  1. Hey all, I'm not very active on the boards & in chat anymore, but just in case, I'm moving Dec 1, so I'm even busier than usual. Rockies Fan.
  2. Welcome Back Sarah, long time no see! I agree with Spoony^^^^^
  3. Being a Responsible & in this case, a financially responsible adult SUCKS

  4. I agree with everyone else Jamie. If it's something you want to do, then go ahead & do it. There's nothing wrong with doing so.
  5. I read a saying awhile back that's stuck with me that I'll remember for a long time. It is: "People come into your life for one of three things. They come into your life for a Reason, or for a Season, or for a Lifetime." Like WakkoWannaBe said, people come & go & it's something that you have to accept & appreciate. It was rude how they ended it, but they may be going through very tough stuff that you don't know anything about. Hang in there.
  6. Looks like the water is trying to extinguish the fire. As for glass half empty or half full, it's all about one's chosen perspective, you can choose to say it's half empty or half full, it's up to the individual to decide.
  7. Good start, I'm looking forward to seeing more.
  8. As a person who has spent over 8 years in counseling myself, (I have BPD) & have been through 6 different therapists in that time, I feel your pain. I know it's not easy opening up with someone only for them to leave & start over with someone new & have them gain your trust, etc. In my experience though I've kept getting back up & starting over. And while it's been hard, it has been worth it, & speaking from experience, it does get easier with time & after you've had to start over with new people a few times. Hang in there.
  9. I see we have a new Q&A Section in the support section. It will be interesting to see if this eliminates or at least lessens some of the repetitive topics asking the same questions over & over on the boards. Time will tell.

  10. For those who had a blankie, a teddy, or any other object that you used to comfort you as a kid but got ridiculed, made fun of for it. You were NOT wrong or doing anything wrong.
  11. I'm asking this question (I tried a search, but didn't find any other topics about this) because today, when out running errands, I saw a girl who had to be at least 5 or 6 maybe even 7 years old
  12. Lol. But the way some young "grown ups" act nowadays (& I'm talking in real life & in terms of being responsible) This sign obviously for an apartment complex, makes a lot of sense sadly.
  13. Great Topic. Although this is kind of a painful one for me. I wish that I could have a complete redo of my life, even from before birth. I would get rid of my disability & have two completely different parents. And I would be the youngest child instead of the oldest. (That way I could get taken care of & be given the love & attention that I didn't get as the oldest.) I would get to have an actual childhood again, unlike how I actually had things. One biggest thing, I would want to keep all of my life & adult experience & knowledge that I have currently so that I could & would make many different decisions that having the current knowledge would allow me to do. Among them, I wouldn't allow my "narcissistic parents" to steal all of my dreams of achieving great things be stolen from me & I would've either have tried to be an Indy Race car driver, a lawyer, or an MLB pitcher like I wanted. My new parents would be loving, supportive & understanding & if I still had my disability, they would do everything they could to help me & make my life as easy as possible instead of as hard as possible.
  14. $180 from memory in 1998?! Was the memory really that expensive, or is part of the $180 interest for not getting the money to you until 16 years after the fact?
  15. If Troy Tulowitzki starts his whining & complaining while here in Denver with the Blue Jays, I'm going to jeer him by saying: "It looks like we have an adult baby disguised as a baseball player."

  16. Oooh another Cliff-hanger, darn it! No Fair Personalias. Please continue when you can. Rockies Fan.
  17. Having a hard time accepting "what is" when things that are not my fault & things that I no longer can change or control, could've & should've been different.

  18. Feeling accomplished & yet frustrated at the same time. I opened up my Desktop & replaced my computer's fan, because my computer would up & shut off without warning & then there would briefly be a burnt smell coming from the tower...The fan might have been part of the issue, but now I know that it also needs a new power supply. I hope that when I can afford it, that I can replace that on my own too....

 Power supplies are easy....trust me on this; I'm an electrician who builds skyscrapers for a living :P

  19. I've sometimes wished that I could go & be a kid all over again, but then giving up the positives & independence of being able to make my own decisions & choices has held me back changed my mind since I had to fight & work harder than I should've had to in order to get those things when I was a chronological kid. The more I go through & discover & go through layer after layer of pain in counseling, I'm almost seriously considering saying screw losing even the things that I had to work & fight so hard for. I'm tired & angry that I got screwed out of things that I should've had thanks to my "parents".

  20. Excellent addition as always, I continue to enjoy, where will this go next? Please continue, Rockies Fan.
  21. Jamie, I'm kind of in the same boat as you, as I am 30 myself & I haven't found anyone yet, nor has anyone found me. As much as I hate it & hate to say it, I think diaperguy85 is right. When you're actively "looking" it's hard to find someone, but when you don't actively "look" outta nowhere, someone will come into your life. (I'm still just non-actively) waiting for this too happen, as I too have kind of given up on trying to find someone.
  22. That's awesome! And I agree with Loveable_Guy. It would be cool if we could get a machine like that for Diapers too.
  23. Thank Goodness my favorite thing in the World Rockies Baseball is Back!

Yes he is & he is Fun to watch! I am so glad that the Rockies didn't wait a few weeks (in order to add another year of team control through Arbitration) to bring him up & instead they made him the starting SS from the Get-go. Definitely the right decision. Had another HR today, his 7th in 6 Games!

  24. Well...That's an interesting Self observation.....
