leafy kille
Today when I opened my emails I found a message from DD, this is not all that unusual, I thought someone may have sent me a pm or something, but no, what I had was an unsolicited advert telling me to buy some brand of nappies, wtf is wrong with you? I hate email spam and I don't want to have to add DD to my block list, stop this madness now! Link to comment
Bettypooh
We don't do spam I'm not sure what's up, maybe someone is using the site name unapproved, but we do not sell or show your personal info to anyone. I'm sure DailyDi will confirm this when he sees your post. Link to comment
ForbiddenFruit
Just posting to verify this, I too received a 'buy 2 get 1 free' email. Link to comment
Repaid1
Can we get a bit more info? When you say you got a email "from" DD do you mean the site or his actual email for this site? Did the email contain "CC" addresses as well as though it looked like it harvested multiple addresses as a email virus? And if so were any of the email addresses that it was forwarding any of your actual contacts from your email client? Will kind of help us understand what we are dealing with. Link to comment
Elfy
I got one too, though it is an advert for teenadultdiapers.com so i imagine it was sent with the permission of DD Link to comment
wetatnight
I got 3 of them yesterday Link to comment
Repaid1
Yes either post any more info here or send it to my PM. I can assure you this is not within our guidelines, nor are any of the sites sponsors permitted to use our member list for unsolicited emails or PM contact as well. We need to find the source of these to correct this issue. Understand your safety and security upon this site IS our first concern. You can find a link to my email in my signature if you wish to use that option. Link to comment
ruuuuuuuuu1
i got one on 2/11/2015 Link to comment
DailyDi
It's not spam. It was sent to registered members who agreed to receive occasional emails from us. Link to comment
Baby Brian
I get those too. Honestly I believe an occasional email and a solicitation type email are two completely different things. Facebook did that to me one dozen too many times so now they are blocked spam. Perhaps you might want to update our email options to separate contact and soliciting type emails. Just a thought. Elfy
It's not a big deal, I think I can remember only 2 or 3 e-mails from here in the last few years (that weren't PM based) Link to comment
Dubious
Most free sites force that "option" on you, some, like with DD, it is an option Link to comment
DailyDi
I would hope people see an occasional email from me as a minimal "cost" of bringing this large site to everyone without cost. Link to comment
DailyDi
You know who does get to complain about me sending out that email? My mailman! Link to comment

Bettypooh
Yeah, if they were paying attention to the fine print they'd know they have also agreed to let me crash on their couch when I am in their area! Yeah, it's like the Judge told me about the cash they wanted from me- it was in the "fined" print Link to comment
astrodiaper
I've been getting these too. And yes, I signed on for the e-mails, so just chill. On a side note, sorry Daily Di, I don't have a couch to crash on, yet. Link to comment
BriGuy
Yeah, if they were paying attention to the fine print they'd know they have also agreed to let me crash on their couch when I am in their area! Mi casa su casa DD, although you'd have to crash in my "guest house." (Read motor home) Link to comment
Baby Brian
I want to clarify my last post. While I do see those emails as solicitation, I also accept they help keep this site running and certainly don't mind getting one or two a month. If however, they were to become highly frequent then yeah I would just start blocking them. Link to comment
