Crimson_Wolf
I drive with one hand and then with both when making turns. Link to comment
DailyDi
50/50 mix of two-hand or one and gear shift (auto trans, just a comfortable place to rest a hand.) Link to comment
Shotgun Diplomat
One hand on the wheel, the other resting on the door. Two hands only for poor conditions, or tricky maneuvers. Link to comment
beallucanb
Depends on the car I'm in,on some cars I do keep both hands on the wheel because it is more comfortable to drive that car that way. On my old corvette I like to keep one hand on the shifter most of the time, the new one is nicer to drive with both hands on the wheel. Link to comment
matt4
I drive a pretty big truck I inherited so both. Left hand comes off for blinkers, wipers, lights, windows. Right hand for cruise control, grabbing drink and to restart my "road" playlist. Link to comment
DL4LIFE
1. I have steering knob on my big truck and my pickup. I find I have better control over my steering not to mention my big truck has a terrible turning ratio. Link to comment
WBDaddy
The defensive driving instructor said, "However you want to position your hands, as long as it adds up to 12, you're good." So I drive with one hand at 12. Link to comment

LilJennie
Especially if I'm making lots of maneuvers I keep both hands on the wheel -- the only exception is if I'm driving on the highway and the trip is fairly uneventful. Link to comment

AwakenEvil
I drive a manual so I always have 1 hand on the wheel and the other on the stick. Link to comment
tallbaby
I usually have one hand at 3 or 9 on my normal 'zen' drives, and on a long road trip, sometimes at 5:30 or 6:30. If Link to comment
ErinM
One hand. Two hands has never been comfortable for some reason. Link to comment
