Did you even proofread what you wrote? You state you "drank too much," then claim you didn't. Which is it? No advice on the wet bed as that can happen when one drinks too much.

Me too, and it got worse as the evening went on. Gifts..... none. Our family decided last year to not exchange gifts. It was a mix of the economy, taking care of my dad, (which didn't leave a lot of time for shopping, [he passed in March,]) and age. We are at the age where most of us do not need gifts. One thing I will miss is my dad's annual gift subscription to Reader's Digest. I ended up with self bought gifts. I bought two bottles of wine and a bottle of vodka for the family get together, but we ended up not opening them and just having a couple beers, so I have them back home.

Heh, forgot all about my experiences until this thread rekindled them. We had relatives out 'in the boondocks,' so I used an outhouse many times. This was late '40's to maybe '53-'54. Another relative built an indoor outhouse. Enclosed a section in the cellar under the 'hole' and would treat it then shovel it out once a year or so. They also had indoor water, a well pump at the kitchen sink, probably connected to the well under the pump outside. Don't recall if they had a pump in the bathroom. It was cool, as at the other farmhouses, one had to go out to the well and bring the water back in buckets. Looking back at the well being so close to the in/outhouses versus today's standards for separation, I wonder if it affected anyone's health. For those who don't know, an outhouse is basically today's porta-potty, but without a bottom and installed over a hole in the ground. When it got "full," a new hole was dug and the outhouse moved. Methane gas could build up so woe to those that decided to light up a smoke and got blown off the pot. On topic, yes it's nice to not get up during the night or from a project.

No to TF's question. Yes, but cooked on didn't go too well. We ended up getting them on the side. One anchovie can cover about 3-4 bites of pizza. So my question is, have you ever had 'raw' anchovies as a side/topping w/pizza or otherwise?

On topic, but not "today," Over the last several months, I have been in & out of hospital & Dr office with lots of tests run. Body & heart functions are great. Minor liver & pancreas damage along w/some other issues that are being controlled by meds. In other words, for my age, I'm in pretty good shape.

Are you trying to tell us that posts of yours like this one example of many; is not barely understandable "baby talk"? What is it then? Again, cutting slack as I don't know you, your background, abilities/disabilities, or what you're on the 'net with, but you don't seem to grasp the concept of not using "text abbreviations," spelling out words, using a spellchecker along with proper capitalization. Just in your one sentence, you misspelled "first" as "frist," "there" as "thair," "meant" as ment," "does not" as "dose not," and "wear" as "ware," a totally different meaning. I believe others will attest and back my opinion that your "pink" writing and the misspellings make your messages hard to read and understand. You've got to be kidding me with that question! I'm twice+ your age, and very technologically inept, but I thought "everyone" knew that phrase. Blackberrys, iPods, and all other handheld devices can become very addictive, much like heroin or cocaine, hence the common, at least around here and on many sites, slang of calling them "crackberries." What the heck is a "50 shot clip"???? I know of magazines that will hold 50 or more rounds for a rifle, but the only "clips" I know of have a capacity of 5 to 8 rounds for certain wheel handguns. Yea, just pokin' fun at the age old discussion of "clip" vs "magazine." BTW, mine have that capacity or better, my semi handguns have mags up & over 20 cap, sadly, I haven't found any way to increase my wheel guns capacities. I and my both female & male friends are no J. Mickulik's (sp?), but we can all do a mean & quick reload w/speed loaders on our wheel guns.

There is no way I could choose "one person." In music, I'd probably choose Hendrix. Getting into "[they]made a difference," politics, second amendment, (gun rights,) and all other possible choices, there is really no way to come up with "one" person. In other words, "choose one person" threads like this are worthless. Heck, under certain circumstances, I might choose Nixon, Atilla the Hun or Hitler, depending on mood. How about Joesph, whose wife/girlfriend gave birth by "immaculate conception" to Jesus. I'd like to hear his take on it. Carry on with speculation.
