Anybody know if she's OK? I tried to ask her privately, but it seems her (PM) inbox is full and will not accept messages. She was on and/or posting nearly daily since joining, now she hasn't been on here since Jan 24th. I know people come and go here, but her disappearance is kind of odd. Just curoious and hoping she's OK.

Good points above, especially the it's easier to find another job while employed instead of being out and begging for one. Two points; DO NOT give your current employer and co-workers any indications you are looking for a new job. Self protection. Here in the US, unless in a union, most people can be terminated for no reason. DO NOT give "two weeks notice" before leaving. I may be rambling here as I've seen and been through a lot in my 66+ years, so bear with me or move on. A slightly retarded janitor co-worker gave his two week notice at a factory we worked at. (I was in production.) He did his job well. We knew where to find him if needed. He would be located or paged over the PA, usually a couple times a day. After he gave notice, 'they' were paging him many times an hour to every minor and major cleanup that others should have handled. Point is, in my opinion, he was almost a crazy mess by the time he left. (I saw him at events some 30 years later, he's OK.) After seeing it happen to others there, I took a different turn to leaving. I asked for my two week vacation because "my uncle died." My boss refused so I told him I would not be in Mon to Wed (allowed berevement) which left Thurs & Friday as union open 'no report' days. I could have returned the following Monday with no penalty. A group of us ate lunch together, including the 'snitch' or boss's pet. I casually said it was my last day as I was starting a new job after the weekend. Don't know if the boss found out by the end of the day, but he was at least amicable when I had to see him weeks later to collect my final paycheck.

Sorry for your loss. I have had many cats that lived to their late teens to early 20's. Most have been creamated so they can still be "with" me. I can't see spending money on a pet grave and the associated costs. As I've said on other threads, I have two orange/white tabbys that do not get along but still find ways to sleep on either side of me. Now the've figured how to get under the covers. Beats my waking up with them on the covers and me feeling 'tied' to the bed

Make sure the "humane society" helps animals. The HSUS, (Humane Society of the US,) is a front for anti hunting, anti gun and other anti freedom issues, has no clinics, but has contributed large amounts to orgs that 'put down' immediately. The Detroit area fortunately has MARL, (MI Animal Rescue League,) and a few other non kill shelters that I can't remember. Check on those no kill shelters in your area. Donate and/or adopt if you can. My two boys, orange/white tabbies, were walk-ins through the cat door. They don't get alomg, but still sleep on either side of me. Another donation suggestion is Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester, MI. As the name says, they train dogs, and are a part of the Lions Club International charities. I assume they will take cash donations, but don't forget to donate old eyeglasses to your local Lions Club so they can be recyled to the needy.

Update... Joe was released yesterday. Police can only hold someone for 72 hours without chargiing them. Still odd circumstances.

Are you saying screw everybody if they can't put up with your bad spelling? Most browsers have built in spell checkers. USE THEM!!! Many also have grammar checkers, USE THEM TOO! I have no idea why you posted in all bold type. At the risk of being kicked or given a "time out:" for a percieved personal attack, you need to grow up and use proper spelling and grammar. There are 'preview' options to proofread a message, use them too! You come across as someone who is demanding we put up with your spelling and grammar errors rather than educating yourself.

Yes, it has also made national news, just look up Jane Bashara murder and Joe Gentz's involvement. The alleged confessed (murderer?[Joe]) accomplice has worked for me, although I haven't had contact with him since his dad died some three years ago. His dad kept him in line as he is a couple bricks short of a load or one or two cans short of a six-pack. I'm OK, just that as more is released, I have to wonder who is pulling his strings. He has a 9-10 yr old daughter that he had full custody, but I heard he lost it. I feel for her and hope she is out of this loop. Joe is/was a fisherman and hunter to put food on the table. Detroit is well known for it's murder rate. Not so much for the suburbs. Grosse Pointe Park, on Detroit's far East side, had its first murder in many years last week. I'm still trying to cope with this. The car with her body were dumped near me. The alleged confessing murderer is someone I've known for years. Not looking for advice, just venting.

Same for you Terryfighter, as I see you said "had" colitis I normally don't post much personal info on here, but this is a slight exception as it is a rant and, after some 40+ years, I still hold a grudge against the doctor. Glad he finally retired! Brother was doubled over in pain. Went to doc many times. Doc did not test for ulcerative colitis nor Chron's disease because he was "too young to get them." (Yes, he actually admitted that to us, but that was back in the early '70's.) After a couple months he was hospitalized and operated on. (IIRC, colon shortened to get "most/all[?]" of it. Something burst in the middle of the night, poisioning him. My dad was there, (ICU allows 24/7 visit,) and he was pressing on the emergency/panic button along w/calling down the hall for help. Overnight hospital shifts are not well manned, by the time help got there many minutes later, it was too late. Brother had sole custody of his son after divorce. How the hell does one tell a four year old that his dad is gone? My parents raised him along w/help from me & my brother. My daughter is a year younger, so they have a kinda brother/sister relationship. The point of this, mostly for others, is if one has unusual pain, get to a doc or hospital ASAP! Now that the maudlin is over, I'll tell a little funny story. Last Spring & Summer I kept getting occasional pushing, stabbing, pressure, whatever pains in one to four places around my heart. I had several other "symtoms." I went to WebMD and found I had 6-7 of the symtoms for a heart attack. Wow! Called my doc the next morning, (as you can see, I'm a night owl. lol Stayed up all night until I could call as I was afraid to go to sleep.) He directed me straight to the ER, not his office. [side note on WebMD, the hospital told me it is a good start, but they have to put up all kinds of info, even if very minor, so someone can't claim mis-information. IOW, start there, but ALWAYS check w/your doctor for followup. Looks true as I checked later an many of my "symtoms" seemed to fit in other areas too.] The good news is they did heart & body scans My heart is in great condition! My brain & other parts may be out of kilter, but they're being dealt with. It appears I had "heartburn," which I've never had before. Now that I've got a giant bottle of heartburn pills, I never had to open it as I haven't had any symtoms since the hospital. Oh yea, they had me so drugged at times they had to change my diapers several times over the 5 day stay. I never ever thought I would put that rant in print, much less on a diaper site. Oh well, life goes on, hopefully someone benifits from it.

Well said! I'm not a "birther" because his opponents and news orgs didn't persue it and in today's world it's too easy to create 'real' documents, but there are too many other unanswered questions. Can't say I'll miss it 'cause I never tried to go there, partly because of the early replies. The main reason was the thing screamed SCAM/SPAM as the OP joined Dec 13, 2011 has one post to their name made at 3:42 that day, hasn't posted anything else, and hasn't been back since logging off a minute later. I am very leery of clicking on links, especially "new, look at this" type, unless they're from a trusted source such as someone that has been active or at least well known for integrity.
