My friend bought me the Lego ISS for my birthday!

That's really cool ?. I've gotten back into Lego's. They're a lot of fun.

Legos are wonderful and you can be so creative with them. I honestly think they are for all ages to have fun with and create thing with. So have fun and get creative. Buy some Legos.

Heck yes, Lego is how my friends and I meet and do something constructive together when when the weather sucks or we want to party and can't drive! It makes spending the night over as adults so exciting! We all build different sections and then put them together! 🥰🥰🥰 Then the next time when our parents come over for an occasion we are all like, hey check out what my friends and I built last weekend.

That never gets old! Never grow up, plus every age can enjoy them, even the duplo babies!

Lego's have become so expensive though... Even something small-ish like a shuttle craft is enough to make me at least think twice.

I've got some Lego, but I'm more into Meccano really - my generation.  All metal, all second-hand, and a lot of it.  I'm building a big crane just now.

Theirs a big difference between kids playing with toys and building with toys...your thinking of giggling running around play most small children ingage in. That burns off excess energy  But when kids use building toys they get all quit and quite images on their project same with art and drawing...   its a different type of play

Pour out the box on the floor, get your diaper on if you haven't already, sit on the floor and play.  Seems a simple answer to me.

As with TinkerToy, Block City (late 1950's) or evena dollhouse, which is better since it does not have little knobs on it that can turn you feet into searing walls of pain, unless it is LITTLE CHRISTIENE'S DOLLHOUSE, which you go into. But then you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave

Everybody forgets Lincoln Logs - or wants to. Those and Erector Set are a bit more complex and less intuitive

I still have my Tinker Toys, Block City and Lionel train sets in storage for after retirement....  And yes, my Tinker Toys have the old style wood short orange pins that came with the original sets.... No longer available.  I have two (large) cans of Tinker toys.  The first was all wood except for the motor.  The second had some plastic parts.

TinkerToy had a motor?!? That was after my time

Battery powered.  Red plastic parts   Took two C or D batteries.  (Don't remember the specific size.)

The new LEGO sets are amazing! I own a few, got back into it after a back injury. The coolest thing mama and I built was the avengers tower.
