DiaperPony
I am very glad DD is adult only. The kids on ADISC are the reason I left that site. They had separate forums and such, but it dawned on me that I wanted nothing to do with any of it. Diapers are a sexual kink for me and I do not want to discuss that in the presence of children. Baby Brian
To clear up any confusion, let me lay out the reasons why children are not allowed on this site: The best reason yet. Link to comment

Nat
Old news So the site turned into a dump with nothing interesting Diaperpony knows now. Link to comment
Dill_Pickle
I found nothing diaper related on that site, so why send them there? Scarleteen is where DailyDi's "I'm not of age" button sends you. Link to comment
DiaperPony
Yeah I knew it went 18+, but there was no reason to return. Also, as a condition of leaving I had to agree that I would no longer be allowed an account there for any reason, so I can't return even if I wanted to. Link to comment
Eir
Daily Di! Thanks for having our back! I cannot even imagine the humiliation of having to explain to a judge, investigator, irate parent why we thought it was a good idea to interact with minors. Our "Diapers in the News" section is filled with people who interacted with minors and it went badly. I would not interact with children in any way that can remotely be misconstrued as sexual. Little BabyDoll Christine
Just 2 words: "Murphy" and "whirlpool" . That should be the end of it. Just what makes some people think it cannot happen to them, I have no idea. And watch how fast the kid will turn on you; "intergalactic speed" is not the half of it. It would put a 22nd century F-183 Aero-spatial Superiority Fighter; or a cat, to shame. Just don't: Period! Link to comment
Dill_Pickle
I would think it would be pretty hard to attack something like this, especially if it was the standard message sent to all underagers: Link to comment

It's not illegal to chat with minors in any country afaik The law border gets broken when you post naked pictures or set up a meeting in real life, without the parents consent Link to comment

This of course would take considerably more time and resources than DD is willing, or even could, provide. Link to comment
Dirty Diaper/Maxipad Lover
I can only assume that those who have no issues with having kids that are underage have no children of their own or if they do have children of their own they do not care if they associate with adults in a way that may be questionable. Baby Brian
Diaperwearntigger and others, I think you're misunderstanding my position on this issue. I'm in no way advocating minors on this site. I don't want minors on this site, and I've been very explicit about that in each of my posts. The entire reason this was being debated was supposedly because some people did respond to a minor even after reporting that person, and the thread was locked and left up as an example of such a situation. In that thread the minor asked several questions, including how he (I think it was a he,) could get diapers, which to me seems like code for "how can I shoplift diapers from a store without getting caught?" Keeping that in mind, I think that in addition to reporting the post, the members here should be able to at least offer up a boilerplate response to the effect of "save your allowance, walk or bike to the store, and don't steal them." My goal in that situation is to prevent the minor from comitting a crime, potentially costing a store/insurer money in the form of damaged merchandise, and potentially causing that minor to receive a juvinile criminal record that could lead to bigger problems later on. It's the same as trying to prevent minors from smoking cigarettes or huffing paint fumes. Link to comment
Nat
the problem are the kids with negligent/inept parents who aren't able to keep them out of places like this Link to comment
Rachel Emily
That's not true. I was a 15 year old minor sneaking on AB/L sites. I knew how to clear my history too and I would close the curtain so no one would peek in and see what I was in. Teens are smart and they can outsmart their parents, especially if the parents don't know how to use the internet or don't know how to view history. My mom finally figured out how to do it and I was then caught at 17. I am not sure what she did, my brothers discovered it and my uncle and told my mom about it and she started to look too. You can clear your history but it's still there elsewhere on the computer. I remember she went into folders and stuff and found stuff that was from the internet and because I hadn't gotten the chance to clear my history yet, she found the forum I went on and saw some of my posts. This was 12 years ago and she also saw who my online friends were. Link to comment
Nat
Pardon me for asking, but how did your mom react? I'm assuming not very well, but I don't know. I was grounded from the computer for 3 weeks for being secretive. She didn't approve of the sites and called them porn. Link to comment
rosalie.bent
It sounds like the problem is distilled down to ACCESS rather than INTERACTION. You cant stop minors from accessing the site, but nor can you stop them from the billions of hard-core porn sites on the net. They are issues in their own right, but THE ISSUE is about interaction between a minor and an adult on what is essentially an adult website. Link to comment
Dirty Diaper/Maxipad Lover
I (almost) hate to tell you, but minors are ALREADY here. They are called "guests". No matter how much you want to shield them from the real world, the real truth it that the world is real- and so it their access to it. You're better prepared to give them monitored access to the world than you are to try and hide it from them. When exposed to reality in a controlled manner you can actually control that exposure in a way that actually helps guide them. The alternative is to just let it all hit them at once when they turn 18 which nobody can be prepared for without actual preparation. Time to wake up to reality and realize it exists whether you like it or not! Oh, I know they're already here reading the forum as "guests," and I'm well aware that there's nothing we can do to prevent that. Those are the people who I've described as "intelligent delinquents," because they're smart enough to find a site like this, delinquent enough to ignore the "adults only" notice on the site, but also smart enough to look without joining. I'm not worried about that group of people because their not potentially putting themselves or the site in danger by joining it. The danger comes when a minor joins the site, and that's when I start to get concerned. The minor puts themselves in danger because they could interact with someone who shouldn't be anywhere near children, but they also put us in danger because Mikey has an obligation to keep known minors off of the site, and failure to do so could get the site shut down. (Guests aren't "known minors," even if a portion of them may be underage.) Link to comment
