Ask daddy for some cuddles. Explain how much you would enjoy cuddles especially since you are sick. I'm sure he will be happy to give you cuddles. Maybe you could find something on the internet about ab and show it to him to start a conversation. Explain what ab means to you and how much you enjoy it. Let us know how you are doing.
  16. Are you wearing cloth diapers at night? Do you think cloth diapers are bulkier and more noticeable under clothing? Do you wear cloth diapers during the day? Some say you can feel wetness more with cloth diapers and they are uncomfortable when wet. Do you think that would help with potty training? Would it be too hard to remove a cloth diaper in time to use the toilet, especially at night?
  17. How is your husband doing? Have the doctors been able to find anything? He should see a urologist. Consider getting a second opinion. Is he getting used to the diapers? Does he tell you when he's wet or does he ask you to change him? Reassure him that he is not alone and that other guys need diapers too. Diapering involves alot of trust and can bring people closer together. Shower him with praise and affection when he's diapered so he associates good things with diapers. Does he need diapers during the day or just at night?
  18. I don't own a gun, but I love to go shooting. I support gun rights.
  19. I don't own a gun, but I love to go shooting. I support gun rights.
  20. Frank- I'm glad you realize there are no quick fixes and that weight loss is basically burning more calories than you consume. This is an instant gratification society so people are always looking for a quick fix. Everyone rushes to try this year's miracle weight loss diet or pill, wrinkle cream or get rich quick scheme because last year's didn't work. Have you seen a urologist about your incontinence? It sounds like you might have overflow incontinence where the bladder leaks or overflows because it can't empty completely. Other types of incontinence are stress incontinence in which urine leaks out due to an increase in abdominal pressure when someone coughs, sneezes, laughs, lifts something or exercises. In urge incontinence the person gets a sudden urge to urinate and their bladder empties before they can get to the bathroom. Let us know how you are doing. We're pulling for you.
  21. How have you been doing? I have some suggestions that may help you. I am a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist. One thing I would recommend is avoiding over the counter diet pills like Lipozene, Hydroxycut etc. They are considered dietary supplements so they don't have to be proven safe or effective like a drug. These supplements are required to carry a disclaimer, "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease." I know you don't like the diapers and they are embarrassing. You are not alone. If lots of guys didn't need diapers they wouldn't make them. I have an idea that may help you get out of diapers. My impression is that you have a sudden urge to pee and due to being unable to hold it and mobility issues by the time you get to the bathroom and remove your diaper you are wet. If you can wear the pull-up diapers and have a male urinal nearby you may be able to use it.
  22. I don't like to rush potty training. I'd rather take my time with someone because success builds confidence and accidents can be discouraging. Nighttime dryness takes longer to achieve than daytime dryness. Keep up the great work!
  23. David- Congratulations! You can be very proud of yourself for potty training so quickly and so well. Do you use guards or shields to take care of dribbles? Do you use pull-ups as a transition between diapers and underwear? During potty training there are times when it is necessary to wear diapers. In the beginning most guys wear diapers more than underwear. As their potty training progresses they can wear underwear more. I tell guys not to get discouraged because there will be accidents especially in the beginning. I prefer to take my time and keep things low key during potty training.I will never punish or shame him. This creates fear and hinders the training process. Please keep us updated.
