  1. If you really want to read about religion read Q...forget King james or any other version.
  2. Everyone I wish we could pin this subject...once you are above the age of about 17-18 no one really cares.
  3. Okay so on the latest Myth Busters Mail Bag episode at the very end they replay an episode wherein they try to measure a girl's (Tori's) flatulence. Then they "design" a pair of plastic pants with both sound and "gas" detectors to let everyone know when the "event" happened. Not necessarily related to diapers but definitely a testament that wearing plastic pants helps keep the stink out. Not sure when it aired. -dw
  4. half drunk but the other half (non-inebriated half) thought better of a comment..
  5. Probably, that said, I live in Asia and funny or not Dog is on the menu here. And, yes, I've eaten dog and while I didn't know it at the time, it didn't taste that bad. Face it, if it is a live or die situation or your parents think so (in the case of Obama) there is nothing funny about it. Dog is food in some countries. Just glad it isn't soylent green. Debated on posting this but guys and girls like it or not anything not labeled as human is actually on the menu somewhere in the world. Welcome to Life! Cie La Vie
  6. I guess it depends on the rider. As long as I'm vertical, I have no problem wetting. Have you tried looking at no-nose or other seats that reduce pressure on the anatomy of the area? This is not a plug as I haven't tried this, but I found a possible solution here: http://www.thecomfor...om/designer.htm Anyway I would google for no-nose seats or check out the links here: http://www.google.co...lient=firefox-a I think once the pressure is relieved for you, you will find more comfort wet or not ;-) Hope it helps! Best, DW
  7. RU seems better than A-L ;-) ****spoiler Alert***** And the diaper reference wasn't really a spoiler, the funny part was all the acronyms and abbreviations....AND side effects.
  8. I haven't tried these but the new commercials are awesome. May not be "mainstream" yet, but this is great marketing and opens the discussion to more people while downplaying stigmatisms. However, NOW we can also just say we are just wearing diapers daily for charity ;-) Just kidding, I would NEVER do that hehehe Thanks for the post DD!!!
  9. I also have never heard of an inflatable crib. However if you really want to find the leak AND you don't have a pool. Here's what I would do: - Mix a solution of about 1/8 th cup of dish washing detergent to one cup of water. - Mix well - Grab a rag and slowly go over the entire surface of the "crib" - Look for bubbles. Once you see bubbles and not just the ones you are making washing the fluid over the mattress/crib, but a continuing series of bubbles you know where at least one of the leak or leaks are located. After this it is just a matter of obtaining a patch kit and "sealing" the leak. Best of Luck!
  10. Who knew the diapering industry was so contentious? It's almost like Apple and Samsung going at each other ;-) Kimberly-Clark Corp.’s Kimberly- Clark Worldwide unit sued a Swedish producer of medical supplies for patent infringement.
  11. Was scanning the news today and had no idea the age of 40 is the beginning of the target demographic for adult diapers in Asia. Please note the article is NOT about adult diapers per se, but more about age discrimination in Asia. Those who sell adult diapers are so happy when you hit 40
  12. These always remind me of public urinals. I suppose you could slice a tiny bit off of one of these or (depending on family/roomate conditions) keep one in a bathroom at home. It may not prove a "link" but should remind you of the environment... Then again you probably DON'T want to be inhaling the vapors from these things all the time, regardless of how "safe" the FDA or whoever approves such things states them to be. Unfortunately outside of this, I can't think of any other mental association with public urinals aside from urine and being in one ;-) Best of Luck!
  13. The album The Monkees was only the 2nd LP record I ever purchased. Interestingly enough he considered the fact, in a recent interview, that most of his fans were now wearing "Depends." In that interview, Jones joked to Roker "(Fans) used to throw their little briefs and things like that, and now they're throwing Depends." The link above also has other details of his passing and recent work. Then again if his fans were throwing their Depends then maybe they weren't exactly fans... RIP Davey.
  14. While this joke may bear some resemblance to a certain board member's screen name, I just had it sent to me by someone unrelated to this community. Thought it was funny nonetheless. SD I hope you get a good laugh ;-) Three little ducks go into a Bar...... 'Say, what's your name?' the bartender asked the first duck. 'Huey,' was the reply. 'How's your day been, Huey?' ' Great. Lovely day. Had a ball. Been in and out of puddles all day. What else could a duck want?' said Huey. 'Oh. That's nice,' said the bartender. He turned to the second duck, 'Hi, and what's your name?' 'Dewey,' came the answer from duck number two. 'So how's your day been, Dewey! ?' he asked. 'Great. Lovely day. I've had a ball too. Been in and out of puddles all day myself. What else could a duck want?' The bartender turned to the third duck and said, 'So, you must be Louie?' 'No,' she said, batting her eyelashes. 'My name is Puddles..'
  15. I've been there, it is great! But oddly enough, I don't remember anything other than the fact that I was there.
  16. Wow! This thread is still going. I challenge anyone here to read any one of the following WSJ (Wall Street Journal), NYT (New York Times), LAT (Los Angeles Times), or CST (Chicago Sun-Tribune) either online or offline (print) with perfect grammar, spelling, conjugation, consistent (active or passive) voice, or tense. It used to be one could look up to mainstream publications to help one learn to write better. Now I think English teachers are the worst, because they are inundated with what has now become student-peer accepted speech/written communication, not because it is a socially accepted norm. And while it may be a peer accepted form (the world according to me) of communication, this doesn't help the individual to gather the necessary skills to be articulate and compete in the modern workforce. The point of any language or communication medium is to share ideas and to make ideas clear/clearer within a broader community. @all I'm the worst one to be speaking to this as I'm semi-dyslexic and have to really work at my intention/audience while at the same time as trying to be clear/succinct in what I want to say. Sometimes I fail but so do we all. That said, if someone is critical it means (as I take it) that they are trying to understand, but the message is not clear. What I don't understand is why someone would let some/any criticism get "under their skin" so much as to refuse to participate in the community. @Bettypooh I think, if given the opportunity Emoticons would have emerged long ago (with the typewriter). I feel that Emoticons enhance textualized speech. Sometimes for given passage of text it is difficult to understand the mood of the author, so the communication itself lacks emotional perspective. Emoticons at least provide some additional information/insight. Anyway I think emoticons are a good thing :-) I also like 3l33t sp34k but not when I'm trying to communicate with people outside of IRC or other forums where it is uncommon. , ,
  17. I found these about a month ago but just hadn't got around to posting. I bought a case of the briefs and they seem to hold about 1.5 liters, tapes are reasonably secure, and in my opinion they are quite comfy. If I remember correctly they are made by Kimberly-Clarke and are quite popular here...in Asia. Haven't tried the pull-ups but I would assume they would hold about the same.
  18. @diaperedcoach & all other NY fans Congrats!!! You called it and game well done! It was a nail-biter till the bitter end. @SD, Repaid1, We don't get commercials here due to NFL licensing restrictions so I hope they were worth watching.
  19. @diaperedcoach No matter how this ends up and it will end up badly for the Giants, just maybe not for ELI ;-) Seriously I won't be upset if either team wins I just hope we don't end up with a game of fumbles. BOTH teams and probably the Giants more so have gone through extraordinary efforts this season. Best of luck to all with any bets.
  20. I'm from Boston and I still consider (regardless of formality) that New York is part of New England however wrongminded that may be, AND even though I stand corrected AND New York considers Connecticut as part of it's tri-state area (yes I know it is not the same thing), it just boils down to the fact that everyone has to root for the Pats!!!!!!!! AND/OR watch it just for the commercials! Go Ferris Go!!!
  21. Dear Admins, While not wanting to submit myself to tyranical scrutiny (I'm kidding), recently I've been experiencing numerous database "Driver" and 404 errors ("Index not Found"), trying to access the forums. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this or if it is a backup related thing but it seems to be happening more frequently. Any reason for this? Forum pages always seem to come back after 10-15 minutes but it still seems odd and as always I'm just curious to the weird error. All the Best!
  22. I'm still holding out for the sextuple core Ix, with the 128 channel surround In all seriousness what game are you guys playing? I don't mean the "How big is yours thing?" I mean what PC game or applications actually use this. I must be getting old
  23. Edit: Okay this is awkward, my post was drafted and somewhat in reply to Repaid1 but obviously I'm too slow in my posting......yikes! I hear you both. The only reason I bought a Mac in the first place was that Apple finally went with a loosely BSD based OS. Therefore I was comfortable with the command line and ability to "control" my environment. Prior to this I was a DOS/WINDOWS/Solaris/RTE6/VMS guy. The last two OS's are not personal computer OS's btw. I know I spent too much on this friggin laptop with the Apple tax and I won't do it again...I will keep this puppy ticking like Timex. But I also haven't been super impressed with any other OS lately either (lack of motivation to switch). I haven't heard the Schwinn/Huffy analogy since I was in middle school at least. I never had a Schwinn but had a Huffy and Diamond Back at some point between middle and high school before graduating to a Sunbird 2+2. ;-) Anyway...whatever gets the job done, and...for the least bucks.
