  1. @BabyJune: Don't you just love something like "ghoti".... I'll explain (if needed) later....
  2. @WBxx: Thank you. I think it is the more "front facing" that give me the issue, combined with the side seam being 1.5" shorter. Kin's pants that I've tried in the past (in the default configuration) don't provide me the coverage I need.... The one you reference may have a better fit based on the pictures on the web site. This item also lists as higher in the waist, so might fit me better.
  3. @WBxxI'm curious on your thoughts on Babykins / Kins Plastic pants. The limited amount of items I've tried from Kins were not cut like Comco's or VI Product's plastic pants. I found their cut too short through the side seam length and "leg" cut, leading a a more Bikinie cut (but not that bad) than what I was looking for and what I'm needing -- resulting in leaks near the front at the lower leg openings. If they have some better cuts on some of their protective pants (at a reasonable price) I'd like to know the difference and how to tell the different cuts apart on their web site. I'm also not in favor of the spamming Kins does of collected e-mail addresses. Maybe a missed a check box in something I had to handle during a previous order. Fortunately, the spamming is to an account I set up for those type of folks.
  4. @jonbearab: Your leak issue is probably related to your protective pant size / cut. If VI Product or Comco plastic pants were still around, I'd be recommending them. Find something with a full, and high waste cut that fits you.... At least that's my thoughts...
  5. @Jack Jack I finally had a reason to have one done. First, I have a high threshold before feeling pain, so I'm not the best guide concerning pain. There was a numbing gel used, and for me, I didn't feel anything from the scope going in or out. I don't know if things got stretched during a previous Rezūm procedure to avoid issues with size of equipment used, but for me there was no issue for this procedure. The numbing gel is local only. There was no specific prep required prior to the procedure (however it is standard procedure to start every visit at my Urologist with a Urinalysis, so relieving the bladder is near the start of the visit. However my doctor is old school and takes what ever time he needs with each patient, so things can run on the long side and from comments made, I believe my bladder was fuller than the doctor expected at the time of scoping. As a male, I was on my back. Having worked on software simulating various minimally evasive procedures, but not this procedure, I appreciated the guided tour my urologist gave me during the exam, which actually provided a needed distraction from watching what he was doing. (I could see the TV image of what he was examining.)
  6. @rusty pinsMy primary issue is Nocturnal Enuresis. If I get a good nights sleep and am not dehydrated, then I will likely not notice the issue till I wake up in the morning with a wet diaper. However, If I'm having trouble sleeping, I can become semi-conscious of what is going on, and the mind may be trying to wake me up. At this point, since I expect to wake up wet (if properly hydrated) I'm unlikely when at home to hold off wetting while attempting to wake.... On the other hand, if my sleep is disturbed, especially from external causes, or initially sleeping in different place from normal, I'm likely to wake up and depending on timing finding I need to get to the bathroom before I can get back to sleep.... And if I wake up with an already wet diaper needing to further relieve the bladder, I usually will without further thought / consideration.
  7. We are now in the window where ABC (American Broadcasting Company, for @oznl, not ABC - Australian Broadcasting Company) has this episode available for free viewing. The pitch is the last (4th of 4) one of the episode. Interesting.... They do mention eventually getting into the adult diaper market.....Maybe Northshore would go in with them when they do that, but who knows.... Didn't hear any mention of patents.... hmmm.... Any way, for any one interested, should view this within the next two weeks or so before it goes back behind ABC's paywall.
  8. I will admit that Tykables does charge on the premium side. If you follow them, they also basically round all their base prices to the nearest $5.00 (US). As a result, I believe you will typically see fewer price increases over time from Tykables, but when the price does increase, it is tends to be noticeable and you can probably get less expensive at that point from a competitor. I suspect that their prices are on the edge of being able to find a seamstress that could provide equivalent if done in quantity. I will admit, I can afford Tykables. I also mainly use cloth diapers, so I'm not typically spending money on diapers except for special trips where handling laundry might be an issue. Fortunately, my issues at this time are # 1 and not #2. Quality wise, I usually like the quality of their products. When it comes to t-shirt / onsies, I find their product a bit better than ABU's. I haven't tried some others since I've found something that works for me. I'm still not in favor of their change from snaps to Velcro on a chunk of their clothing. If they do that to the white t-shirt / onsies and rompers, I'll probably be expanding my evaluation of other manufactures.
  9. I see my favorite supplier (Tykables) is back out of most sizes in white.... Little bit better size options in their white "rompers" that I use as an alternate to their T-Shirts (onsies). This is why I buy from them when they are in stock....
  10. @Babygeebee @Baby Toni38: While reactions to posts may have a minor impact, it is basically a counter of how may posts (public or private) you have made. If you go to your account's status information page, you can see a count down counter of how many more posts you need before you make the next status. The first two or three levels are passed through fairly quickly. Each level requires more posts before reaching the next level.
  11. @zzzz50: You just need to wait about 7 days after the initial airing before the episode gets released from being behind the pay wall. Also, I don't know how many weeks it is free (5?) before it gets put back behind the ABC paywall. Since this aired on 2023/01/07, try viewing after 2023/01/14.
  12. @kasarberang: Finally found the option with Proton Mail to use keys I generate.... Haven't changed keys at this point as I don't believe I need to get "that secure" right now.....
  13. @kasarberang Agreed. Thanks for the discussion. I'm long overdue getting rid of my prior email provider. I appreciated the comments and discussion on this thread as it more quickly lead me to better services.... Again, thanks.
  14. @kasarberang: I've now looked at Posteo secure mail system. It is definitely a better product than ProtonMail for some one needing as strong a secure privacy protecting email service as they can get. In my opinion, I don't "need" that level of security..... I agree that someone needing it, this is a better option and someone needing it would work through the additional issues to make it secure. I'd have to look closer, but their "promise" of blocking email not delivered of TLS based connections I suspect would not be correct for my planned usage (if enabled), as I'm using this via a mail forwarding server. For those going direct, it probably works as advertised since most email is sent direct based on DNS information these days and not forwarded through a third party system, unless you are with in like a company subdomain structure..... And I can understand the help in blocking spam this way.... So while this is a nice feature, it could block communication that I don't want blocked. Ok, I don't have to activate the feature. And while they allow one to test the setup for a short duration for free, I'd want to test some things that require a (very minor) payment...... Since I think ProtonMail better lines up with what I'm after, I'm still favoring that even though it is "less secure".
  15. @kasarberang Thanks. I agree that none of this is really secure. And I was aware of the French court case from reading reviews.... With ProtonMail, I'm moving to a non US server, which means ALL email sent to me, and probably most (if not all) email I send out will cross the US boarder, so for a brief bit, under the eyes of NSA. (And probably appreciated by NSA better than what I'm doing now, since US based servers should be more hassle for them to get the needed court orders to spy on US citizens, among other things... Ok, so it falls more to the FBI at that point.) Since e-mail (basic) protocol is not encrypted, well.... The base messages can be captured if one is being targeted..... Ok, a lot of servers have started to run SMTP over a TLS layer, so it isn't as bad as it used to be. And the link from ProtonMail to me appears to be secured... Thanks for the comments on Posteo. After setting up the free account on ProtonMail, it is obvious that some keys have to be stored on their server for how things are set up.... And the only real security is your account password.... I do like the option to add VPN w/ some tor support, which would be nice to add, which Proton's paid accounts support. And if I went to ProtonMail, I can tell I would want some features of the paid support, so I would probably go all the way in.... Currently testing with their free account. Based on your comments, I need to investigate Posteo further. And while Germany is in 14 eyes, from some reviews it is less of an issue than some others. And agreed, being in Switzerland doesn't make the legal side immune from digging in. I actually doubt any location is totally free from such attacks.... Unless I'm running my own system on my own hardware with a self destruct capability..... Not something I care to go to......
  16. My comment from above: From the comments it looks like at least some keys are stored on my personal computer Based on setting up the free account, correct. The only thing they are probably doing based on how the free account setup went and their claims, is that they must be storing a public / private key pair that they generate with the "private" key encrypted with your account password, probably salted with other personal info you enter. Since access to old e-mail can be lost by changing passwords, you have to set up a (new) recovery key (that you keep) every time you change the password to the account.... Interesting strategy, but that means keys are stored on their server for the encrypted mail, even if the decryption key is encrypted by the user's password.... That leaves decrypting the private key to other methods..... (i.e. user coercion, government seizure or personal computer, or ? etc.) I probably shouldn't touch this statement in this thread..... Any contact tracing requires some sort of database and opt in.... How anonymous this is depends on how much you trust the folks handling it..... MAC addresses, etc., are supposed to be hardwired in the hardware.... and unique..... But that isn't true in current equipment, but most won't understand this level of what I'm talking about....
  17. @DiaperedJoe While a piece of me wondered if you would make it, another piece of me says to not let a failure like this to stop you from trying. For now, I'd wear some sort of protection that still supports properly getting to the bathroom when you can and covers you if you don't make it.... Best wishes.
  18. @kasarberang @Kawaharu I've been reviewing this thread as I'm getting too discussed with my current e-mail provider. And if I'm going to make the switch, I figure I'd add security. In reviewing Posteo, they are located in Germany, which means, Germany is part of 14 eyes.... As such, I think I trust Proton over Posteo at this point.... In any case, I need to move my main personal forwarding e-mail address because the current provider is blocking too much. And if I'm going to move, I'm planning to move everything off the current provider. It started as my ISP's service and then got sold off, and then sold off again.... : ( Probably go with a 2 year plan of Proton Unlimited which is 40% off through the end of the year.... Handles eMail, VPN, calendar and some cloud disk space.... Supposedly all securely.... From the comments it looks like at least some keys are stored on my personal computer so I need to dig in how to securely back that up.... I'm also considering adding a personalized DNS name, so I'm also willing to hear about DNS providers.... Open to other current comments on this.
  19. @oznl: I thought Australia use Celsius not Fahrenheit. That's very warm (in Celsius)... <GRIN> Thanks for the US (Fahrenheit) translation.....
  20. As to bladder issues, yes. As I've joked with my Urologist, if I this was just machinery, I'd replace the control system and the bladder and be fine.... Not going to happen in this life time.
  21. @Little Spider Sounds like you need to get into a urologist (or at least your primary care doctor to get started on checking certain things out) and get things checked out. Most males should be having prostates at the age you list...... Take care....

    Hotel privacy

This is why you need to be very careful about what you accept for root certificate authorities -- so you can detect the man in the middle and abort a session where you aren't properly end-to-end with the remote server you *think* you are talking to.... The intermediate proxies can't get proper certs to get around this, unless you are using something like the French Government's controlled root CA... @ozziebee: Ah.... One of the few people who would understand why I use (and require) both client and server certificates signed under a private root CA I run for securing connections where I have some control on both ends -- with out a lengthy explanation of what I'm doing. And yes, I've aborted at least one user's connection due to a required corporate proxy - man-in-the-middle - or at least that is my best explanation why the user couldn't successfully connect, and they couldn't establish a proper connection due to corporate requirements.
  23. @DailyDi: Don't know if you have something like Shari's near you. I believe they will sell pie by the slice, even for take out. I do know they will sell whole pies to go..... Ah, and it looks like this is a regional restaurant, so maybe you don't have a good option near you.
  24. @DailyDi: Your note implies it is available in the "store". The link in your message works, but the link from the "Subscriptions" page is still an earlier year or something else.
  25. @DiaperedJoe: While I find some disposable diapers, such as possibly the MegaMax, have more issues getting a tape loose to NOT use the diaper when you can make it to the bathroom, over a vacation last year, I found the Tykables (Blue) Cames worked for me and as long as I wasn't trying to stretch the use to a second day (on the rare case I didn't use it at night), it worked out good to be able to release one top tab, pull things down to use the toilet, and then pull things up and re-attach the tab on the landing zone. I believe these are the hook and loop type tabs. Something like Molicare's two and only two tabs at each spot would be difficult to pull this off as you only get one second shot per tab. Megamax tapes with their landing zone are doable, but definitely inconvenient. I suspect you are going to need to figure this out for going back to work, because if you are doing full bladder releases without notice, I don't think you will find a pull up that won't leak on you. Based on how successful you were I seriously doubt you can retrain before having to be back at work on site. And yes, cloth might help in retraining, but would not be very easy to deal with once back in the office. Yes, now is a good idea. Especially if you want to use Tykables. They can go out-of-stock on short notice and then take months before getting an item you want back in stock. I think it has been better lately.
