DailyDi
Two root canals, two fillings one cavity drilled out. In pain! Link to comment
warpiper
i just got back from the dentist too! no root canals, but i'm sure that's coming up... i have some fillings to do on thursday. Link to comment
Baby Brian
I used to stay away from the dentist because of the same fears. Eventually I realized staying away was actually making things worse for me. Now I make sure to go for every checkup and seldom have any issues at all. It's true what they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Link to comment
AwakenEvil
I recently had a tooth removed... wasnt terrible... i do fear the next step in a year once I save the money for an implant... sounds painful! Link to comment
DailyDi
Doesn't pay to delay dentists. One of the fillings was to fill a tooth he says would have become a toothache/root canal within a few weeks so I got it done to save it. Link to comment
willnotwill
I had two extractions (one bad tooth and one wisdom) and that wasn't too bad because I paid the extra $75 or whatever and got a general anesthetic. Link to comment
Midwest Babygirl
It's not even possible for me to hide how much of a baby I am when I'm at the dentist. Link to comment
DailyDi
Have to say, my dentist is really good. He numbed my mouth up good and I really didn't feel the root canals at all while he was doing them. I still can't feel my chin or lower lip lol. Just my gums throbbing from the trauma of it all, but he gave me pain pills which are starting to work. Was quite wet after three hours in the chair! Dry bambino, apple sauce and a movie (big hero 6) to make me feel better now. Link to comment
AwakenEvil
I dont remember anything from my wisdom teeth removal Link to comment
Craisler
Two root canals, two fillings one cavity drilled out. In pain! I'll bet your wallet is in pain, too. Link to comment
AwakenEvil
Unless he has amazing insurance. My extraction was 100 but my new fake tooth out of pocket is 1500.00 after my insurance kicks in 1000.00 and that's spent for a year Link to comment
froggy
but you all survived the dentist. Link to comment
tommyp
I don't mean to brag but I'm still in the no cavity club. Not too sure how because I didn't go to the dentist for about 5 yrs until a few months ago. Lucky I guess Link to comment

square_duck
Two root canals, two fillings one cavity drilled out. In pain! What? No "Partridge in a pear tree"? Sorry you had to deal with that, ugh! but at leats you go it done. I ignored the dentis for a long time as well, until it got to the point that I had to go, and that wasn't fun! I wound up with 4 crowns, multiple cleanings, possible dead tooth, and more then likely will be needing a root canal as well someday and to say I dread it is no understatement. I don't have dental insurance, so pay for it as I go. I have a pretty good dentist, but still....UGH! Link to comment
DailyDi
Just glad to do it all in one trip, once you're numbed up just knock it all out I say. Link to comment
rusty pins
When I had root canal on only one tooth, it was $2,300! Link to comment
Baby Brian
Well he did say he used up his dental benefits so I'm guess he has coverage of some sort. Link to comment
barnburner
i had a root canal and several fillings, now my teeth are super sensitive cold drinks :'( Link to comment
DailyDi
50% coverage with 1,000 cap, but that's gone now and then some. Link to comment
Craisler
Dental insurance usually isn't worth the cost of the premiums unless you have bad teeth. It almost certainly isn't going to come close to covering the dental costs you incur. Link to comment
