    I always wear plastic pants over a disposable at night because I sometimes I move around a lot and the tapes can get dislodged without my realising.

    Big branches of Boots are increasingly likely to sell adult diapers now, although their selection is limited. Your other best bet is to find an independent chemist that specialises is equipment for the elderly/disabled - again, most likely in big towns and cities.

    That's a brilliant way of putting it - it's great not ever feeling desperate or uncomfortable, but just knowing that your bladder does it's thing and that as long as you're diapered there's no problem :-)

    @ Baby Brian - well it's an interesting point - as the stents we're desigining are totally indwelling and nothing is exposed outside the body, is there any possibility of infection?

    It's really interesting to see several different viable designs ... For those who have come up with something that works - how often do you use your stent?

    So the stent I made a few weeks ago (pics posted on a previous page) seems to work pretty much perfectly.

    It's often struck me that diapers make a particularly self-sufficient fetish (unless you're into the AB side of things) - they can be worn anywhere and you can have all sorts of fun with them without involving someone else.

    I think Blake has got a good point - it's a bit like the journey being more important than the destination.

    I don't know anything about the effect of heat on various types of plastic, so I'll leap past that; but the idea of using heat to create bulges doesn't sound much different to using sugru to do the same thing (am I misunderstanding?).

    Once it's cured the adhesion is very strong - it really needs a lot of effort to peel off.

    An older usage of the word - or rather of 'continence' - refers to chastity or celibacy (as in holding oneself together, restraint); I think this usage has probably diminished as the definition relating to bladder control has become the most commonly known one ...
