Well, I do not turn 56 until this July. I have been profoundly urinary incontinent since I was 21 and I reached puberty at age 12. Thus I started out dealing with my period during the day when I was not wearing a diaper. When I reached puberty I also reverted to bedwetting so I wore diapers for naps and to bed. When I was on my period I simply wore a diaper over my tampon. When I lost my daytime control I wore a diapers to deal with pee plus a tampon. Since I reached menopause I no longer need tampons, but I keep them near in case I have a heavy flow.

Somehow I missed this survey when it started. Sorry about that. Let me explain that I am profoundly urinary incontinent. I use AB play as a coping strategy so I can at least have some fun with diapers I wear 24/7. Because of my medical condition, when I am awake I rarely wear the same diapers as long as 6 hours, even when playing as an AB. When I am sleeping at home I wear a diapers with 8 hour capacity. Those are gauze/Birdseye sets covered by pull-on thin vinyl panties. The diapers consists of a 33" square 2-ply gauze kite folded to fit me. Inside that I use 1, 2 or 3 Gerber Birdseye infant prefolds as soakers. The kite-fold is held by pins. When I am playing as an AB I wear similar gauze/Birdseye pinned diaper sets. I have found that disposables do not put me in my AB mood. Most of the time when I am away from home I am in my responsible adult mode, so I wear the most discreet disposable possible. Since they reached the market in early 2014 my usual diaper is a GoodNites Tru-Fit Girls L/XL. Those consist of a washable, re-usable stretchy panty with a waterproof pocket and disposable insert able liners without a waterproof layer, so they are biodegradable. I can slide Tru-Fit down to poop or even pee into a toilet. I can change the insert without undressing. Wearing Tru-Fit does not put me in my AB mood.

Although I was officially toilet trained before I turned 3, my bladder was tiny and over active. Mom nicely asked me to wear just-in-case diapers on trips, as did my older sister Penny, 5 years older. She still needed trainers with a folded Curity gauze diaper inside Gerber vinyl panties until she started 5th grade. Penny told me she wore diapers to school until the end of 1st grade. I started school when I was 4, wearing just-in-case diapers. Since I hardly ever wet, by that Thanksgiving I only wore trainers without a soaker with Gerber panties. For 2nd and 3rd grades I wore trainers without vinyl panties. Beginning 4th grade I wore ordinary cotton panties, even after I reverted to bedwetting when I was 12. For university pre-law I only wore a disposable for extra long classes, such as moot court. During the summer between pre-law and lawschool I lost my day control, so since then I have needed diapers of some kind 24/7. Our youngest sister, Missy, never gained night control so she has always wore diapers to bed. She wore trainers with a soaker and Gerber pantis to school until she learned to pin on gauze diapers at age 10. Missy is the tallest and most beautiful of my sisters. She never told me about being teased. We shared a room until I moved to university.

Between 6:30 PM when I get home from my office until 5 AM when I leave for my office I use 4 or 5 pinned-on gauze diaper sets. On weekends I frequently also wear gauze diapers during the day. Of course my gauze diapers are covered by vinyl pull-on panties. On work days I wear GoodNites Tru-Fit consisting of a washable snug stretchy panty with a waterproof pocket and disposable liners which do not have a waterproof layer so they are bio-degradable. Those liners can last 6 hours but they cost so little that I change them when convenient, using 4-5 per day.

In July 1976 I turned 12, reached puberty and reverted to bedwetting. That was not a huge surprise for me because my Mom, her mother and all her sisters were urinary incontinent. When I was 7 my older sister Penny had reverted to bedwetting. Despite the efforts of many medical professionals I have never regained night bladder control. In June 1985 I also began loss of daytime bladder control.

Alex, thanks so very much for the excellent update. Of course I have been speculating how things would go with Allison in charge of Abby as well as the younger kids. It was merciful to hand spank Abby over her pull-up. It could be that was more effective than bare-bottom with the hairbrush. For Abby a hand spanking must seem very childish. Thanks again. I know you are writing a lot of stories, so as much as I love all of your stories, FEAR OF MISSING OUT has special place in my heart.

As I have shared many times, when I was a kid both of my parents were very much anti-punishment, especially spanking. Then in June 1976, as I turned 12, our family moved to Iowa so our dad could attend management training. In our So California community hardly any of the kids we knew were spanked and our school system did not use corporal punishment. Iowa was different. All the schools used a lot of corporal punishment and every kid we met was spanked or worse at home. Our Mom noticed that the Iowa kids were better behaved than my 2 brothers, 3 sisters and me. Still they did not spank us. During the year we were in Iowa Mom's youngest sister and her husband bought the house across the street. Aunt Betsy was a big believer in spanking first! Our Mom took notice. Our oldest sister Penny was a high school senior in Iowa and got swats at school many times. Penny was 18 when we returned home. She babysat for Aunt Betsy's 3 kids. Aunt Betsy caught Penny misbehaving and spanked her bare bottom with a hairbrush. I was then 13. I knew I deserved to be spanked, so I screwed up my courage and asked Aunt Betsy to spank me. She did so bare bottom with her hairbrush. Then she drove me to a beauty store to buy me a hairbrush, as she had done previously with Penny. I shared a room with our youngest sister Missy; Penny shared a room with Ruth, the sister between Missy and me. Penny kept her hairbrush on her bedside table. I kept my hairbrush on my bedside table. Just before I turned 14 Mom decided spanking worked. She bought hairbrushes for Ruth and Missy. By then our older brother had graduated from high school and joined the USMC. Our Dad bought a school-style paddle for use on Ed, who is a bit more than a year my junior. Ed's paddle hung on his wall. I have been happily married since 1991. My husband dislikes spanking with a hairbrush. I keep a leather strap on my bedside table. Fair is fair, so my husband keeps a heavy Mason Pearson hairbrush on his bedside table. The implements we use for pleasure are stored in our closet. Our Spank-O-Matic machine and its implements stays in a spare bedroom.

Wow, Les, ME AND MUM is a marvelous story. I think Dave's Mum is pragmatic. I'm not in the least worried about her, or a real life situation like this. It is hardly a secret that growing up in my family we often wore just-in-case diapers. Well before I was born our mom was urinary incontinent. I was toilet trained before I was 3, but my bladder was tiny and over active. My sister Penny is five years older. By the time I was four Penny wet far more often than me. Funny thing is the brother between Penny and me never needed a diaper. However my other brother, Ed, is only a year my junior. Ed continued to wet his bed often enough that he was diapered nightly until he was nearly 11. Ed also day wet often enough that he preferred to be diapered as soon as he was home from school until he was nearly 10. Needless to say, I am fascinated what the future hols for Dave and his Mum!

Alex, those words have made me super happy! I have adored your stories for ages. As with my own stories I avoid naming favorites. That being said, FEAR OF MISSING OUT strikes a familiar chord for me. I have been in a funk since last November when Chapter 19 did not appear. Over the first 18 chapters I came to love Susan, Aunt Lisa, Cousin Alison and even that scamp Abie. In my real life I share many traits with Abie: we both have significant bladder control issues; we both were teenagers when we first got spanked; we both have an aunt and her daughter living near by. My Aunt Betsy is ten years younger than my Mom, who started out strongly anti-spanking; Her oldest child Carole is a girl six years my junior. After I had seen Betsy spank Carole for the third time in less than a week, while she was crying it out with her nose in a corner I hugged her and told her she had my love and sympathy. Carole's reply shocked me: "Angela, your behavior shocks me. I don't deserve your sympathy because I know Mommy did the right thing when she spanked me. I misbehaved so I deserved this spanking. If I were your mother I'd have started spanking you when you were a toddler. Maybe then you wouldn't have become such a brat. Trust me, when I'm a mother I will spank my kids even if other kids in the neighborhood do not get spanked! Now leave me alone so I can use my Corner Time thinking about why my bare bottom just experienced Mommy's hairbrush!" Fortunately that day I was wearing a just-in-case diaper because I wet as Carole was scolding me.

Ok, however the country in which Medellin is located is spelled Colombia. BTW, my experience has been that citizens of Colombia take offense when it is misspelled Columbia.

Hi Little Sherri, Pampers did slowly introduce the factory installed sticky tabs in early 1972, but they were not available nation-wide until September. In any case that town where we stopped was north of Fresno, CA. We had often driven through it going to Yosemite National Park. In 1976 my Mom's youngest sister, our Aunt Betsy, and her husband bought the house across the street from us. Her older kids were too large for Pampers so wore pinned gauze diapers on trips, as did Aunt Betsy. By then Pampers had tabs, but Betsy always started off by not using the tabs and using diaper pins, since those could be removed to allow re-use of a diaper that still had capacity,

Growing up I usually pooped once a day and that was shortly after getting up in the mornings. Even on trips I did not wear diapers to bed until I reverted to bedwetting at puberty in 1976 when I turned 12. On a trip I would get up, poop in the toilet and then pin on a diaper for the driving. I cannot remember pooping a diaper on a trip. However, in 1972 just before my youngest sister Missy turned 3 she had a serious case of near liquid poop which used up the entire supply of gauze diapers. We had to stop driving and check into a motel to wash the soiled diapers. While my oldest sister Penny and I used the washing machine, our Mom and Dad drove a few blocks to a supermarket to buy disposable Pampers. That was before Pampers had sticky tabs, They sold rolls of sticky separately, but since Mom was anti-disposables she did not know that. Instead she used regular diaper pins to fasten Missy's Pampers. Before we left the next morning Mom took Missy with her to my more Pampers. Missy knew about the rolls of tape because she had watched TV commercials. Once home after Missy was better our family never bought disposables until 1981 when I was moving to university. I wore Attends adult disposables on the flight to university and on every trip after that.

Timmy, that sounds reasonable to me. It is much healthier for bedwetters to wear diapers than tp have a lot of their body in contact with urine. Until I reached puberty I did not need diapers in bed because I always woke up in time to use a toilet. However because my bladder was tiny and over-active my Mom always nicely asked me to wear just-in-case diapers because even though I needed a toilet in the car there was no way to reach a toilet in time.

After I was 'officially' toilet-trained, my Mom kept me in cotton training panties because my bladder was tiny and over-active. Even when I was awake I had enough accidents that my trainers were covered by Gerber vinyl panties until the summer after 3th grade ended. From then until I started high school I did not have to wear the Gerber panties, but I still had to wear trainers. Of course for car trips longer than 45 minutes and events where finding a toilet quickly would be difficult, Mom would nicely ask me to wear just-in-case diapers, Those diapers were classic Curity 21x40 gauze held with diaper pins. I was not allowed to pin on my own diapers until I reached puberty at age 12. Mom assumed before then I would jab myself with a diaper pin. Learning to use those I only jabbed myself one time. This is such a sweet story. I sure Littlewetnite either continues this or writes many more storied about training pants and diapers.

Unfortunately the survey does not allow multiple answers. I always wear a diaper to bed because I have no bladder control. Most of the time to bed I wear pinned gauze diapers. When traveling I wear disposables with vinyl panties. Usually I wear a Onesies to ensure my diaper stays snug. If it is cold I cover the top of my Onesies with a shirt.
