It's a bit cringe to fixate on baby diapers for adults. We already have adult sized diapers and this is enough. It's important to draw boundaries that we don't cross so we can meet society part way.

Children, especially if they're not toilet trained, don't comprehend the concept of sterilization, leaving that to fall on the child's guardian/caregiver, which people are socially more understanding if a caregiver is not 100% on top of their charge's hygiene (and from the caregiver's perspective, you can't be, they're literally somebody else, the best you can do is everything you can as it's more than a full-time job). While they do not understand ABDL, they do understand that participants are adults and therefore place a higher burden of expectation, as they would with any adult, especially one who is in an area frequented by children. If folks aren't willing to research ABDL before casting judgement (and let's be real, who takes time to research a topic before forming an opinion?), then at best we're compared to homeless people who have no standard for hygiene. What's important is to protect our public image, which is harder to do when there are these connections for people to draw.

I'm sure they do worse than AB's, but AB's know better (kids don't). While I don't want to be the one to rain on the parade, we might want to rethink this stance for when actual kids are potentially involved. If we can't come up with our own socially agreeable code of ethics, then others will do so for us and laws will be passed which impact our community.

I'm not arguing that, I'm explaining popular opinion (as in the average opinion of one who is not in this community; though they are not in this community they still have a strong impact on it) regarding the usage, aversion, and stigma for diaper usage and why when people use them, they typically do not announce that they are. If one just defecates in a chair in public the police are called and it becomes a public spectacle. As an adult, one is expected to handle one's own hygiene at one's own discretion.

The social expectation is to get up and use the bathroom if you need to. It seems like diapers are slowly becoming socially acceptable in the gaming community since the expectation to constantly be there subverts the expectation to get up and use the bathroom. Telling people that you wear diapers tells them about your hygiene, which openly admitting that you personally may be wearing your own urine and feces, can make people uncomfortable, as poor hygiene in that regard smells really bad and can result in illness, among other things.

Yeah, that's pretty much how diaper-wearing works when it relates to profession or hobby. It is a widely known alternative to getting up and using the bathroom, but no one really broadcasts that they personally do it. It's cringe.

Don't think compulsive gamblers are necessarily a part of the gaming community. To my knowledge, G-Fuel tries to be the one-stop shop for things gamer related. I'd have to do more research to back that claim, of course, but to my knowledge, gamblers don't necessarily have a community. Aside from that, I don't think G-Fuel has an interest in diapers which extends beyond it being a product which they have potential to capitalize on. Not wanting to get up from your computer to use the bathroom is a thing, especially if you're playing a rather intense multiplayer game which an absence of a few minutes for a bathroom break (which you potentially could really need after a few hours hyped up on G-Fuel energy drinks) could impact.

I visited their site, looks like the product is called 'energy diaper' and they're sold out. I haven't taken the time to check out product reviews, but I'd be wary of it not having quality (companies which feature a particular gimmick and sell diapers which feature their gimmick typically drop a little in quality in order to incorporate their gimmick/features). So while it could appear that G-Fuel is normalizing diaper wearing within the gaming community, a lot of people still find diapers cringe, so I don't know if you could call that a win. They definitely know how to market it though, props for that.

I don't think it's necessarily "us" per se. Sometimes people use diapers when they would rather avoid taking time to go to the bathroom, but they don't correlate it with being incontinent or behaving childishly; they're just trying to save time and stay focused on whatever task they're doing rather than address nature's call. Anyway, in the gamer community (whom G-Fuel advertises to), wearing diapers to avoid getting up and using the bathroom isn't unheard of.

If you think about it, they raise valid concerns which must be addressed before we can gain public acceptance. If we can't do that, then providing and promoting services which cater to us is more of a risk and far less likely to be a reality.

From what I saw poking around online, it looks like that spa was shut down or will be. Keep your clothes on in public, dress normally in public, don't draw unsolicited attention (bad publicity is bad), and don't give people reasons to be wary of us. Acceptance is earned, not a right.

There's nothing wrong with expecting compensation for services. If my job asked me to work for free, I probably would look for a different one.

If I could start over, I probably would have done it all the same. If I had the knowledge that I have now I would have taken school a lot more seriously and made a bigger effort at starting a career earlier. I don't think I'd be compelled to retain my fixation with being diapered. Starting over would be about improving quality of life.

Last I was on facebook, you could set who sees what in your settings, but even then, if someone wanted to see everything you were doing, they just had to subscribe. I actually left because my experience devolved into spending hours going through memes and that really took away from my study time.

I'd be wary of consumption of plastic. Though plastic seems to be in everything nowadays, I'd definitely limit pacifier use as those are made of plastic and consuming more plastic could have negative health effects down the road.

Mormons are legit, they kind of have a controversial origin story, but the message is peace. Granted, if you don't want to speak to missionaries, just explain that you have concerns about allowing strangers into your home during the COVID crisis and now isn't a good time. Yeah, avoid alcohol if you can help it. I'm "quitting", but I did have a few last night...and now I have chest pain to deal with today.

I grew up in a religious household myself with parents who felt they had a right to decide what our beliefs were (which is probably very similar to most religious households, but since that was all I knew back then, we were kind of the one family that was dysfunctional, but did not believe it). I get along fine with my parents right now, but back in the day, my mother was the strict one and my father was the fun one. We didn't like my mom's strictness as kids, but years later as an adult, I found there was a lot more to that story than we knew about at the time.

I actually do understand. Since I was five I have wanted to wear diapers to the point of giving in, allowing myself to be ruled by my own cognitive distortion, and pushing other people and logic/reason away. However, I also try to understand other perspectives and I read about cases which involve our type of lifestyle, which cases definitely lead into very gray areas concerning law and ethics. I don't wish to really get into it here, but I think it would be very wise to seriously weigh the pros and cons before proceeding. The way I actually see it, we all eventually grow old, lose bodily functions, and end up in nursing homes, while wearing diapers anyway. To that end, in the here and now, that is something to look forward to. That's my two cents anyway. whatever you decide, good luck and I hope it works out for you.

I'd give it a second thought before having that surgery. It's a lot harder to put something in than to take it out.

Religious ideology and culture aren't bad, but I have met many people whose ideology cause arrogance in their character due to religious indoctrination. I was one such person, but now continually seek to understand other views and arguments that people make, which could accurately be depicted as trading one faith for another in its own right, but having thought "...because my pastor said God says so..." at one point in my life, it does hit me hard when I see that in others. Don't particularly intend to force my own beliefs (or lack) onto others, but there is always a certain arrogance present whenever religion and/or politics are brought up.

I honestly couldn't say. Deities were introduced to philosophy as a way to explain the world around us, but as we learn more about the world, a supreme being pulling the strings seems less plausible.

For me it was about feeling small again. As an adult I'm usually depressed, but when I was a child those were happier times. I won't say that I've quit wearing, since I still do from time to time, but I try to set limits and rationalize whenever I'm feeling an urge to wear a diaper, but don't feel comfortable doing so. I associate the word "diaper" with my childhood, which can trigger an urge to wear when I see or hear mention of the word, but diapers are made of cotton and plastic (which are "big" words that didn't have particular meaning to me at that point in time), have to be changed regularly to preserve skin integrity, and are a poor alternative to getting up and using the toilet. Urine and feces smell really bad and if handled improperly, can make you sick, so that's what I do. It's still a struggle, but it works when I need it to.
