  1. I normally wake up peeing, but today I started to have a bowel movement at the same time all I could do is let it finish and then head to the bathroom and change. Hopefully its not a regular issue but i have been having increasing number of bowel accidents so it may be at least im diapered 24/7 and have accepted my Ic issues including bowel issues if they happen as why stress what you can't control
  2. Bladder spasms are painful but are usually associated with urge incontinence (If I remember correctly), Remember the moto do no self harm. If your goal is to wear 24/7 and use your diaper your body will adapt over time and you will start to pee with out warning but it takes time there is no fast track to shrink your bladder and to constantly pee if there is no medical underlying issue. Just relax use your diaper when needed and let nature take its course. Just remember diaper dependancy can be for life in some cases even with out an underlying medical issue creating the need for diapers, I wear 24/7 for an OAB and actually now have an enlarged bladder, I have no regrets deciding to wear diapers 24/7 and have come to enjoy the benefits but I would stop wearing in a heartbeat if my urologist could eliminate my bladder issue.
  3. I was finally able to order a couple of cases of Megamax’s They started to ship in Canada right after I placed my end year order timing is everything I have to say they are a very comfortable and absorbent diaper they also seam to fit me better then my current diaper of choice so they may become my diaper of choice when I need to reorder in a few months or so.
  4. It takes a bit of time for your body to adapt to being padded when its hot but you will get use to it, Being incontinent I had no choice so no matter the temp Im padded just remember to change more often when out and about in the heat as I have found it makes it more comfortable to swap out a sweaty diaper on the really hot humid days
  5. I gave up the fight years ago and I have no regrets as I was increasingly not making it to the bathroom in time so the stress of trying was not worth it, I still try to make it to the bathroom for bowel movements but unfortunately even that is slowly changing as well as my unexpected movements happen more often. ( I have accepted my bladder IC issue and my increasing bowel issues) I cant change what’s happening so why stress it.
  6. Becoming a bed wetter even with ic issues can be a challenge Im dealing with an OAB and have been diapered 24/7 for 6 years now and I still rarely pee while asleep as soon as I start to wake up a bit my bladder releases. Just remember if you become a nocturnal bed wetter you stand a very good chance of peeing if you have a nap. I wish my body would adapt and let me pee while sleeping but so far not yet
  7. Last time we went down my diaper bag was a small sling bag (holds 2 to 3 Betterdry diapers) as it was light weight and easy to carry in the prior trips it was a full sized back pack that we attached to the back of my wife’s scooter so I did not have to lug it around the sling bag worked out the best.
  8. When we head down to Disney I use Betterdry diapers (Take more then you think you need) as I ran out on the last Day and still had to drive 2.5 days home. I also use large clear ziplock bags for each diaper in my diaperbag as it helps protect the diaper during the security bag check :). I had no issues carrying a small blunt pair of scissors and a roll of tape after explaining my need to use the tape to reenforce the tapes on my diaper (was told only use them when changing not out in the open in the park) Disney is very accommodating for medical needs, and the bag checks get easier to deal with if you relax and explain the bag contains medical supplies when they start the search (the never removed a diaper to expose it to the public. also let the hotel know you deal with incontinence issues and they will supply a bed protector for the mattress (at least they have the last few times we have requested I also use the disposal bed pads from walmart that stick to the sheets incase ai leak. Hope you have a fun safe trip Rob
  9. Hi Rory Sorry to hear you need to wear 24/7 but always remember you are not alone in dealing with bladder or bowel issues and needing to wear a diaper 24/7. Acceptance is key as is finding a diaper you can trust to do its job, its been 6 years for me so I have long since accepted my need to be diapered. I try to look on the bright side of things and if all that medically goes wrong with me is the need to wear a diaper then thats great as there are way worse medical conditions to deal with. Over time I have actually come to appreciate being in a premium diaper (Stuck in traffic, Bathrooms closed or busy) especially with the pandemic and most public bathrooms here in our area being closed. Being diapered 24/7 has not changed my life other then I now pack the most when we go on trips
  10. I would say it’s possible if you stretch or damage your muscle but it may only cause slight leakage over time, people do use but plugs in slowly increasing in size to help weaken the anal muscles. In rough sex it’s possible to do damage to your self, chances are if you are careful you will probably be fine but always remember its always a possibility to weaken or damage your anal muscle if you are not careful.
  11. Having a bowel accident in public is embarrassing but with a proper fitting premium diaper and once you have delt with a few it does get easier Ive unfortunately had a few ofer the last few years but I have come to terms with it and I have learned to trust my diaper to keep everything contained. When it happens I head to the bathroom to cleanup and change, and I try not to stress about it as there’s nothing ai can do to prevent an occasional bowel accident and there is no shame in having a medical issue.
  12. Agreed once you find the diaper that you can trust (Betterdry or Crinklz) for me it makes a world of difference when dealing with a bladder issue. I have also had great results with the Tykables cammies and Rearz new Hybrid diaper. Unfortunately there can be a lot of trial and errors when selecting a proper fitting diaper but once you find the right one you will find a taped diaper is the easiest way to manage your IC issue vrs a pull-up (easier to change, more absorbent and more comfortable).
  13. We are all here to help and support each other, I think its safe to say most of us were stressed about dealing with and talking about our incontinence issues at first but it does get easier over time.

    Tykables

My favourite Tykables is their cammies design as its the most adult looking diaper that is a fun diaper to wear for a change of pace from plain white diapers.
  15. Ive carried a diaper into a bathroom out in the open multiple times when it was easier then grabbing my diaper bag as when we travel I usually have bag of diapers they can be reached easily to refill my diaper bag. No one has ever batted an eye or said anything people simply do not notice or care if they do see your diaper. after 6 years I have long since stopped worrying about what people may or may not think and it does remove a lot of stress when I need to change
  16. I dribble occasionally but after 6 years of wearing 24/7 its still not a constant issue, some times I think it may be better to always be dribbling so my diaper has a chance to wick better and there would be less chances of leaks due to no more flooding.
  17. Your muscles can gain muscle memory IE constantly relaxed, but most times you can regain most if not all your control but there have been reports of people never regaining the control level they once had due to muscle atrophy. This is why Doctors don't recommend diapers when people first start dealing with diapers as any control they have left will quickly disappear if you simply use your diaper Im there myself I quickly lost my remaining control but all I really did in my case was excalerate my loss of control. My Bladder issue started with wet spots and mini surges and I quickly progressed into taped diapers from realfit for men, if you find your self still having issues after stopping wearing diapers and using at the slightest urge you should see your Dr and possibly an urologist.
  18. I would tell your family and close friends of your new medical issue when needed, it has made it way easier for me to deal with my Ic issues and not having to hide the fact I need to wear 24/7. When we traveled with a family friend I let her know as well as I always had my diaper bag with me every where we went and every time I went into the bathroom.
  19. I think its caused by heat being trapped in the diaper as I am experiencing the same thing as I no longer get a solid erection just stays soft for the most part. for me its an non issue as I am leaking less often and not getting solid erections when diapered is more comfortable over all. And I agree it could be an age thing as I am a few years ahead of you as I am approaching 60
  20. Acceptance of incontinence issues can make it easier to deal with, I gave up trying to make it to the bathroom years ago when my OAB kicked in and I was making it to the bathroom less and less times. I have no regrets with my decision and I quickly lost my remaining bladder control, I am now experiencing bowel issues on an increasing frequency but I am slowly coming to terms with that as well. Being diaper dependent is not fun but its livable and can be beneficial at times (Especially now with public washrooms closing again due to covid 19 increasing again. Its been 6 years now and diapers are simply a part of my daily life and I don't stress it Im use to my diaper being wet most of the time but it still drives me nuts when I use the washroom then put on a fresh diaper then minutes later im no longer in a dry diaper oh well its all part of dealing with ic issues and being diapered 24/7.
  21. Running water Cold breeze Sometimes an elevator (as soon as we start to move)
  22. When wearing a fresh clean diaper I think oh well there goes the dry diaper but other then that its a non event, however if I have a bowel accident then I worry as I head to the bathroom to clean up (I hate bowel accidents)
  23. At a out 50 to 60% or every 8 hours on average, but if my diaper starts to feel uncomfortable I change right away. and if I have a bowel movement I change as quick as possible
