75% wear at Times Square NYE Party

Recommended Posts

Yah started happening a few years back, and its been becoming more and more popular to do.

Sorta like commuters in japan and china have started to do that more and more just cause of the issues with being stuck on the trains.

I'm going to guess it's just a guess on her part. Probably also a comforting thought for a Vanilla Normie "Gee if I'm wearing a diaper, I bet a bunch of others are too."

I'm wondering what diapers the normies would wear. Depends? That's the brand due to advertising that most normal people associate with adults/ incontinence.

One advantage to being an ABDL: we know better. ?

I have 0 desire to be in such a crowded spot, but if I ever did, I'd wear a white Megamax with a booster. or maybe a Rearz Inspire. Something thick and super absorbent.  The article did say a lot of people abstained from liquids. With such a big diaper, no need to worry!

While I know that adult diapers have been a popular tool in New York City, I wonder about other cities like Las Vegas.

With an expected turn-out of 400k I wonder what the port-a-potty situation was there. Did anyone happen to attend the Last Vegas NYE party on the strip? Maybe they allow you to come and go as you please so diapers are unnecessary? Maybe you could walk into one of the casinos and use their facilities? Does anyone know?

FTR- I've been to Times Square one time, and it was mid-week in July.   My social anxiety pegged, and I needed to get out as soon as I could. That's just way too many people for me.

I'm not buying the 75% estimate, as the disdain for wearing diapers ingrained in most people from an early age probably overrides a lot of their practical considerations. Good for her for giving it a shot.

I wore diapers on some long car rides when I was a kid, and to church a few times at Christmas for midnight services, however they were there as a failsafe in case I fell asleep in the car and wet, not because we didn't think there'd be access to a washroom. I wonder how the conversation went... I'd bet that if these parents didn't shame their kids out of diapers in the first place, they might have had a better chance at getting agreement, so that when they floated the idea, it would be met with "Hmmm... might be a good idea..." rather than frantic pleading along the lines of  "Oh, GOD, NO, don't make me wear diapers!!!!"

I wear diapers on long (and short) car rides as an adult.

Not sure of the numbers but I bet after a time or two of going there without a diaper, some have decided to wear one.  Really, if you think of it, it's the sensible thing to do if you get a diaper like Betterdry or Megamax that can last 8+ hours.  If you run into Walgreens and grab a package off the shelf you will end up with wet pants by the time the party is over.

What's not sensible is gathering in Times Square on New Years Eve, standing packed shoulder to shoulder with thousands of other people for 12+ hours (or longer) freezing your ass off just to watch a ball drop at midnight when you can watch the same thing from the comfort of your warm living room where you have access to snacks, drinks and a bathroom.

Yeah, most of these folks are very inexperienced with getting equipped with adequate protection. Especially when you consider that in interviews where the topic is discussed at length most of them say that it's 'just in case' or for an 'emergency' only. It's frustrating for us since we realize that a store brand CVS underwear is not going to hold an 'emergency' level of urine.

But they have no point of reference. They must assume that since it's an adult diaper then it must work for an adult. They don't realize that those products are designed for light tinkles.

Here's what I want to know: what would y'all wear? As for me, I'd wear a long coat not only for warmth, but discretion. Underarmor leggings, long johns, pants, underarmor shirt, doubler layered flannel shirt, long wool jacket, flannel scarf, feux fur hat. I'd bring some hot hands hand warmers and foot warmers just in case. Wool socks, and winter boots. (Edit: and I'd bring a rain poncho since I don't think umbrellas are allowed) For protection I'd wear a crinklz astronaut. Not the *best* choice I know but it's what I have stocked right now. Plus it would get the job done if I didn't drink way too much. They hold enough and stay in place.

I wonder why you never hear folks mention stadium helpers or some other kind of external catheter? One reason might be because all they ever talk about in the articles and news reports are diapers or holding it.

They'd only do that once!

"This did not work out as I had hoped it would... I gotta go home."

Just imagine if they got caught on camera finding out how dependable Depends (or other generic grocery store pull-up) are! ?

Probably jeans, t-shirt, socks.  That's what I usually wear New Years Eve.  Since my above post talks about in not being sensible to be among the crowd in Times Square, that would be what I would wear sitting in my easy chair in front of the TV in my warm cozy house!

Let's assume that these numbers are correct, and most of the people wearing a diaper at Times Square don't wear diapers, and are likely reluctant to let loose in their diaper.   Even the best diaper will leak with a large void, but most newbies wouldn't know that.  They also may think that a cheap Walgreens Pull Up would be enough.   I have first-hand, it won't be enough.

However, imagine being that guy who says "No, we need better diapers.  We should use BetterDry Adult diapers, with a booster, especially adding in the hint not to flood the diaper.
