Couple of things really stuck out to me in this chapter. First, I was really pleased to hear that Rita has been planning on getting Sarah to lighten up a bit. The second, even with the cat out of the bag they are all still in. I really don’t think that Ian’s news is going to change how any of these women feel about him. Priscilla is almost a sure thing in the family now and I believe that Rita and Vickie can pull the reigns on Sarah a little. She can still be the house mom but just not take things to the extreme. I am looking forward to seeing how this meeting and the following drinking session goes. -

I’d really have to say yes, I was pretty babied/spoiled. I was a “surprise” baby to my parents, and I came a good while after my siblings. I had a very sweet stay-at-home mom who also was a bit of a micromanager and took charge of everything. I think she was happy to have a new baby, and didn’t really mind how dependent I was on her for waaayyy too long. I was kind of an emotionally needy kid. Lot of anxiety, big crybaby. I pretty frequently slept with my mom even into middle school because I’d get scared at night. I couldn’t be left alone in the house either or I’d freak out. And then I was just kind slow in growing up in so many ways I was always really smart for my age in school, but anything at all practical or needed for independence, I just could not handle. Wasn’t potty-trained until really late, took forever to learn how to tie my shoes, wet the bed until my teens. I never had any privacy or needed any. My mom kind of just handled everything. I really started to feel embarrassed by it as I became an older kid but I also didn’t really want anything to change. When I was in middle school grade, my bedroom still pretty much looked like a nursery, not to mention I still had a drawer of diapers and plastic sheets.
