Little Sherri
We had the barest dusting of white on the ground this morning. Why couldn't Halloween have been last week, when I drank beer on a patio in a sweatshirt and it was in the low 70's. Link to comment
Cute_Kitten
Forget orange pumpkins 🎃 and colorful fall leaves 🍂. Apparently Mother Nature has taken a page out of commercialism's book and snow is here, along with all the Christmas stuff in stores. (Tbh I've been seeing Christmas stuff since like...July...😑) Snow pumpkin! Merry Halloween? 5 Link to comment

rusty pins
Had to find my snow brush and ice scraper this morning. Quite a bit more than just a dusting of snow on my car. Snowing heavily on the way to work, listening to the scanner. Lots of idiots slid off the road, hit the guard rails on the interstate, it was a mess. Happens every year with the first snowfall of the season. Moron's get in their cars and go buzzing down the roads and highways as if it was the middle of summer. When there is snow, slush and ice on the road, you have to dive slower and allow more time to stop. 1 Link to comment

2sail2
I got a Nest thermostat. It reads 70 and my stand alone thermostat reads 65. I liked my old Sensi one better, but it never stayed connected to wifi. I started wearing pajama bottoms and socks to bed...used to wear nothing. Or am I just getting older and more sensitive to heat and cold? Link to comment

It just gives you more traction on snow and ice while driving. And what about all the idiot drivers who don't have 4-wheel drive and end up in the ditch or crashing into other cars because they try and drive fast on icy roads just like it was the middle of summer? No, who is the real idiot here... Link to comment

No, who is the real idiot here... Exactly. I have a 2wd truck, yet have only been stuck once. Ironically, trying to get into my own driveway. I think it was 2009 when we had a storm that was dubbed "snowmageddon". I left work early, but so did pretty much everybody else and the roads were clogged. Most of the main routes were nearly impassible so I was taking detours through neighborhoods. That storm was dumping snow at inches per hour. I left near the start of the storm, but by the time I got home (which was about 3 hours later) there was 6 inches or more on the ground. Yet I was able to get through, only to get stuck right as I was turning into my driveway. Link to comment
