rusty pins
For all who like watching the Mythbusters show on Discovery, how did you take the news last night? Link to comment
Dubious
I might start watching it again then I liked the original mythbusters duo and didn't really like the other 3 1 Link to comment
Baby Brian
I fell out of that show during one of their previous, between seasons breaks. It was a good show though, but given they will be cutting back I can't see it regaining that lost ground. Link to comment
DailyDi
Probably getting too expensive to carry 5 stars now that the trio are as popular as Jamie and Adam Link to comment
Midwest Babygirl
I'm much more worried about the network taking the show in a "new direction." Link to comment
Darkfinn
Carrie, Grant and Tory are still employed by M5... they do a lot of things besides "mythbusting." Link to comment

drynot
I suppose we'll just have to get used to it. Link to comment
Jilly Poo
The announcement was a shocker to me and I was literally watching it with my mouth agape. Link to comment
Dubious
I'll be interested in books if I get paid for it Link to comment
rusty pins
I was not aware, and I'm still not sure if they are still employeed by M5. Link to comment
Eggster
I've always preferred Adam and Jamie's segments but it's sad that the trio is leaving. I feel like the show itself inst going to go anywhere for a few more years. It's certainly not as popular as it was years ago but the fan base is strong enough to not let it die out right now. spark
The episode where the made the announcement was the episode that I appeared in. Link to comment
Baby Brian
I do hope they do build some steam, but it's been on the air a long time and as Babykara said- this is the only Discovery show that is actually showing real science and isn't some 'reality' type show. The whole group of channels has really gone downhill in recent years and is showing crap like Amish Mafia, Naked and Afraid, Pawn Stars, and etc. And that's a big part of the reason why I dropped cable. I'm not going to pay a premium for a channel that has ONE good show on it, especially if that one show isn't going to be running new episodes for half of the year. (hear that AMC). Link to comment
lilJester
personally i liked the other three on the show, I mean you can't have Adam and Jamie doing EVERYTHING and always being the living busters.... Link to comment
diaperguy85
i for one, welcome the "less-is-more" idea they are getting back to. the earlier seasons were really good. adam and jamie were able to delve more into the actual science and problem solving behind the 1-3 myths per show. the last few seasons just seemed rushed as they plow through the myths to get to the conclusions (e.i. - explosions!) of the 3-4 myths and also to give kari more time on screen. nice to look at as she is, i feel kari detracted from the show, adding not much to the process other than something to help attract a male audience. Dill_Pickle
One of the problems of TV is that any given show starts out with a stock of good ideas...which weren't generated during the hectic production of the show...that eventually run out. Link to comment

Rylyn28
I will miss them. I really liked Tory, Grant and Carrie. I always found them to be a wonderful addition to the team and they brougt a unique blend of humor to the show as well. Would love to see them get their own spin-off. That would be awesome.
