  1. Me too. I'm sure the two glasses of wine, and the glass of champagne, had a lot to do with it.
  2. From childhood on, I've gone through periods of constipation, followed by periods of diarrhea. I've never really understood why, since it seems to be unrelated to what I eat. Anyway, when I was about ten, I had a series of pooping accidents in school and at home, and the cleanup was horrible (not to mention I got quite a chewing-out from my folks). I remember thinking even then that a diaper would have been useful. That, incidentally, was the week my dad planned a very ill-timed practical joke. He, without my noticing, stuffed a sock in the back of my pants and told me, "Check your pants. I think you messed yourself...." I sprinted to the bathroom at the fastest speed one can manage on crutches, only to see the sock drop out when I pulled my underwear down. For years after that, my mother wondered why I fell for such an obvious gag. If she'd remembered the accidents that week and how paranoid I was, it would have made sense to her. More recently, I had severe stomach cramps. I figured there was no way I could get my diaper off in time, so I just released and enjoyed a rare opportunity to mess. At first. I took the diaper off to discover the poop had run up and back
  3. I had no cable from 2000 to 2010--when last I saw the channel in question it was called The History Channel, and it had respectable historical documentaries like David Halberstam's "The Fifties" and numerous ones about WWII: when I came back to it ten years later, it was simply "History," and I no longer recognized it. Why they continue to call it "History" puzzles me, unless they mean its best days are behind it.
  4. What a coincidence! The same thing happened to mine.
  5. Right now, I have overactive bladder, which is a form of incontinence to be sure. But I'd like to be closer to so-called "true" incontinence, in which I dribble a little bit steadily over a period of time rather than flood. I figure that would enable me to wet the bed consistently, nearly every night instead of just a couple of nights a week. I'd like to be able to sleep deeply, not continually awaken when I have the urge. (By "wetting the bed more often", I should clarify I want to
  6. I like it. If we did video and audio, it would enable us to add a face (and a voice) to the name.
  7. I'm more on the DL rather than the AB side of the line--diapers for me are therefore quite sexual. Overwhelmingly so. Yet the little bit of time I spend in little girl mode, playing with my dolls and plushies,
  8. I am probably the exact opposite of most folks here in that I was trained much later (close to age three). The only reason my mom didn't try sooner, she said, is that doctors led her to believe that because of my disability, I'd be difficult to train if I could be trained at all. The opposite turned out to be the case, she said. According to her, once I was trained I didn't wet once during the night (ironic considering I'm a bedwetter now.) Strangely, although I was trained late, and have other memories from that time, I don't remember my potty training at all. So upsetting I blocked it out, perhaps? I do remember being instilled with a dread fear of wetting or soiling myself that lasted into my teen years (when the thought of doing so suddenly became arousing), so maybe my mom went a bit overboard in her methods. Curiously. my mom kept me in rather thick training pants until I was about seven. Maybe I had more accidents than I remember?
  9. I don't think I mentioned this before, but I'm a side sleeper.
  10. I heard a lot of the earlier stuff as well, since my mother had late fifties/early sixties '45s. "Downtown" is the earliest contemporary one I remember, however.
  11. Merry Christmas to all those here who celebrate it. Tell me, Christine, did you add any new dolls to your collection?

  12. I'm more than willing to try a tiara if I can find one, but I am a definite "hair bow" girl and would really like to learn how to tie a hair ribbon properly.
  13. Question--I know using bleach on cloth diapers is not usually recommended, but would it be OK if it's a non-chlorine bleach? My diapers are beginning to look a bit...well,

Besides, it would do a lot to eliminate some of the lingering odors....

Go to fetware dot com & consult the "Product Care" section. They have extensive information for exactly these kinds of questions

  14. Time was, I would have recommended Ammens medicated powder. It works faster in clearing up diaper rash than any powder I've ever seen.
  15. While I haven't had any close calls where my diapers are concerned, I did have one yesterday evening in which my neighbor almost caught me with my pacifier. She'd come over to give me some groceries (she goes to local food pantries and gives me part of what she takes home). I stared at her with an obvious "deer in the headlights" look, I guess, because she asked what was wrong. I said, "Uh...you surprised me. I wasn't expecting you," which was true enough.
  16. My guess is, considering that he cleans motel rooms, you were one of the least surprising things he's seen....
  17. You're one of the few people I know who remembers New Zoo Revue. The songs could sometimes be rather irritating, but I couldn't help but like it.
  18. You know what's on my Christmas wish list? An online

No, I don't mean anything like a nursery, though that would be nice. I mean like a cloth diaper service, a service that will either supply you with freshly laundered diapers once or twice a week, or at the very least wash ones that you provide.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about--the "diaper cleaner" segment of this program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7hAyCZokJE. I wish there were an online list of places like that, that wash diapers for both adults and babies.

I can see how that might be a good service

  19. I think you're greatly underestimating the imagination of little girls. If they can particularize, say, a Strawberry Shortcake doll or a plush Smurfette, they can do it with just about anything. Would the "Chatty Cathy" (or the boy's counterpart, "Chatty Brother")
  20. Yesterday I had one of those "questionable" days. I had one wetting that I was at least half-awake for, then fell into a deeper sleep. When I woke up, my diaper was soaked to the point that the moisture had wicked up my nightshirt. I don't think it was a matter of my first wetting spreading. I was quite clearly wetter than I'd been initially, but cannot prove that it was due to wetting in my sleep.
  21. I'm afraid I have to say clean. Granted, I fantasize about messing, but would rather not deal with the mess (like I was forced to do
  22. Not really, because I'm pretty open about wearing diapers. What people don't know is
