I would rather stop writing than take payments in crypto if that's the suggested answer to the problem.

In other news my Patreon went the way of the dodo a few days ago. Fortunately I have been setting up alternatives in the meantime.

why doesnt someone file a class action or a group action suit? it seems to me that patreon isnt following their own terms of service, cancelling accounts that arent in violation.

Most likely they would lose, and it would be selfdoxxing. They don't let you file court cases using pseudonyms.

It's their website, they can scope it how they want so long as it doesn't violate recognuzed human rights grounds and being an ABDL doesn't fit into those grounds.

It may suck but the owners have the right to limit the type of content on their site.

They seem to be getting to people one by one. Princess Pottypants' page was removed yesterday, and she was one of the top earning writers on Patreon. By some strange twist I'm somehow still there despite having some of the most hardcore content, but expect that it's only a matter of days at most.

I was ahead of the curve.  They killed my account there a year or so ago. I JUST had time to sneak in and clear my earnings out before they shut me out.

I suspect a big part of this is with the US entering a new 5 year plan, there's a lot of emphasis on inhibiting certain obscure interests which can't be a good sign.

For those that didn't know, the US has 5 year plans for national development that start on years ending in 4 and 9 (ie, 1999, 2004, etc).  These have been more or less a thing since World War 2 but are rarely publicized.  Fit any substatial national investments or objectives to that timeframe and you'll see a pattern.

Robin's letter of 12/06/23 says that the site has zero tolerance for the sexualization of children and teenagers.  Taken literally, this means ages 18 and 19 would be off limits, whereas on this site they are considered adults.  Does anyone know what Patreon means by "teenagers?"  Has anyone here put up a story over there involving 18 and 19 year old characters in sexual situations?
