People sue hospitals all the time for there own stupidity , like trying to go to bathroom when they shouldn’t they fall and get hurt or there on medication that impairs there balance , or even some Darwin Award physically disabled who can’t walk but still try . As soon as you are self identified or it’s gleaned from a doctors note in your chart as incontinent or bed wetter,they will happily diaper you or during admission if the ask would you wear a diaper ? And you don’t blow a gasket and get offended thexwill happily diaper you .,they always know you’re safe in bed and always know how your bowel or bladder is functioning based on changing your diaper . And should you need a change before they think you do ring the bell ,and let them know .diapers & hospitals are like peanut butter and jelly ,made for each other .

Anyone who can see doesn’t even have to come in as there is always extra cases of diapers ,boosters ,chux ,catheters , gloves, drain bags on my porch , every couple of days there’s a couple of loads of cloth diapers on the line . The most simple minded person on earth would easily identify me as diaper dependent.

Your probably gonna laugh , there’s a nice additional 60% off on clearance items at Eddie Bauer , so I bought some inexpensive pants on clearance for dirt cheap they are EB Resonance Training Pants of course I buy a size larger to accommodate my diaper , the sales girl said you don’t look that big and my aide said trust him ,”I change his diapers and sometimes they are enormously swollen , like he’s got a raccoon in his pants “. I let you know if they miraculously train me not to use diapers.

Diapers aren’t your choice, they are an adaption to live your best life . You can’t live your best life if you’re married to someone who denies a basic medical fact . If she is making this into “me or the diapers” you don’t have a decision to make ,as she has already made it. you want real love , get a dog ! my late partner , would do anything I asked that he was trained to do to help me . What he never did was put conditions on love & acceptance or see me as anything less than a whole person . If a dog can do that , your potential wife should also . Breaking up is hard , I spent the last years of my life as an able bodied person alone , why? Because she didn’t want a guy with a disahility in a few years , sucks but true , move on this is not the woman of your dreams now or later , sorry to say it but it’s 3H time Hurt,Heal & then Hunt for a spouse who accepts you as you are , that includes your diapers , because real love doesn’t include asking you to change in anyway .

It doesn’t matter what health issues you have , you have no choice you have to play the cards your dealt . the only thing worse then a treatable medical condition is making yourself miserable or not fully participating in your life because of it. Attaching (emotional disorder)shame or embarrassment to a physical disease or disorder you do nothing but make the situation worse and more of burden ( in many cases the emotional suffering people inflict on themselves is torture compared to the reality of the physical ailment ) . you may feel alone , your not you are but one of many ( considering I have diseases that are so rare I am literally the only person known to be alive on earth to have them ) makes me a somewhat defacto expert on not catastrophising a physical problem into a mental one as well . Using and wearing diapers in the grand scheme of things isn’t romantic , fun , or inspiring in anyway , however it has got to be all of those things compared to say liver cancer or dead . so please folks reconsider allowing physical stuff to become mental stuff . It’s not worth it , it’s like banging your head against the wall , feels amazing when you stop !, so please never start , connecting emotions to physical health issues .

My first scope was so long ago I got the whole IV martini ( for me due to allergies and other conditions , the “fun drugs” that people get for procedures aren’t able to be used on me , they use a 6 drug combination on me that most people can do “milk of amnesia “ Propfol and be good ) and the lidocaine lube . they generaly don’t sedate patients anymore for cystoscope , as it’s not necessary, there’s weirdness in procedures people get sedated for colonoscopy not because it’s very painfull or traumatizing , they do it so the doctor doesn’t have to take time or explain what’s happening to a sensitive patient , basicly they can easily do 4-5 more procedures a day on sedated patients and maximize the revenue stream for the room , more customers in less time when patients are sedated, also you get to add additional billing for anesthesia the cost of doctors time the drugs,recovery room and staff , another nurse to monitor that your breathing etc . Anyway getting bladder scoped is a very easy well tolerated procedure , I frequently yell at my doctor that he’s a “screen hog” if he’s boldly going like Star Trek were men don’t , I want to go also ( your guts are interesting to see and basicly painless so watch the screen and get the whole nickel dog & pony show ) watchful waiting on prostate issues is the norm . Medication to shrink it and yearly PSA , there are only a couple of types of aggressive cancer that has to be aggressively treated , most prostate cancers are so slow growing that men can have prostate cancer for 20 years and die of old age without worrying about the cancer . So try not to cause yourself too much anxiety over potential for cancer , trust me if there’s a reason to “panic” and intervene in cancer , you’ll be the second to know because your doc is going to tell you .

If you’re going to play with catheter insertion practice , you can save yourself some money by buying Red rubber boil able catheters you boil them for 15 minutes and let them cool and dry between sessions . When I first started cathing disposables weren’t common and we had to do the sterilizing and lubing ourselves between uses . That’s until big insurance bean counters figured out how much they spent on care & antibiotics from people not properly maintaining their catheters and technique and got UTI .

I have a dozen different medical conditions ( some major some minor)that can cause Incontinence or worsen incontinence , non of my doctors have any interest in going down the rabbit hole and trying to attribute the incontinence to anyone thing or multiple things . Everybody is happy with Neurogenic bladder/bowel , incontinence , functional incontinence ,BPH. And I would certainly not want to unpack the armored cars full of money for all the redoing of testing and all the hours it would take ( I am sure somewhere out there some corrupt hospital executive / lab owner would love to do it and pad the bill on few million dollars worth of non existent unrelated unneeded un performed tests to enrich themselves) and I honestly think they would conclude it was a fools errand , I have long ago accepted being diapered as ordinary part of my normal life . And honestly there is almost nothing important or completely benign activity that happens in this world that can’t be politely paused or ended with my diaper needs changed . Even my aide uses it , run into some dude she went to high school with who she hasn’t seen in 10 years but wants to try and get in her pants , suddenly my diapers about to rupture it’s so full ?

I wear rubber bloomers or Protec briefs over diaper , followed by thermal underwear and onesie to lock it all down.

Master bedroom is a nursery my bed is an adult crib changing table. I am fully diaper dependent and those diapers don’t change themselves my days are spent restrained in a wheelchair / high chair , I need more care than the average toddler, most moms can control what there kid does on there lap , I am full size 170 pound adult , I don’t eat baby food so my food has to be well prepared taking into consideration I have swallowing disorders and can easily choke now on the bright side my aide is a good bartender pretty expert at making things I like to drink , she’s also realy good about” medication management “ensuring she gives me all my record medications and if I am being a fussy little prick having a bad day , she will tame the beast by feeding me , that always brightens my day , because hidden in the food was an edible of some kind a friend of hers makes that are like 4 times stronger than normal, and of course her way of telling me is making sure I am freshly diapered and all my restraints are comfortable and buckled up for my ride . I get fucked up , hazy, lazy, mellow . and seriously funny imagine a toddler drinking bourbon high as a kite watching “family guy” or “futurama” . If you haven’t read about me I take bowel medication before each meal so not going is not happening and bourbon increases my urinary output, so I am destroying that diaper ,

I have an aide she changes me every 4 hours when she catheterizes me ( my bladder doesn’t fully empty regardless of Incontinence . Those are my base changes , I am rapidly cleaned and changed each time I mess but that kinda changes daily I take medication 1 hour before food that requires my bowels move so if I am tired and sleep in or can’t sleep so I am up early changes when I eat and when I take medication and that changes when I fill my diaper . My bowels and bladder seldom consult each other. It would be great to have a medication that could require complete emptying of my bladder the way my bowel does .. then again as it is my diaper or my aide controls emptying , I just lay here and it happens .nothing would really change if a medication did that . I would still requires mature adult supervision of activity and frequent diaper changes to live .

I can’t but my aide is pretty good at it , since I have been unable to shower for many years meaning all my baths are bird baths/ bed baths wipes and waterless soap and shampoo., haven’t had a shower or immersion bath in tub in 13 years .

When I first lost continence , I had ARF absolutely no need to use the bathroom or urge to pee for 5 days , so it’s completely possible , on the 5 th day my bladder and body decided to complexly empty in my sleep, I literaly didn’t wet the bed I got the entire room and hallway in one shot .

100% not fussy,whatever color my aide puts on me , is fine with me , I have white, black, blue , pink., purple , green tie dye I have color matching and contrasting covers and a splendid selection of various style onesies . All my clothes are modified for ease of access to diaper area onesies pull up pants PPs diapers pull down , I don’t just use diapers I also have epilepsy so got liquid rectal suppositories to stop seizures that inserting is time of the essence , sometimes it doesn’t go well and they put me in a coma until seizures stop, so there’s my normal aide who cares for me and then those known only to god who cares for me well I am heavily sedated , even unconscious I still potty , my favorite diapers are the ones that don’t leak .

My aide can take a sip of milkshake and in 5 minutes is “poop visovious”, when she’s getting my medications she wears an apron and gloves to load and administer my Lactulose before every meal, she’s not in a big hurry to find out what it will do to her . She changes my diapers ,so she did the dose titration until the consequences my doctor wanted were achieved .

I don’t have a say in regards to diaper filling , once my medication and some food are taken , messing is the required result , all poop is swept out of bowels 5X’s a day , I can’t add to the mess once it happens because there’s nothing left in the rectum, however given time the medication next dose is already onboard acting and will again require compliance .and exit in a large soft stool

If we are mentally I’ll we have therapy medication and diapers ,there’s no cure for a hate filled heart save the occasional bullet in the head , but I don’t recommend that as a solution for anything or anyone .

I realize she is disparaging and ignorant and her opinion and attitude sucks , my question is who is she and why does her reckless ill informed attitude/opinion matter ? We can go a million places and find crap summaries about diaper wearing using . Why is this moron important as 1 million and one .

A normal high fiber diet with a 17 gram dose of Mirilax or generic and either sorbitol or lactulose 45 ML 1 hour before each meal it regulates the consistency to soft serve and you will have no ability to retain stool and can expect a full diaper 5 X’s a day ,that’s the regimen my doctor has me on , and since I don’t have sensation the medication thinks I am ignoring it and works overtime until your bowels release , so if you can feel an urge and stifle it, it guarantees a violent uncontrollable mess sooner .the medication label says 3+ soft formed movements a diaper has a hell of a lot more resistance than a bowl of water so it goes from soft formed to exploding . Normally about 2 hours from the time you started eating is when the “ encouragement “ starts ,unless you’re super human within the next hour you will mess .
