I second the "underpants under the nappy" idea. It keeps "him" in place and also works as a kind of wetness distributor, lessening the chance of leakage. I wouldn't do it all the time though, because it keeps wetness on your skin, but with your occasional use it should be OK.

Knitted thick ones can be darned or reknitted. If they're like thin ladies tights, the usual: a bit of clear nail varnish to stop the hole from running or replace.

I've just come back to this topic and find that quite a few people would be OK with a quick lynch job to take care of a paedo. In an earlier post I wrote that "he didn't get away with it, he's dead." about the AB in this topic. And I think what happened last week supports that.

Nah, barettes are tidier. The 'alligator'- style does not grab symmetrically and the hair drops out of the open end if you don't have very straight and fine hair and don't grab too much. Maybe for the side, to keep some strands out of your face. But then, I'm more the rubber band farmers daughter soccer mum utilitarian type, I don't do pretty-fancy much . . .
