Next in line for Surgical incontinence!
pigletno replied to Jojorabbit's topic in Incontinent-Desires
@hendrick (and everybody else) I believe there is a rational basis for a “trial period” of living daily life while simulating incontinence as closely as possible. In my opinion, the desire to become permanently incontinent is a form of Body Integrity Disorder/ BIID. There is a growing amount of professional/ medical research on that topic and parallels to people who desire to physically change their gender attributes. In support of these, the medical guidance generally encourages counseling and adopting the behavior and daily life associated with the changes desired. When and if the person accepts living with these, then a permanent (surgical) change is performed. for incontinence desire, the obvious starting point is to diaper up or use other incontinence aids such as a catheter and a bag. Later stages could employ a stent or Botox as a reversible way to achieve incontinence. Finally, if one can accept the life changes due to living with incontinence then a permanent (surgical) solution is in order. I recognize, of course, that there is an inherent emotional thrill from enjoying the “negative” side of being/ using/ having to use diapers. I consider it a form of Masochism or Submission (in the realm of BDSM) and that’s ok by me. Just so long as one has reconciled their feeling and desires in a responsible and healthy way, not out of short-term excitement and/or self harm. Just my $0.02, YMMV. piglet -
“Why” technically speaking is probably due to the strength of the materials and the stresses imposed by your body parts- namely the butt cheeks. When you sit and the your buttocks change shape (spread) they pull the plastic sheet(s) of the diaper apart and they are not strong/stretchy enough to handle it. I find that using doublers helps prevent the problem.

Well I got curious and found/ found out a couple of things to add: The Abena "bodystockings" are still advertised on their uk website (Abena.co.uk) and available in a variety of styles (tank, sleeved, long legged, etc.) And the other label I mentioned is indeed Sego:

Honey, when was the last time you...
pigletno replied to PeterLupus's topic in Our Lifestyle Discussion
This is a great point and potential “starting point” for exploring the dynamics of being diapered and in a relationship. At one end of the spectrum is awareness and a mild and relatively easy form of participation, even if it requires (gulp!) communication and talking about each other’s feelings. Taken to an extreme it might evolve into a stronger form of power exchange (BDSM type of stuff) where potty or diaper privileges must be granted or earned. Simply keeping a list or calendar of certain events such as no 1’s&2’s, changes etc., serves as another way to communicate with one another. Just my $0.02, YMMV (as they used to say back in the days of a.s.b.) I defer to others who can offer more on this subject and ABDL within a relationship. There are many community groups and resources that can be of help and provide a lot of knowledge (i.e. through Fetlife etc.— if you can wade through the trolls, Real-life munches, and publications). -
Abena is the one of the first brands I discovered, specifically their tank top style. I loved the quality and lightweight stretch cotton fabric- perfect for hot weather. I believe they have discontinued them; the last time I bought any of this kind was over 5 years ago from a reseller on eBay. Silverts sells a similar tank style product although it’s not as comfortable, particularly the elastic bunched shoulders. Then I found some under the label “Sego” (if I remember correctly) which were comparable. 4care makes excellent products, including cotton onesies in every configuration possible— tank, t-shirt, long sleeved, long legged, etc. The cotton material is great quality, but a bit heavy (thick) for hot weather. A couple of other regular/major brands I’ve found which target the medical or special needs market are Preventawear and Wonsie (Australian). I describe them as regular/major because they make a consistent product year in and year out. Others I’ve found are smaller volume and the products vary— Bodysuit.com comes to mind. I bought some great tank style onesies from them a few years ago but they did not re-stock. Just checked and now their website doesn’t even come up anymore.

Used NYE diapers in Times Square
pigletno replied to Permanently Pampered's topic in Diapers in the News
The annual Times Square NYE post(ings— as there are two threads on DD this year). I love it! Now a tradition as strong as kissing at midnight, New Years Resolutions and a good luck meal of black eyed peas. Nice link to the MSM news article. The “real story” (IMHO) is indeed— how does one remove their diaper while in the crowded Times Square? -
Celebrate Locktober! (that’s a reference to the chastity scene, in case you are not aware of it…) Locking diaper covers and clothing are great fun. There are suits available which actually lock shut, although using multiple layers of onesies and jumpsuits etc. can be effective too. It’s one of many creative ways to limit/ restrict/ make using the potty impossible or inconvenient.

There is quite a bit of discussion on other threads about using progressively larger catheters in order to achieve incontinence- most of the info originates from Fetlife, posted by BillyTex. If you search the catheter groups there you can find out all about the technique. In comparison to the experiences about surgical methods shared here on DailyDiapers (thanks to @Reddy and @BrownBobby) it seems the catheter method may be at least as viable. Those two describe complications with strictures following surgery, and require a catheter to manage those anyway. If one is able to tolerate catheters and make the long-term commitment to using them then the end result sounds very similar. I experimented with catheters when I was in my 20’s and enjoyed it, however they didn’t suit my active lifestyle. It takes a commitment to cleanliness and there is some discomfort which takes getting used to. Nevertheless I look forward to taking up the habit again someday, including the technique of increasing the catheter size.

Alternate methods or surgeries to achieve incontinence
pigletno replied to Squeaky Bearsies's topic in Incontinent-Desires
The author is a frequent poster on Fetlife (in several of the catheter-related groups). If you have an account there and do some searching you will be able to connect with him, as well as read more about the topic via his posts/replies in those groups. -
I was also a big fan of the Northshore Supreme Lite and sorry to see them discontinued. Abena M4 work well for me day-to-day but are a bit bulky in some situations (e.g. wearing dress pants). They are also a bit heavy for the hot summer months. Otherwise, most of my wardrobe is diaper-friendly by now; I have a onesie for every occasion!

A recent article (7/5/2024) on a topic that’s been well reported in the past. The article doesn’t bring a lot of new information to light, but includes some data on aging populations and Japan- specific diaper production trends (adult vs baby). Here is the link: https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/05/business/japan-aging-society-baby-care-nhk-dg/index.html

Alternate methods or surgeries to achieve incontinence
pigletno replied to Squeaky Bearsies's topic in Incontinent-Desires
Prolonged and constant catheter use is one technique which achieves results. This technique is discussed extensively on some of the Fetlife groups, the resident authority being a man with the handle Billytex. He describes the effects from full-time foley cather use while gradually increasing size over the course of several months. Around the size 26 will reportedly cause constant dribbling. However it sounds like some “maintenance” cathing is necessary even after the maximum size 30 is achieved. After hearing about @reddy’s experiences and difficulties with strictures the catheter approach seems attractive to me. Although it’s been many years since I’ve played with foley caths, I do recall having some issues with “diminished reliability” from it. Someday I will probably take up the catheter habit again, when it more suits my lifestyle and I’m able to ensure a sufficient level of cleanliness. And yes, of course my aim would be to get to the max size of 30! -
One neat trick is to close the lid and put all of your small bottles of toiletry items (soaps, shampoos, lotions etc.) on top of it. That will make it inconvenient to clear them all off in case you are tempted to use the potty and by then hopefully the urge will have passed.

Yes I can offer you lots of advice! First, do you require full time chastity or night time/ around the house only? A simple solution for night time or when in private is to to wear an athletic training groin protector with a jumpsuit over the top. That will keep your hands out of your diapers and make rubbing yourself more difficult. Back-zip onesies and even locking jumpsuits will improve security, but you'll still probably be able to get some satisfaction through all of the layers. Practical full-time chastity requires a device-- either a full belt or penis cage-- and there are many available commercially. I have tried several over the years, usually with diapers, and prefer the penis-only type using a piercing to keep it attached. Through trial-and-error I eventually purchased a custom fit cage by Evotion Wearables. For full-time use, especially in diapers, you should eventually get a device made of metal (stainless steel or titanium) for cleanliness purposes. You will need to soak it to keep it clean, but it is preferable to plastic which can absorb and hold odors. But go ahead and order something in plastic which is affordable for your budget; start out with something off-the shelf to get started and see what works for you. If you are open to a piercing and are serious about chastity I would strongly suggest this as the best solution. The Prince Albert (PA) is very common but is susceptible to tearing because there is not enough skin to support the weight of the device. Although my PA piercing is fairly deep (i.e., farther from the tip of the penis than usual), it still tears through the skin. Stretching up to a larger size jewelry can help (mine is currently around 0-gauge). Two other types of penis piercings helpful for chastisty to consider are Apadravya (vertical) and Ampallang (horizontal). I Find a good piercing studio and tell them what you are doing so they can help you best (even copy this text and give it to them). You will find plenty of information about the various devices available with an internet search or joining Chastity groups on Fetlife. My best advice is to go ahead and get started-- buy a couple of devices that match your budget and you will learn more than any web forum can tell you. Good luck and let us know how it goes for you!

It’s great that you are thinking ahead and planning how to accommodate the ABDL side of your life in your future home. @WetDadhas a good point about keeping work life separate from personal, however a room which functions as a home office can be outfitted for many purposes. The furnishings (desk, shelving, etc.) are rather universal and many options are available for storage/ workspace combinations-- look online, especially for sites or videos about "tiny homes" or apartments designed with features to maximize the use of space. For example a desk that folds out of the way after working hours and ample storage to keep diapers and ABDL gear out of sight when necessary. Many other threads on this site discuss how fellow members deal with setting up changing & play spaces, stashing their dipes, and other gear. Another great way to get started with the process of planning the new space is to take inventory of your stuff— literally make a list of everything on your desk, drawers, closets etc. and how much space it requires. That gives you a target for how much square footage and types of space/ furnishings you’ll need, not just for the one "office" room, but the entire house if you wish to consider it. It's also useful for planning; For example maybe you decide that you want space for twice as many diapers or realize how much is being taken up by old paperwork, electronic cords and devices that could be reduced.

Rearz Onesies (Diaper Shirts, Snap-T's)
pigletno replied to Little Sherri's topic in Product Reviews and Info
I also have a Rearz onesie which has lasted several years. It's white tank-top style in a lightweight cotton, perfect for summer weather. @Joey_AB_DL to answer your question about snug and snaps, I'm actually partial to back zip-up onesies these days. It discourages me from undoing my onesie. -
Love this thread-- my fetish for luggage and gear rivals the one I have for diapers! Sizing for packing cubes varies as do diapers between brands and size (S-M-L) etc. You'll just have to do some research and find what works best for your situation. I can offer a few pointers, however: -Consider whether you want to pack just a couple or several dips. For example, I have a nifty lightweight cube from Eagle Creek which is perfect for two size M overnights. For a stack of several, one I have from Timbuk2 works well although they've discontinued making it so you won't find it for sale new. Other sizes are proportioned to fit two side-by-side. -To pack larger quantities of diapers, look for cubes which are "expandable"; e.g. have an additional zipper which goes around the edge to allow height adjustment as your stash gets smaller. -Consider whether you want some discrete (solid material) or if that is not an issue many come in mesh or see-through materials. The type of material also affects the weight of the bag, in case that is a factor. -Do you plan to carry other supplies or just dipes? If so, that may take you in a different direction such as a backpack or messenger-type bag with more compartments or pockets. Otherwise as it has been suggested, use a ziplock for wipes, powder, etc., and choose a cube sized to accommodate the extra package. -And yes to the suggestion by @FloppyFoppsie to use a "wet bag" (aka Dry Bag) in situations where you need to discretely stash a used one until you can dispose properly. They come in many different sizes and materials as well. Hugs, piglet

Close To Incontinence With A Catheter
pigletno replied to dependsfavorite's topic in Incontinent-Desires
There is nothing "wrong" with having a desire! It's what you do with/ about it that matters. The Golden Rule(s) in the BDSM world generally follow "Safe, Sane & Consensual" / Risk-Aware practices. When it comes to Incontinence Desires it tends to be latter (Risk-Aware). Achieving incontinence is potentially a permanent body modification with significant consequences for yourself and others. Most importantly is to Do No Harm, such as causing yourself serious health problems to the bladder or kidneys. Use safe practices when cathing and if you don't know what they are seek out information and learn the details and why they are so important. A second aspect-- and one which is hotly debated on this forum-- is one of social responsibility. For starters that means not involving people in your kink without their consent; keep your diapers to yourself or others who wish to participate and don't take advantage of health care professionals. Of course you may end up with an emergency situation which requires a trip to the hospital but it will be so much better for everybody involved if you will make every reasonable effort to avoid it through becoming educated and using best practices etc. All of the above is pretty black & white reasoning and should stir relatively little controversy. Now we get to the good part-- I mean, who would do this? Do you actually realize what you are getting in to? Those are actually trick questions which may result in another 55 pages of thread discussion/ debate and still never reach any firm conclusions. The reality is that there are aspects of being incontinent which push the big buttons of desire deep within some us. Expect me to explain it? Hell no I can't and hardly understand it myself when I wake up surprised to find myself in a wet diaper or leak uncontrollably-- and unexpectedly-- during the day. Although these are extremely rare experiences which I'm not actively seeking or intentionally causing but when they do happen I REALLY LIKE IT! But I'm at a loss to explain and justify it to others. I'm convinced that the answer(s) lie somewhere in the alphabet soup between ABDL, BDSM, and BIID. I don't want to make this post too lengthy, so I'll just leave that there for now. Hopefully, @pantyman and others, sharing these thoughts has been helpful to you. Stay Safe! -
Close To Incontinence With A Catheter
pigletno replied to dependsfavorite's topic in Incontinent-Desires
There is a frequent poster to some of the catheter groups on FL who can provide a detailed explanation. I don't know the proper etiquette so I won't post a direct link or any usernames. Regardless, the short answer is apparently it takes "months" using progressively larger foley catheters on a full-time basis. And once the "end point" is reached you will likely need to continue cathing regularly in order to maintain the results. Although it seems that injuries to the (sphincter) muscles would result leakage, apparently it is the opposite-- such damage can cause scar tissue which obstructs flow. The poster (on FL) is very knowledgeable and strongly advises for "slow and steady" using safe/ best practices for long-term cathing. If you have any trouble finding info you are welcome to PM me and I will point you in the right direction. To be clear, I have not (yet) tried the technique but am also interested in the subject. Some time (15 yrs +) ago, I experimented with foley catheters, keeping them in for up to a week at a time on occasion. That duration & frequency of usage did not cause incontinence, but certainly gave me an appreciation for the commitment required to go "all the way" (and enough for me to decide that I wasn't ready for it.) -
Ah yes- the unofficial annual NYE Times Square diaper thread. I look forward to it every year; thank you.

That’s a great topic and I’ve also recently found some great retrospective material about ABDL. In particular, the double-episode series by Love In Brief, as well as a couple of y*utube videos. One (by diaperperv) may be the stash of DPF material which you are referring to, in which she does a sort of “video tour” perusal of a bunch of the old print newsletters. There is also a video of the 1990 Baby Weekend hosted by Tommy/ DPF and yes, it certainly features people introducing themselves etc. I wonder if they ever imagined that footage could be available on such a widespread platform at the www. / y-tube? Regardless, what you have is a treasure. You may want to seek out somebody from the Leather Archives & Museum or similar organizations who have taken on the similar task of preserving the history of the Leather Community. That’s not to say they are the same thing, but enough common ground exists to look at the LA&M for lessons on how to go about preserving records of the past.

I've used the Crinklz app, mostly out of curiosity but also for its functionality to keep track of inventory and how long each type of diaper lasts. A couple of things that come to mind: -Selecting combinations of products-- for example a diaper and a stuffer-- is kind of awkward in the app. I experimented with creating the combination as a custom item, but then it doesn't automatically adjust inventory. -The ability to track more information like @jimpa suggests, such as when a change occurs for convenience not because the diaper is full such as taking a shower and then changing into a fresh one. With the current version of the app those two events aren't distinguishable from each other and the statistics (for how long each type of diaper lasts) become skewed. -Relating diaper use and duration to time of day would be interesting and possibly useful-- i.e., overnight vs. day time. -Ability to export data (so that the user could graph statistics etc. on their own.) Overall, though I haven't kept up with the app for longer than a few weeks at a time. piglet
