diapered charles
I can with 100% certainty guarantee that these super XPlus will last 16 hours as long as you do not pee or poop during that time frame. 🙄 In all seriousness though, I feel terrible about cheating on my Megamaxes. I hope I will be forgiven. ❤ 1 Link to comment
Little Sherri
I can get 16 hours out of a few of the diapers in my inventory - the MegaMax is definitely among them. Rearz' Mega Inspire+ and their Incontrol BeDry Night also qualify. The Critter Caboose can reach that point if stretched. The main problem that I run into in trying to ride out a super-nappy to failure is that, on most days, at some point, I either have to go somewhere, or someone comes over to my house for some reason. In those moments, it becomes problematic to be wearing a diaper that makes me look like I have a dead badger in my pants, first of all, and, second, my security protocols discourage public interaction in diapers at more than about 70% of their useful capacity - leaks can be conspicuous, and deeply inconvenient. And, 16+ hours in, there are also concerns about low-level "untended toddler" smells that even the best diapers eventually lose their fight against. "Nasal blindness" is a thing - ask anyone who has terrible breath. So I worry at the 10+ hour point in any given diaper, that I might have a whiff of the pee about me. This is also the reason I don't use boosters, and I haven't tried the Trest product that can hold 20 gallons or whatever they claim - there is only one day or so, every couple of weeks where I can expect to only be inflicting my bulging silhouette on my family, and they are paid, in a roundabout way, to put up with it. Maybe someday when I'm in my later years, I'll stop worrying completely about what others think of me, and I'll be able to enjoy wearing a giant super-diaper under summer clothes while I stroll down Main Street, but I'm not there yet. Crinklz Kat
I agree about the smell -- even though I might still have some capacity left, they will usually stink quite badly after 12+ hours. As far as the X-Plus, they're the same as the Bambino Bianco/Classico. I would seriously doubt the 16 hour capability unless they were upgraded to Bellisimo specs. I haven't bought any in quite some time so no idea. Link to comment
Cute_Kitten
I've never made it to 16 hours in any diaper, even with boosters. I haven't tried cloth- maybe a really, really thick cloth diaper(s) would do the trick? Longest I've gone is 8 hours overnight in a heavy duty diaper with a booster. Link to comment
drynot
I can't recall the last time I really put a diaper to the test...time wise. It all depends on my output....which seems to vary quite a bit. Link to comment
technomonkey
out of 20 some years of wearing its amazing how diaper technology has come. but i have tried TotalDry Ultimate X-Plus and being an active person i would get 6 hours at most during the day. and if go to bed with empty bladder i might make 8 hours. ~Brian~
I also don't remember the last time I ran a diaper out that long, but I know that I've done it before. My diapers that I use are the Mega Maxes. They say that they are supposed to work for 12 hours, and I have worn one for almost twenty four one time, but the only thing I can tell you is that if you're not careful you can definitely have a rash or have problems that you need to solve so make sure that you're wearing a layer of protection like barrier cream. The problem that I had was that even though the diaper Was supposed to be a diaper that could last for over 12 hours, I had to take a diaper off when it was like that because of the smell of the urine and the ammonia. I've taken diapers off that are so bad that once you take the diaper off it makes your eyes Water. I like my diapers because if I need to have them last the 12 hours hopefully they will but I'm glad that I have the ability to change them should I choose not to wear it for so long. Whether or not your diaper last 16 full hours is based on the usage that you put it through. I have totally filled the diaper to capacity before, and there are times when I'm continually filling up and I'm just peeing all over the floor and then at that point the diaper isn't absorbing and it's just letting it go all over the place. It also depends on what you are releasing in the diaper and what consistency it is. I'm not sure if people understand what I mean by that but if your diaper is fully used, and as no more room to accept anything then the likelihood that your diaper will last a full 16 hours is not very good. I'd rather have a good diaper like a mega max than any other diaper they make. Idea of having a mega max is due to the fact that I am totally incontinent both ways and I don't care what happens if I need to use the diaper because I really have to use it I don't have to worry and don't want to worry that using it is going to make it blow out all over everything. That you wear a diaper is so that you can contain it within itself, but the diapers that they make so far that I have seen that are not the same quality as a mega max are far inferior to them because insurance companies and other companies won't allow you to have the good diapers so the only thing you can buy are the cheap diapers that only last you a minimum of 2 hours. Because you have to wear a diaper you also have to be careful of your skin. I want a good diaper because what if I have to use it what if I have to fill it up? Is it my fault that I'm incontinent both ways or that I have lost control? But it seems like every time you turn around companies that make these diapers make it sound like the easiest way they can make money is to make things really really cheap. I want a halfway decent diaper then I can count on so if I have to unload I can unload a full load in my diaper and still be able to deal with it. Many people have to understand that diapers are made based on what Medicare or Medicaid decide. I don't know why they decide that everybody has to be changed a maximum of every two hours, and that means that if you are actually changed that often that means that companies can get away with making crappy diapers that can't be counted on and that is a problem. There should be a law that says you get the diapers that you need no questions asked So far I haven't had too many difficulties with my diapers. I've pushed myself to the limit because I need what I have and I want what I need and I'm not gonna try to go cheaper because it saves them money. No reason for them to go cheap I have to watch my skin and I have to keep myself comfortable as well as healthy and if I had one problem and told the doctor that I was having rashes he would automatically see it and help me. Very fortunate to have a doctor that knows that and understands it. The idea of a diaper is that you can use it. Use a bad diaper if it's not made correctly you can't use a diaper. If it continues to leak and cause problems and that's half the reason why I don't like the cheap diapers they're built that way so that companies and insurance companies can save money, because Medicare and Medicaid won't pay for the good stuff unless you actually need it. Have already gone through that and I'll never have to do it again, but it is kind of embarrassing that you have to rely on your diaper if somebody decides that you need the cheapest diaper they make. Hopefully people understand that you need good diapers and you need quality diapers because you're using your bodily functions and you must use the diaper if you are incontinent like me. It will happen I just don't wanna use garbage diapers in order to prove a point. Brian Link to comment
Little Piglet
When I first read the header for this, I thought it meant not peeing for 16 hours. I had to laugh because I can't go 2 hours without the urge to pee and that is during the day. At night it was even less than that. As for diapers to hold for 16 hours, I suppose there are some that could do just that sort of thing, but like I mentioned in another thread I experienced a few years back what could have been a life threatening situation for myself. What I first thought to be just a pimple on my bottom turned out to be much more serious. It ended up being a abyss which if the ER doctor would not have diagnosed it correctly the abyss would have gone into my bloodstream and caused Sepsis. I was immediately seen by a surgeon who removed the abyss from my bottom and what I thought was just a pimple turned into me having to stay in the hospital for two week on a lot of anti-biotics. Needless to say, I don't mess around very long with keeping a wet diaper on and certainly change out of a messy diaper right away. I would never keep a diaper on for 16 hours. Link to comment

I hate being a grammar or spelling German Authoritarian from the 1940s but do you mean abscess? Because exploring the abyss of your bottom means something COMPLETELY different! Not judging, just different. 1 Link to comment
Dubious
If I had to use medical diapers, I would need at least 2-3 a day. If they are plastic, I might manage with 1-2. Since I pay for them myself, I try to use the toilet, so I use 1 per day. ABDL diapers easily last me 24 hours, and usually I change cause they get smelly and/or bad for my skin. I bet if they went through their medical budget, they would find that they use more money on diapers with cloth-like, than they used on plastic diapers. They = Whoever pays for the diapers. Even when I went to type it in on this post I still couldn't spell it correctly. 😄 Link to comment
